Clarabumps,
I'm in the Gorbals as well and could meet you even closer than town!!

Mechm · 09/07/2008 21:19

Hiya

Sorry we missed the meet up today but couldn't get my plans swapped.
Clarabumps meeting in town would suit me, Princess square is quite good as the wee ones can run about downstairs while the mummies have a coffee. If anyone fancies meeting there let me know.

geordieminx · 09/07/2008 21:48

Hey ladies.

Jacs and I had a lovely mini meet-up today - her dd is beautiful and so polite, ds was... asleep most of them time... like all babies should be

Clarabumps · 10/07/2008 11:23

littlepig · 13/07/2008 21:06

Mechm · 13/07/2008 21:10

ReneeB · 30/07/2008 14:37

Hey all, am totally new to mumsnet and to glasgow!! been here 4 months, moved from near edinburgh, but am actually australian! am 28, have a 16month old son, am a sahm, and have no idea whats on or where to go! love to go for coffee/odd glass of wine!! any suggestions for soft play areas near bellahouston?!? does everyone know everyone already?? not sure how these work!!

midnightexpress · 30/07/2008 17:14

Hi all (v quiet on here just now. ust be the sunshine )- and hello to ReneeB. There are a couple of soft play areas on the Southside - Whale of a Time in Shawlands and the softplay in Queen's Park glasshouse - not that near to Bellahouston, but the right general area! And there are nice cafes in Pollok Park (at the Burrell and at Pollok House) - we spend half our lives in Pollok Park btw, so if you're ever around give us a shout and we can meet up for coffee if you like. My ds2 is 18mo so quite close in age to your ds - there are otehrs on here with dcs the same age too, though they're all being a bit quiet at the moment - Weeonion, where are you??? Geordie??? Trixy??? Bookthief???

Jacs008 · 30/07/2008 19:42

hey all, I've been a popping in and out :-). Bellahouston and Pollock parks are both on my side of the city too, haven't been to either for years though, so if anyone fancies a meet up then I'm game. DD is 2.5 and DS will be 6 months on Saturday, where has all the time gone!!!

vio · 30/07/2008 22:44

Hello again everyone Hello ReneeB, I have been living in Glasgow for just over 2 years now, I have a son but sadly he passed away last year, I am now expecting again and am due in Nov. I am from Hong Kong. Yes, some of us have met and become good friends.

I think there are quite a number of us who aren't Scottish but of course there are scottish mums here too and they are super nice! I think everyone on this thread are very friendly really.

midnightexpress · 31/07/2008 09:49

OK then, does anyone fancy a meet-up in Pollok Park next Friday morning (8th August)? We could meet in the Burrell cafe and maybe take a trip to the swings as well, weather permitting?

I think that the cafe opens late on a Friday, if I remember correctly, 11am, so perhaps swings first?

Jacs008 · 31/07/2008 12:56

I'd like to come,

Jacs DD 2.5 and DS 6 months

midnightexpress · 31/07/2008 13:35

Jacs my ds1 is nearly the same age as your dd (he's 2.8) so they can amuse each other.

Mechm · 31/07/2008 22:06

I can make the meet next week.

Michelle DS 23months

trixymalixy · 31/07/2008 22:19

ME - I have been offline because the cable to my laptop broke. I have sent you an email.

I can probably make the meet up next week too.

ReneeB · 01/08/2008 12:14

thanks for responses re soft play!! would love to have been able to meet up next week, but husband has a few days off so we are heading up north to go camping!! next time though...

Jacs008 · 06/08/2008 20:12

Is the meetup still on for Friday at the Pollock Park Burrell Cafe? I haven't been to the park in a long time so just want to make sure that there is only one cafe in case I end up loitering around the wrong one!

Mechm · 06/08/2008 22:32

I'm still up for the meet on Friday, Is the cafe as you drive up from the pollokshaws road entrance. What time suits everyone to meet.

Jacs008 · 07/08/2008 19:29

will we say meeting at the cafe at 10.30am?

I'll have 2 small people, a red mcclaren buggy and a green stripy sling that resembles a deck chair :-)

Mechm · 07/08/2008 21:06

That's fine by me, I will have a blue buggy with a scooby bag on the back of it and one small boy.
