We've now vacated the pregnancy threads - hope everyone can find us here!

Sorry guyys but we're not going to come along this morning.I'm feeling dreadful and I'm guessing DS feels the same given how grumpy he is.

Don't really want to pass it on to anyone.

TALLULAHBELLE · 09/02/2008 10:59

Lovely to see everyone on Friday. Where all the newbies though? We're not that scary really .

AngelKG77 · 10/02/2008 09:39

Hi all! Sorry we missed you...rheumy appt ran way late and at noon as I was finally heading in that direction, I realized that everyone was probably on their way home, so we just went home for lunch ourselves... Next time we're there!!!

Anyone up for something this Thursday?

midnightexpress · 10/02/2008 11:48

Great to see everyone - the LOs are getting so BIG! And what a cute bunch. Hope all the sniffles are getting better and we haven't passed anything on to those who were sniff-free.

Sorry not to see any of the newbies too. Come along next time.

This week probably no good for us - we're frantically packing boxes (the dust...the dust) to de-clutter the flat before we get it on the market. Though obviously a slow process with two expert re-clutterers following hot on my heels. [hmmm]

midnightexpress · 10/02/2008 11:48

BTW, trixy, we're going to be neighbours

weeonion · 10/02/2008 11:58

good morning folks! what a beaut day out there - we are waiting in for someone to come and collect bags of my discarded clothes for freeshare. midnight - its a greta way to get rid of the stuff that you no longer want / need. nearly everything i have put on has ben taken by someone - from 10 white tiles , cd racks to bubble wrap!

so nice to see you all on friday and yep - aint they all growing!!! back in june when we first met up - they were all wee things or in tulla case - yet to mke an appearance. hope they are all feeling a bit brighter now. C has been one of the lucky ones this winter - all bugs and lurgy seem to have passed her by. i kow i'll regret saying that as she will no doubt come down with everything this week!

bookthief - i said to you about friday for garscube but i had forgotten that i have a taster session with gymbabies at cumbernauld - if anyone fancies it?? would thursday suit you to head to garscube instead??

trixymalixy · 10/02/2008 13:50

I'm so gutted not to have got to see all the wee ones. Poor DS burst into tears every time i put him down, so he obviously wasn't feeling the best.

That's fab news about the flat midnight!! I was having a wee look on the GSPC website to see if I could work out which flat it might be. Is it a big old grand one?

lp77 · 12/02/2008 12:02

Sorry missed out on Fri, oe yous had nice time. I am at class for next 5 fridays... oh yes bikini body I want but wont happen in 5 weeks!

Tallulahbelle, we are flying emirates to brissy, oldest girl will be 2 in may, and youngest is just over 3 months just now.
Did you start weaning your daughter in Oz? We only away for 3 weeks so youngest one should still be ok...I say hopefully

Hopefully we will make it to next meet up.

Cant remember who asked me which bounce n rhyme |I go to, was it you Clu? This morning was at KNightswood lib but go to partick on wednesdays too.

Hope you all well xx

bookthief · 12/02/2008 13:58

Hi all

Lovely to see people last week. Ds fell asleep in the car on the way home again (well, actually in the buggy while standing outside the car chatting to WO) so I ended up sitting reading my book outside the flat until he woke up. I've been doing a lot of that

WO, Thursday is out for me as meeting a friend in the morning and the car's getting MOT'd as well. How about the following Thurs or Fri?

TALLULAHBELLE · 12/02/2008 21:24

lp77 Yep started DD on solids in Oz. Have flown Emirates once & thought they were pretty good. Not flown with baby though. I am planning on going to B&R @ Partick tomorrow. Will look out for smne with new bubs, toddler & bikini bod!

ellesbelles · 12/02/2008 21:45

Evening all, sorry I missed the meet up, AA was in hospital getting her cleft palate repaired. All a bit hectic and stressful, but its good to be back home and good that she is starting to be like her usual cheeky wee self.

Let me know when the next one is going to be and we'll try our best to be there.

how are you all?

TALLULAHBELLE · 13/02/2008 20:50

Good news Ellsbells

Anyone know where I can get a list of registered childminders? Can't find anything online, are a few listed in Yellow Pages but not very many.

Am looking into that nursery you mentioned Bookthief but not sure I can get DD there in the morning & to work on time all on foot. Have you had any luck yet WO ?

midnightexpress · 13/02/2008 20:55

Tallulah I think you can get a list from the council if you give them a call. Can't remember which dept, but I must have figured it out from the phone book or the council website I think (it was a while ago and a whole other pregnancy ago now!).

Ellesbelles happy to hear dd is making a good recovery from the surgery - hope to see you next time.

Trixy - not on gspc and I think it's come down from rightmove now, but it is a converted lower ground in a big Victorian house - a bit dark but lots of space and a big garden so fingers crossed we can sell our place now. the tidying is driving me nuts already and we haven't even started the viewings yet!

TALLULAHBELLE · 13/02/2008 21:24

Thanks Midnight, will check that out.

EsmeWeatherwax · 13/02/2008 21:42

Hello, can I join your lovewly thread, and maybe even a meetup sometime? I live in Renfrewshire, work part time in Glasgow, am 35, and have one dd, who is 10 months old. Basically don't know that many mummies, since most of my friends are resolutely childless, so I'm feeling a bit out of it, lol, spend most of my social life at my mum's! So I'd love to have some mum mates to chat to occasionally.

EsmeWeatherwax · 13/02/2008 21:43

lovely, your lovely thread.

midnightexpress · 13/02/2008 21:48

Hi Esme - I see from your profile that you're a library person - you'll have to work out who the other one is from the nicknames and promise not to tell on her

DD is a cutiepie!

geordiemacminx · 13/02/2008 21:49

Welcome!!! There are quite a few of us on this thread now - most of us have babies from 2 months to 2 years!!

My ds is 9 1/2 months - we stay in Lanarkshire!

geordiemacminx · 13/02/2008 21:51

Your cat looks hard as nails!!!

midnightexpress · 13/02/2008 21:53

I think we should probably update the stats shouldn't we? I know I'm confused about who-all is on here now.

ESPECIALLY when they don't come to meet-ups .

EsmeWeatherwax · 13/02/2008 22:03

Midnight, have already had a shufty at a few profiles and saw the other library person! so hello to Bookthief too! And thank you for the compliment, that was dd at 7 months I think, my favourite photo!

Geordie, thanks for the welcome! The cat, is, in fact, as hard as nails. But he loves a cuddle too, which dd is always happy to provide, much to his dismay. I think he's permanently in a bad mood because we called him Noodle.

lunachick9 · 13/02/2008 22:08

Hi everyone. Not been on in a while as the girls seem to be reaching that stage when they need to be constantly entertained which is tiring (especially when they don't nap particularly well) but I suppose I shouldn't complain when they sleep so well at night.

midnightexpress - would have loved to pop along to the last couple of meets but I always seem to have appts whenever they are arranged - was at the dentists last Friday. Will definitely try to get along to the next one.

lunachick9 · 13/02/2008 22:10

Meant to say Hi to EsmeWeatherwax.

Sorry

EsmeWeatherwax · 14/02/2008 21:15

Hi Luna! See...this is why I'm rubbish at internet boards, I don't go online during the day when I'm not at work, so its 24 hours before I reply to anything...just as well I go to work or I'd never have time to surf t'internet...

lillee · 16/02/2008 23:00

Hey ladies!

Can't believe i missed the meet up! Been keeping tabs for weeks but because i haven't posted for ages it went off my radar. Hope the ones who made it had a great time and that me and DS can get along to the next one!
