geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 20:12

Well welcome then Karen.

If you have little children we quite often go to time twisters nr the Gyle if you would ever like to come?

karen999 · 01/02/2008 20:54

Oh, that sounds good....let me know when you are planning your next visit!

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 20:55

And you see I now know you have a dd who is 11 months... my ds is 9 1/2 months.

You have a mn stalker - not really - I popped onto the routine thread, wanted to make sure that I wasnt the only mummy that was flying by the seat of her pants, and that is up at am EVERY morning without fail.

karen999 · 01/02/2008 20:59

Lol...not much of an age gap then!!Actually sounds like fun. Let me know. I go back to work next month but could meet up before then and perhaps at weekends too!! Dd2 doesn't have many playdates her age as dd1 is 8!!

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 21:04

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 21:19

It only took about half an hour I drive like a loon quite quickly

karen999 · 01/02/2008 21:23

I am a most frantic careful driver too!!

weeonion · 01/02/2008 22:18

ok folks - are we ahving this meet up or what i seem to recall a suggestion for wednesday? early afternoon at winter palace??

book theif - we were at garscube today but didnt spot you??

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 22:32

Works for me.

trixymalixy · 02/02/2008 12:52

WO - I can only do Thursdays and Fridays now as I go back to work on Monday .

GMM - DS was screaming his head off so I didn't have much of a chance to speak to them about it. I'll be going in all guns blazing next week tho.

midnightexpress · 02/02/2008 17:22

trixy - poor you - hope next week is better. Gawd, it's bad enough leaving them for the first time without coming back to find him all blotchy. Hope he's OK now?

Can I ask you what nursery it was? We really liked the place we saw this morning so may be joining you over there soon if it works out. V early days though. We've been told good things about Oakwood House?

midnightexpress · 02/02/2008 17:23

Oh and hello Karen.

And yes, meetup would be good. I can probably fit in with other people. How about a Friday morning?

trixymalixy · 02/02/2008 19:38

Friday morning would be good for me for a meet up.

ME - It was the four seasons nursery on Waterloo St. It's got a good reputation and loads of people from my work put their kids in there, so I'm hoping it was just a one off.

I have a place in Oakwood for DS starting in the summer. We have been on the waiting list for ages as it's really popular. It is supposed to be really good.

Ooh, where's the flat you were looking at? i hope it works out for you.

midnightexpress · 02/02/2008 21:30

Oooh thanks trixy - good to know. Will look into Oakwood further if it all progresses. The house is just round the corner. Do hope the nursery works out for you, but at least you've got the other place up your sleeve so current place can be temporary.

weeonion · 03/02/2008 21:41

i should have thought - fridays suit trixy & booktheif better. how woudl this friday suit the rest of you all?? friday later morning at winter palace??

midnightexpress · 03/02/2008 21:44

I think that's OK for us (brain addled by lack of sleep).

weeonion · 03/02/2008 21:47

ME - hey there. how you all doing??

midnightexpress · 03/02/2008 21:51

Oh not bad WO - youse?

Both boys have midwinter lurgy (again), hence lack of sleep, but my mum's around at the moment, so getting some respite during the day, so all OK.

How's that lovely dd of yours? She must be about crawling by now?

bookthief · 04/02/2008 18:12

Friday sounds good.

Last friday I managed to get completely lost and never made it to Garscube... I'm still racking my brains as to how I managed it but I ended up circling Woodside (possibly), ds fell asleep in the back of the car and the whole day was buggered.

I've got the sense of direction of a cucumber but it would have probably helped if I'd looked up the address on Wednesday when I had Internet access rather than relying on a "feeling" that I knew where I was going. Should have texted you for directions WO. Am Idiot.

midnightexpress · 04/02/2008 19:14

are not idiot bookthief, tis like looking for proverbial needle in haystack
