Any one fancy big picnic type meet up? Cannon Hall perhaps? Shall we throw some ideas about?

Here's mine - Cannon Hall, once school breaks up but before 18th August! Any weekeday fine for me in hols!

Phoenix/Gingermonkey etc- stop swearing or using " distasteful" language on your thread as my school system won't let me on because of it!!

so where are you leaving the keys so I can get in and clean the oven? Shall I just pick em up when I drop G off - she's all packed and ready to go?!
I cleaned my hob today, all by myself and it is lovely and shiney. In fact, I expect you all to come round and have a look at my clean oven soon, and now I have a matching hob (well, nearly - it's not as good as the oven because my back started to hurt and I got bored after a while). Lucnh at my house everyone? (Nothing cooked in the oven though - don't want to get it dirty!)hee hee.

Is the meet up still on? Would love it to be Temple Newsam (nothing to do with that I live 5 mins down the road!!)

Mama G you have to come so we can talk all things Wilby!

Hello Chorusline! Am hoping that it'll still be on - should be a few of us who can make it at least.

Sneaked in from April postnatal thread - would be keen on meet up too. My Ds is only 8 weeks at mo, but it'll be nice to meet some other mummys.
I'm in Leeds so would prefer Roundhay but I can travel.
Will keep an eye on the thread for a decision on where and when.

sounds fun! We can have a roundhay one as well!!!!
dont get on much but will keep checking for dates etc.

Report
sarahhal · 13/06/2007 15:13

Did we decide that Roundhay would be easier for people to get to who are on public transport?

I don't actually live in Leeds but come from there and hope to move back up north some day. Would be interested in knowing about future plans in case I can gatecrash some time, can't make Temple Newsam easily for reasons of date and location in Leeds area (public transport and mum now lives in Ilkley).

Bump for a Yorkshire meet-up x

Report
sarahhal · 21/06/2007 21:18

More bumps!!

Shall we try and decide firstly which week is best for everyone?

I can do anything from 23rd July.
Week beginning 23rd was original idea, but Wakefield primaries don't finish until that week, so week beginning 30th?

Still Roundhay Park?

Thanks for linking to this thread, trib!

I'm interested in a meet, and can offer fmv a lift from Harrogate, if I can make the chosen date. I work from home, so I'm pretty flexible about dates. Roundhay/ Temple Newsam both good venues for me.

ooh ta BB! (are you sure? You've not met the beastly boys yet...)
Northerner has also offered but TBH, I haven't even checked what day of the week that is. I will sadly be working, tues, weds and thurs in the hols

Someone needs to pick a date and announce it. Or we'll be going round in circles for ever!!

Report
bettythebuilder · 25/06/2007 11:52

oh, fmv, that sounds like a whole lotta work going on!
(and yes to a lift- likewise, you haven't met my "d"d who is 4 going on 14 at the mo!)
If Northerner can also come, we should have plenty of car spaces between us.
I'll tell harrogatemum to keep an eye on this thread, too, altho' she's also gone back to work part time, now.

Shall we go back to the original idea of Roundhay Park, Wednesday 25th July as no one has suggested otherwise?

Will start a new thread tomorrow to relaunch if no objections!!

I can't do WEdnesday's. Has to be Mon/Fri for me...

Would love to come - if allowed after a MN absence of oooo....ages. Can't do the date in July but if thing change would like to come along. I'm on the York side of Wetherby.

Just to complicate things after butting in on thread: Newby Hall is a great picnic venue(no heavy traffic, loads of parking, sculpture park, mini train ride, playground, paddling pool, Jane-Austen-period-costume-drama-gardens....)

Report
Gingermonkey · 27/06/2007 19:28

Ok - a show of hands please for which dates are best - 3 choices, weds july 25th, monday july 30th or friday August 3rd. The venue will be Roundhay Park, it is easiest for public transport and parking and is also easy to find for those of us coming from afar.
Whichever date gets the most votes gets the go ahead. My choice is friday 3rd (we all have to choose one date, no fence sitting!!!! )
Closing date for votes is monday 2nd july.....get voting ladies!!!!
