23rd is the friday, is it the 22nd you mean? I think I can make it. Checked diary at it seems clear on the 22nd.

PhoenixGirl · 20/01/2007 18:17

Yes you're right so for me it'll have to be Friday 23rd as that is my day off.

Hello again Gingermonkey - hope to meet you in Feb!

PhoenixGirl · 20/01/2007 21:03

Hanlou007 · 20/01/2007 22:38

I would love to join you all but i am allergic to play centres in school holidays ....I was a nanny for too long .

If anyone fancies meeting up any other time i am up for it....get me away from cbeebies.

Also anyone know of any nice and friendly P&T groups in the area?

PhoenixGirl · 20/01/2007 22:39

Hi Hanlou whereabouts r u?

OP posts:
gingermonkey · 20/01/2007 22:52

I'm going on the leeds meet up on the 23rd but that is early on, 9.30 meet. Depending on what time you lot are meeting up I can maybe do both? I'll keep watching and fingers crossed I'll be able to get there. Where is Leapfrogs? (I'm useless with anything that's not in wakey or leeds!!!!)

Keep me posted! x

gingermonkey · 20/01/2007 22:55

Hanlou, I'm a sahm so most days are good for me. How old are yours? I have a 7 yr old dd and 15 mth ds and am in Midgley (near the sculpture park, kind of! - hardly anyone ever knows where it is!!!!!)

PhoenixGirl · 20/01/2007 22:56

It's Skelmanthorpe only a bit out of wakey.

R u in Wakey or Leeds?

I'm from Wakey but now live in Barnsley but work in Wakefield.

How many kids you got and what age? boys or girls?

Our past meet ups have been 1 o'clock ish

OP posts:
PhoenixGirl · 20/01/2007 22:59

Soz cross posts.

I can do mornings but work afternoons, however i have a rolling day off so if a meet up falls on a day off i can do anytime

My ds is nearly 1

Thought it was but I get confused with all the diff ones! I did go once, but it was closed - typical! Have heard lots of good things about it tho. I'm in Midgley, so just down the road from there. 1pm is prob perfect.

Hanlou007 · 20/01/2007 23:06

I live in Fenay bridge in Huddersfield (near Lepton off Wakefield Rd)..DD1 21mths and DD2 7mths....
Not getting out much as its a bit of a mission with both in this bad weather and getting me down.

Also not from up here so dont really know many people...God i sound a sad case

Hanlou007 · 20/01/2007 23:08

gingermonkey wheres midgley?

PhoenixGirl · 20/01/2007 23:09

This particular play centre is only small and is in a small village so it shouldn't get that busy (but i've only ever been once so don't take my word for it )

OP posts:
gingermonkey · 20/01/2007 23:10

Hanlou, I know the feeling - I'm from Suffolk so I kind of stick to where I know and get a bit pathetic when I have to venture out of my safety zone!!!! You're not far from me then, I'm sure I drive past Fenay Bridge (or a sign for it at least!) on the way to Hudds - god my geog is useless!

gingermonkey · 20/01/2007 23:11

Crossed post with you hanlou! Midgley is off wakefield road, just past flockton and just before west bretton. Prob 10 mins from you? (someone correct me if I'm wrong!) Do you know where new hall prison is? It's just a bit on from there! (NICE!!!)

PhoenixGirl · 20/01/2007 23:12

Better than mine gingermonkey i've never heard of fenay bridge (sorry)

Hanlou007 · 20/01/2007 23:14

Its the new Goerge Wimpy house that drop down on your left on wakefield rd.
I am from London and been up here 3 and 1/2 years...Been ok as my hubby works shifts so he was a round a lot....But he is starting his own business as well as working shifts so dont have him around much and starting to feel very lonely and bored.

PhoenixGirl · 20/01/2007 23:19

My dh works shifts. He's on nights now that's why i'm on here so late. Then he'll be in bed most of tomorrow so i'll be bored all day and probably on here again

OP posts:
Hanlou007 · 20/01/2007 23:21

I know that feeling Phoenixgirl. Mine is on a 18 day break at the moment but doing other work. I hate it when he is on nights....Never bothered me before the babies come but hardly sleep now.

PhoenixGirl · 20/01/2007 23:22

I do like the bed to myself tho

OP posts:
gingermonkey · 20/01/2007 23:23

I've been here for 8 years, since I met dh. Lived in Leeds before that tho, so I do tend to go over there rather than wakey or hudds (and have prob only been to Barnsley a couple of times - and have never driven myself!!!!) Dh always tells me I'm a saddo because I flap if I have to drive somewhere new!
Is it where the new roundabout is, just by a chimney or something, and a really steep road opposite, called chimney lane or something?

gingermonkey · 20/01/2007 23:24

Excited as there is a southerner close by! Someone that won't laugh when I say baaath!

Hanlou007 · 20/01/2007 23:27

Yup thats the one....
It was a deal we couldnt turn down but hoping to move again next year.

I love driving which i need to be as i go to London often to see my family.

Where abouts in Wakey are you? Dont know it that well but if its on the way to the station and mothercare world then i will know it....
