lanza-grotty foxie

i'll do the link now for you.

btw, dd's nappy was full of popcorn shells today!

foxabout2pop · 07/01/2007 21:55

about the popcorn poos - though I was more worried she's die of a salt overdose!!!!

Thanks for doing that link for me. I'm computer illiterate - despite what I claim on my job applications

Paddlechick666 · 07/01/2007 22:00

well i think she's fairly robust tbh, she had olives yesterday too!

i have sold my dd's soul to the Prince of Salt!

no worries on the link, i'll show next time if your ds gets off ebay!

ps: good mother skills wrt dd's watching audrey hepburn in bed with chocolate - i bow down before your excellent skills at raising daughters!

foxabout2pop · 07/01/2007 22:06

Its just so funny how boys are such boys and girls are like tiny women isn't it?

DD used to prance round in my shoes, with a pink fluffy handbag in one hand and a toy mobile stuck to her ear - gabbling away in baby language. Mind you, that was a direct imitation of our childminder, who's mobile is always ringing!!!

..she clearly has more friends than me

Paddlechick666 · 07/01/2007 22:09

lol @ Foxie

what can i say, Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Maps is my new bible!

d'you mean your dd or your CM has more friends than you?

i'm normally nearly asleep by now but wide awake - d'you think it's due to eating almost an entire large bar of G&B almond choc?

hey ho!

foxabout2pop · 07/01/2007 22:14

Paddle - CM deffo has more friends than me or perhaps friends that like to talk more

DD has precisely three friends. She's named her baby in her tummy after one; she gets DS to write letters to the second and the last one has the same middle name, which is why she likes her. She's started asking if they can come back for tea already - 3 year olds!!?

I feel wide awake too - this might call for half a glass of wine to make me relax...

Thanks for doing that link BTW!!!

Heard any more from DH?

Paddlechick666 · 07/01/2007 22:19

lol, your kids are priceless!

dd has been a gem today, despite her woes. i found the orange squash bottle in the washing machine earlier!

no prob on the link.

nothing from dh since Fri evening when he told me toe op no prob coz "i am good with pain and it can't be worse than childbirth"

arse.

i know i'm pre-menstrual and that is always a factor but i am becoming more and more used to the idea of going on alone and also realising that i can do it on my own.....

thanks for asking btw

foxabout2pop · 07/01/2007 22:24

Arse is right - cheeky fecker!!!

Your DD has clearly inherited the housework gene!

Nighty night

Paddlechick666 · 07/01/2007 22:28

not from me she hasn't - I'm a slattern!

MrsBigD · 07/01/2007 22:30

I'm a 12/14 now so why is it so hard to believe I was a 16 once? after all it's baby fat LOL. Actually believe it or not I was even bigger than a size 16 at varying stages of my life

PC, shame your dh hasn't got it together yet. Ideally he should read your new 'bible' as well. Maybe clobber him around the head with your copy? BTW you won't be alone, you have us mad mares to aid you

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 08/01/2007 08:02

well, I have just been royally fucked over by my nanny.

am now left without childcare this week and an urgent need to find new childcare.

and after nearly 3 weeks at home over xmas where i could've been settling dd into a new setting........

to have your boyfriend ring at 7:30am on a Monday morning and tell you all this and then tell you they don't give a fuck that I have been let down is just incredible.

like i need another bloody stress in my life FFS!

uwila · 08/01/2007 08:04

BigD... yeah, I was supposed to come round last Thursday, but... uh... well.... forgot.

When are you moving, as presumably that's my deadline.

Paddle, I can can give you the name of a few babysitters if you want to come out with us. Regarding your DH, you should bonk him hard with a paddle and consider it your therapy. I'm always here, paddle, if you want to chat. Fancy an after work chat anytime?

MrsBigD · 08/01/2007 08:08

PC nanny trouble sucks. If need be I can take your dd a for a couple of days. Though I have to drive to Marlow tomorrow. How does she travel?

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 08/01/2007 08:13

mrsb, thanks! she's a crap traveller but tomorrow is my day off anyway.

i've put posts on CMs and Nannyshare so will see what turns up.

i just find their whole attitude incredible tbh. this has been under discussion for over a month and all was sorted as far as i was concerned.

the other family have apparently put a lot of pressure on regards cut in salary and hours etc which has resulted in the situation.

so i am just an innocent bystander.....

uwila, thanks for the advice. i must just bonk him out the door.

thanks for after work chat offer but tbh, early eves are spent getting dd into bed. dare i say it, i don't want screw her routine as it's just starting to pay dividends!

happy to catch up at weekends tho...........

uwila · 08/01/2007 08:14

Oh paddle, cross posted. I missed you nanny message. Do you want me to ask my nanny if she wants to do a nanny share until you can arrange other care? I think she would probably appreciate the increased income.

uwila · 08/01/2007 08:26

Paddle, just sent you an e-mail.

Paddlechick666 · 08/01/2007 08:27

hi yeah, actually that could be really helpful.

i'm frantically searching options but it's going to be a week or two at least before i get sorted with something more permanent.

just got your email, will respond via that.....

foxabout2pop · 08/01/2007 08:45

Oh Paddle that's a real bloody nuisance isn't it?

Reliable childcare is golddust.

I hope you get something sorted with Uwila's nanny. I'd offer you my CM in the interim, but she is up to her limit I think and also is in Kew. If you need to, let me know and I'll ask her.

Paddlechick666 · 08/01/2007 08:52

thanks foxie, really want someone more local tho as you can imagine.

seems nanny had unfair pressure from other family etc and whilst i do feel badly for her i thought this was all sorted before xmas.

i feel very badly let down.

just exactly what else can go wrong in my car crash life?

foxabout2pop · 08/01/2007 08:56

you really wanna know?...

Seriously, I often find that crappy events come in clusters, so you should be due for a run of fab luck soon.

Maybe DD will make you a millionairess with her modellling skills?

sfxmum · 08/01/2007 08:57

good morning just quick scan can see Paddle has been put in bad situation - sorry if you desperate you can drop dd here, i am limited has i don't drive and don't have double buggy but happy to mind her for a little while if it helps

hi everyone else, managed to sleep which is the best cure for migraine now need coffee

uwila · 08/01/2007 09:20

Oh oh oh... sfx, can you loan us the double buggy for a couple of weeks, if we need it?

If it works out with my nanny (whom I haven't spoken to yet so it's early days) then we'll need a double as my DS and Paddle's DD will both need to sit in the pram to do the school run for my DD into Twickers.

Paddlechick666 · 08/01/2007 09:42

no uwila! you speed read too fast - sfx doesn't have a double!

breach is filled for this week after a bit of shifting around with my mother and a large amount of last minute stepping in from our australian feathered friend!

feelers are out for a longer term solution but still interested in what your Nanny has to say Uwila. Only think the buggy and times might be an issue.

at least this week is sorted.

sfx, thanks for offering, very kind.

dd is sleeping now but y'know i might just join you at Mothercare at 11:30 - is it suitable for 14months?

;-)

uwila · 08/01/2007 09:51

Oops. Sorry. Just trying to help.

If you want to look at next week, or any week thereafter, I'm still happy to do that.

sfxmum · 08/01/2007 09:52

hi paddle i have never been to the class just saw the flyer last time i was in it says 18monthds to 5yrs but i guess there are no rules about sitting in the cafe which is where it happens
