Here are one or two suggestions, depending on who wants to come...feel free to add your own!

The Old Manor in Potters Bar, lovely pub restaurant with great food, mixed, mainly English style.

Via Pensiare in Radlett. Lovely lovely Italian restaurant frequented by Madonna and Vinny Jones.

My local curry house - yum yum - The Viceroy in Bricket Wood.

Yes please, I really couldn't care where !!!!! Any date in mind ?

Janstar · 28/04/2004 13:58

As for dates - what evenings are okay for you? Most any evening is okay for me, with a bit of warning.

I would like to come, but I dont drive, well not at the moment, my test in July 5, so Ill find it difficult to get to places.

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 14:07

tammybear, whereabouts are you ?

tammybear · 28/04/2004 14:09

Watford

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 14:11

as long as i have a bit of warning I'm pretty flexible, although have a few dates already booked in May - more than usual for some reason. And I may have to miss my yoga, exercise, step and spinning classes (that's a joke!)

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 14:13

Tammybear I'm sure we could arrange a pick up for you depending where we go and who is coming.

Janstar · 28/04/2004 14:14

I think we should leave this thread for a couple of days and see who posts and what their preference is for restaurants, areas and nights of the week before we start suggesting dates etc then.

Tammybear don't worry we will work something out.

Kayleigh you sound desperate for a night out. I am going drinking (to a pub quiz in fact) in Mill Hill tonight, you are welcome to come along! My friend and I are terrible anoraks though!

Ok thanks

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 14:41

Thanks Janstar. And I do love a good quiz - I am crap, but I love 'em! Unfortunately dh won't be in till late tonight and there is no chance of me getting off the sofa at 9 to go out !

Is the quiz a regular thing ?

Janstar · 28/04/2004 15:15

It's every Wednesday evening in the Adam & Eve pub opposite the research institute.

I don't go every week but once in a while I meet my friend Paul there. It's a scruffy little pub but the quiz is good.

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 15:35

Janstar · 28/04/2004 15:43

If you ever feel like going up on a Weds eve let me know cos I love an opportunity to get out of here!

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 15:47

stace · 28/04/2004 16:19

meandthomas · 28/04/2004 16:20

i dont mind where, i'm pretty flexible when. Fridays are not so good for me.
The white horse in shenley is nice. The old manor does do great food too...
Via Pensiare sounds expensive is it?

looking forward to it... baby sitter on standby

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 16:22

Where is the old manor ? Is that the pub opposite the wyllots centre ?

meandthomas · 28/04/2004 16:25

yes kayleigh it is.

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 16:29

yummm, do nice puds in there if i remember rightly

meandthomas · 28/04/2004 16:42

i dont think ive ever made it to pud!
Maybe next time eh?

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 19:41

meandthomas, you obviously have no stamina girl

Grommit · 28/04/2004 19:44

I would like to come too but can only do Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon nights as dh works away during the week

Kayleigh · 28/04/2004 19:46

Grommit, does your childminder do babysitting ?
Might be worth asking for the odd occasion. And going out with us lot would be odd

Janstar · 28/04/2004 20:05

Stace, no I don't live in Mill Hill, I live in between Watford and St Albans.

meandthomas, Via Pensiare is not as expensive as it sounds. Probably about the same as The Manor, possibly slightly more.

Well I am off to Mill Hill in a moment. Have just had email from friend that another friend is coming too, so that is me out with two male friends again.

Herts/Watford/Barnet people, do any of you have children at primary school who bring home Primary Times?
