A balloon? Will you all still talk to me if I don't have one, so will I have to talk to the farm animals?

dejags · 06/02/2004 15:43

we'll go for a balloon on DS - he usually protests vigorously if I try to put him in his buggy.

I'll get there around 1 and see if I can find any other balloon bearing mums & children...

lydialemon · 06/02/2004 17:18

We got a lovely pink balloon in Mc donalds today, and I've left in in the car in preparation for tomorrow.

harman,
Just stand next to me and you'll feel slimmer!

emmatmg · 07/02/2004 07:05

Oh bugger.......I had a balloon in preparation and now I can't find it.....I even had to steal it from DS1......where is it?.....where is it?.......it will be me and you pie talking to the animals..........

lydialemon · 07/02/2004 09:16

Emma, why oh why are (were) you up at 7am on a saturday morning, or I am just incredibly lazy?

See you all later

emmatmg · 07/02/2004 09:43

Actually up at 5:50am Lydia........you'll meet the reason for that later!!!

emmatmg · 07/02/2004 16:33

Ok ladies...we made it home without any more sick, but the car STINKS anyway. Poorly boy is asleep on the sofa now.
Can't believe I had to leave early, especially as some of us were still arrriving.
sb34 and stressy, I would have loved to talk to you both properly as it seems you're closer to me than I thought. sb, I want to apologise to you as when I asked who you were only caught the 34(even though I asked twice) and I didn't put the 2 together until I was half way home.I doubt there was anyone else there with a number in their nickname so I think it was you anyway

Everyone's kiddies were lovely......at least the glimpses I got of them showed that they were. squirmy, pie and lydia your little bundles are gorgeous. (Don't know if there were any other babies there so sorry if I missed you out) James is screaming again now so he obviously knew we were in good company and didn't want to make a scene.......any more of one anyway with the sick aswell.

One last thing...I'm soooooo jealous of all you breast feeding mums, I was laddened down with bottles, coolbags, flasks, jugs and whatever else and you all seem to travelling so light. Bloody design fault in my boobies!

Did we all imagine everyone looked different then? I did.

Hopefully I'll get to meet you all again....without smelling of vomit!

emmatmg · 07/02/2004 17:04

sorry i didn't get to talk to everyone aswell.....thats what i should have said.

emmatmg · 07/02/2004 18:49

come on....you can't all still be there!

i'm getting paranoid that you've all been sitting around talking about me

Coddy · 07/02/2004 18:51

they are all pissed somewhere!

squirmyworm · 07/02/2004 18:52

hi there emmatmg you beat me too it. Just about to apologise for disappearing so fast. I was hoping to have a wander and then come back to the play barn but ds got a bit chilly and restless so I thought I'd better head for home (my sense of direction is also so dreadful I got lost on the farm site and couldn't seem to work out which way was back so wandered round in circles for ages! - did see a sheep about to give birth though). Would love to have spent more time wity you all - didn't even really get the chance to say hello properly stressyhead, sykes, mammya, tillymint and twinkie. Hope we meet again. See you on the 19th I hope Lydialemon, and let's do that coffee very soon SB. Pupuce I will tell Siobhan that I met you. Glad the journey home wasn't too bad Emmamtg - vomit notwithstanding! Also hope Pie and Harman got back to redhill ok. Did I forget anyone? sorry if so. It was really GREAT to meet you all - let's do it again soon

tillymint · 07/02/2004 18:58

Hi emma
I second what you say about it not affecting your postings. I enjoyed meeting you all today. Must admit faces were not as I'd expected, but then again I'm new to this game. Everyone looked very young though.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you, I guess that's why you didn't comment about my baby .

Have to compliment you on your ds1. Polite, well mannered and well spoken - a real poppet. You must be doing something right.

Hope all is well soon.

BTW My booby milk isn't any good, so I too was laden - hey ho!

tillymint · 07/02/2004 19:13

dejags,
Sooooo sorry about the confusion today. Sykes and I felt awful. We didn't realise you hadn't touched base with the rest of the mns. Hope it doesn't put you off. Especially since we're both sept expectees!! Maybe we need to use helium ballons next time?
Take care.

pupuce · 07/02/2004 19:13

It was fun... and now I am knackered.... waiting for my "lady" to go into labour.....

emmatmg · 07/02/2004 19:20

oh bugger tilly.......I'm so sorry.......I did see your little one.........as I was mopping up the sick I think you were holding her on the table......was that you? and her?

Are you expecting again then, being a expectee? or am I reading that wrong. DS3 was a sept baby.

Thankyou for looking after DS1 for me, you know alot of people say that about him BUT he never does it at home....honestly.....NEVER. Still I suppose it'd better that way around isn't it.

Definatley do it again some time.....summertime is lovely there, with a picnic and stuff.

tillymint · 07/02/2004 19:27

emma,
Yes no.3 due in Sept, ds2 will be 13mo then.

If your kids behave when you're not there, thats about the most you can ask of them. Are you at your best at home, with family? I'm not, that's when I can relax and be me...

ppuce, gr8 to meet you. And thanks for all your info and advice re doulas etc. I'm hoping lynette will contact me through my friend. If not perhaps you could put me in touch with your girl in Dorking. Many thanks agian.

emmatmg · 07/02/2004 19:30

Oh bugger again .....you've got a DS2 not a dd.
Wow 13 months, I have to say I am Jealous though....I'd love more.

Sorry, sorry, sorry.

tillymint · 07/02/2004 19:39

No emma, its me.
Where are all my brain cells? I think I've sprung a massive leak - numbers are dwindling daily!

My ds2 is a girl! I have dd1 age 5, and dd2 age 6mths. I have pre senile dementure!

My dh is now calling me to the dinner table - maybe food will help. What's he prepared me tonight?? Will I remember where the d/room is?
Bye for now.....

emmatmg · 07/02/2004 19:50

phew....it was your little lady then....she's scrumptious too

pie · 07/02/2004 20:28

Holy cow, can you say tired??? I left my house at 9.30am and got home at 7pm.

But it was worth it!

It was so lovely to meet everyone and everyone is soooooo good looking

I think I may not have been too communicative. Two reasons: lack of alcohol and the codeine I took for the SPD zoned me out some SORRY!

pie · 07/02/2004 20:32

Oh yes and I want to say a huge thank you to Harman for making it possible for me to attend. THANK YOU!!!

emmatmg · 07/02/2004 20:33

I was wondering how long you day would be pie.....hope your DD1 had a good day and enjoyed the train.
