SYKES, Thanks for the invite, not sure if I can be there for 12.30, but will try. I have 2dds, 5yrs and 6mths (with one on the way). I am 5'3" with short dark hair (just had my roots done) I will be wearing whatever fits.
Stressyhead has worried me with comments of my bravery - am I doing too much too soon? What are the pit falls? Are you all a bunch of nutters?

Of course you're not - have only been on one evening thing about a year ago. Don't know if you've been to Godstone Farm before but it might be a good idea to have a place to meet at 1:30 - outside the playbarn or something or have someone's mobile in case people are late/get lost. Can't comment for anyone apart from sB, (who I've met)- she's barking. Where are you coming from - I live in Godstone - very easy for me.

Sykes, I'm at junction 9 on m25. I've been to Godstone Farm before should be okay for 12.30.

Cheeky ...

sandyballs · 05/02/2004 12:36

Can't come unfortunately. Found out Godson is definitely coming and as it was his birthday last week he wants to go clothes shopping! Have a lovely time - would love to join you all on your next outing.

SoupDragon · 05/02/2004 12:40

I can confirm that SB34 is barking. Mind you, Sykes wasn't exactly sane on the occasion I met her either

sykes, just to make sure I've got the right meet up place.......the cafe is near the big sand pit isn't it? I know the one in play barn but just wanted to make sure we're talking about the same place.

see you all saturday.....

sykes · 05/02/2004 13:45

Emma, I meant the one near the entrance - ie you walk down to where the shop is as you come in and it's on the left? Oh, dear. I've just got a new mobile - shall we exchange nos?

emmatmg · 05/02/2004 13:49

Yes good idea.....I'll send mine now.

lydialemon · 05/02/2004 14:06

Emma, Sykes - you ARE both talking about the same place if that helps!

emmatmg · 05/02/2004 14:29

are we? I'm so crap with directions that sykes's post just flummoxed me.

sykes · 05/02/2004 14:43

But I can't remember a sandpit anywhere near the cafe. I have no idea about directions. I spent five hours once going round the M25 twice. I thought the sandpits were past most of the animals and up the hill? But the cafe is near the shop. The other cafe - up and over the hill isn't really a cafe - is it? More ice creams? Sorry - I'm getting confused.

lydialemon · 05/02/2004 15:02

There is a big sandpit behind the cafe, but I think it was only put in last year? I don't remember it before then, but then I usually go with a packed lunch so don't usually go in there. The original sandpit is off to the right, near the big wooden fort, next to where the big kid climby, swingy things are.

Cafe - follow the left path from the car park until you get to the gift shop, the cafe is a white cottagey building with pub style benches and tables outside, its to the left and behind the gift shop. Does that make any sense?

lydialemon · 05/02/2004 15:03

So, same cafe, different sandpits.

sykes · 05/02/2004 15:11

Thanks - I know where you mean - just never seen the sandpit.

pie · 06/02/2004 08:40

Anyone know if the weather is going to be any better tomorrow?

lydialemon · 06/02/2004 10:14

No idea, but I think I'd better buy DS1 some wellys this afternoon. Pay day today, so going for some retail therapy and a McDonalds in Croydon - I've got my February swap to buy for!

People 'lunching' tomorrow, are you taking packed lunches or getting it from the cafe? What sort of stuff do they do?

lydialemon · 06/02/2004 10:18

Just checked the BBCi forecast for Biggin Hill tomorrow - sunny but cooler (max 8).

dejags · 06/02/2004 15:28

Does anybody mind if I join in if the weather is good and my morning sickness isn't too bad.

DS loves Godstone Farm...

Can somebody give me a summary of the plan, times, lunch plans etc?

Cheers, dejags
