Dear all,
as there seem to be a group of us, would you like to meet up? Maybe in the new year?
I'm in Heaton in Newcastle.

Honeysuckle · 10/05/2004 22:37

Hi again girls,

Thank goodness there is another 36 year old among us! - Thought for a minute I should be on gransnet.com. Then again when you have kids what does age matter? Speedier birth maybe! I am on maternity leave til August. Then back part time. Should we meet during whit week then? Would it be too far out to meet at that newish cafe in Tynemouth - the one on the beach. Just that is spacious if there are a few of us. Am open to any other suggestions though. By the way, when is whit week?

popsycal · 10/05/2004 22:38

where is the cafe???
whit week is...let me work this out....
rest of this week, then 2 more full weeks then whit week...

Honeysuckle · 10/05/2004 22:45

Empty diary for that one! The cafe is right on the beach. I've only been once but I thought it was great - all glass and straight onto the sand. Ok, I'm looking at a map and it is on Long Sands, kind of opposite Tynemouth park and the boating pond. Do you know where I mean?

popsycal · 10/05/2004 22:47

yeah i do - just didn't know it existed!!!

when during whit week is good then?!

Honeysuckle · 10/05/2004 22:55

Well, think Becca said Tuesdays are good for her - is that right? Tuesdays, Wednesdays great by me.

popsycal · 10/05/2004 22:56

tuesday of whit week seeing as the monday is a bank holiday...?
ok?

Beccarollover · 10/05/2004 22:58

yep - great with me

i may have sold my 2 children by then though so might be coming alone!

Honeysuckle · 10/05/2004 23:00

Hey, we're steaming ahead here - nothing like being a mum to get your organisational skills into gear. Tuesday is good for me. That's June 1st, isn't it? Have the kids been naughty Becca???

Beccarollover · 10/05/2004 23:05

Bless them they are gorgeous but today has been testing!!

DS's routine is all to pot so has been being a monkey for bedtime and DD is generally a challenge - she has just had a good old cry becuase "she hated her feet, didnt want them anymore and can i chop them off"

Love them really :D

Beccarollover · 10/05/2004 23:06

Beccarollover · 10/05/2004 23:11

juniper68 · 10/05/2004 23:29

I should be able to make it (if my zimmer doesn't let me down ) but I'll have just been for a long weekend in edinburgh and as I'm goin to my bessie mate's anything could happen!

elliott · 11/05/2004 10:11

Tuesday of whit is ok for me (though it is first settling in day for ds2 at nursery so have to fit in around that). Cafe C at Tynemouth is great - you can't miss it. I'm another oldie btw honeysuckle!

lazyeye · 11/05/2004 10:22

Can I come? I'm in North Shields and will be on mat leave in two weeks, so can make during the week. I think I know the cafe you mean though never been. Would they be able to cope with my two boisterous toddlers though??

Hey girls, 36 here as well....

elliott · 11/05/2004 10:26

lazyeye the cafe is stuffed full of babies and kids (actually that's something we should think about as it will be school holidays....)
The only difficulty will be working out which group of mums and babes to make a beeline for
Maybe the one spanning the generations?

lazyeye · 11/05/2004 10:34

Could get away with one noisy toddler as older one will be at nursery......would love to make it to a meet up at long last & have been meaning to try out that cafe.

Honeysuckle · 11/05/2004 12:42

Hey, I am 36 with first baby! Bet you lot are all experts! DS is 9 months. How old are your brood(s)?? Hopefully it will be a sunny day and we can pile out onto the beach if we find we are terrorising people.

elliott · 11/05/2004 14:31

honeysuckle I'm 37 and have 2 dss - one 5.5 months and one 2 years older. ds1 will be at nursery though.
The cafe is also pretty close to the blue reef aquarium - a good wet weather option for those of you coming from further away and wanting to make a day of it.

lazyeye · 11/05/2004 14:34

I'm 36 with one ds 3 and another son 19months and due again end of June.(secretly hoping it comes a little early as getting very very tired)......I live at the coast but don't make as much use of it as I should

lynziclare · 11/05/2004 17:13

hi, tynemouth cafe sounds great, but is it near a metro station? Anyone got directions from the nearest station? x

Beccarollover · 11/05/2004 17:21

my two are 4 years and 8 months - im definitely up for this, will be good if we all make it and there are a few of us

Honeysuckle · 11/05/2004 17:33
