Dear all,
as there seem to be a group of us, would you like to meet up? Maybe in the new year?
I'm in Heaton in Newcastle.
Miranda.

a place with lots of high chairs sounds good...chilly road has lots of parking nearby too....

elliott · 01/03/2004 20:48

Chilly road is fine....easier for people to find as well. Where do you live, popsy?

miranda2 · 02/03/2004 21:15

ooh, its grim up north! is this the first mumsnetter meet up to be snowed off?
Whos up for 12 on the 13th, at Cafe Picasso, Chilli Rd?

WHo is up for it?

elliott · 09/03/2004 21:27

you can assume I am coming unless I post otherwise
Don't think we really need to book - not going to be huge numbers are there?

popsycal · 09/03/2004 21:32

so is it the place on chilly road then?

RollyMole · 10/03/2004 20:51

Yes, I'll come too.

PS I used to be Ruth21 but have been bored of it for ages--only just figured out how to change my name though. Not sure if this is the right spelling though.

popsycal · 10/03/2004 20:55

so far then
popsy
becca
elliot
roleymole
miranda

anyone bringing kids?

elliott · 11/03/2004 11:16

I'm bringing babe. Rolly, how can there be a wrong spelling to a mn nickname?! And now you've changed it, can I ask why you called yourself Ruth21?

miranda2 · 11/03/2004 20:38

We probably don't need to book Cafe Picasso, but i will if you like. See you there at 12!

rolymoly · 12/03/2004 18:57

Well, I am a pedant at heart so I need to feel the spelling is correct. Dp says it should be spelled rolymole, as in rolypoly, but that's taken by someone who seems never to have posted. This is free though. Trouble with Rollymoly is that it looks like the first part should be pronounced to rhyme with Olly.

Ruth is my middle name, 21 the day of my birthday. (Not, by a very long shot, how old I am!) I didn't realise when I picked it how much your name on mumsnet kind of becomes your identity so I just went for something boring and easy to remember ... then I couldn't remember how to change it when I got fed up.

Anyway, enough trivia, see you all tomorrow.

elliott · 12/03/2004 19:19

Yes, its funny how names assume identities isn't it? No idea what kind of persona my monicker projects and whether that's really like me...
I may be a bit late tomorrow as am leaning towards leaving ds2 at home once he's down for his nap - but should be there by 12.30 latest.
Actually I've never been to Cafe Picasso so not sure which end of Chillingham Rd it is - but no doubt will find my way there eventually!

rolymoly · 12/03/2004 19:21

I think it's in the middle of Chilly Road--in the bit with the shops, but not very close to the Coast Road.

popsycal · 12/03/2004 21:02

ervyone sytill up for it? is it worth finding out how many high cahirs they have?? as i could equally bring ds or not - as necessary!!

popsycal · 13/03/2004 08:20

This meet up has been doomed fromt he start - I spent the night with diahorrea (too much info sorry) and vomitting
will try to get there but if not there by 12:15 I won't be coming. Hope I feel better by then!

popsycal · 13/03/2004 13:28

Sorry ladies - by now you will have realised that I didn't make it today. I have spent the morning throwing my guts up - yuk
Hope you all had a nice time

Beccarollover · 13/03/2004 13:47

same here - ive had to drive to my mams to let you know (as im offline at home now) I have been full of cold since wednesday and think its now turning into sinusitis

I hope you had a good time and really want to do this again when me and popsy are better! PLEASE

elliott · 13/03/2004 20:53

Hi there - really sorry you two couldn't make it, and hope you feel better soon. Me, miranda and rolymoly (aka Ruth21) did manage to meet up and very nice it was to. I don't know where you are, Becca, but maybe the next one could be local to you or popsy? Probably best not to set the date too far in advance or events intervene!

popsycal · 13/03/2004 20:55

Hi there - i am so glad that you had a lovely time.
I have stopped vomitting but am suspecting it may not be food poisoning or a tummy bug....

Beccarollover · 13/03/2004 23:00

next one could be amicis?
