When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going.

In Reverance to QueenVic who needs some cheering up!

I thought last night that it would be nice for us to meet up again soon, a lunch time ish meet with the kids (less organisation required that way!), or if you are lucky enough to be kid free for the day come along anyway! Maybe to see some of the lovely xmas lights around central London. Maybe if JL does have an ad hoc santa to see him too! I went to one of the Giraffe cafe/bars a few weeks ago, which I thought might be a good place to go? Not crowded, not overpowering music, smoke free for the kis, good reasonably priced food and very child friendly. Am open to oher ideas though!

So does anyone have any dates they can/can't do? I really enjoyed our meet up at the weekend and QueenVic is having a bit of a hard time of it at the moment and needs some cheering. Hopefully we will be able to help out and all have a good giggle at the same time.

I can probably do 10th, 11th or 12th December - I realise that includes a weekend, but I'm working till 16th December, then going away for two days just before Christmas. Or the week between Christmas and New Year looks pretty free (assuming I'm not in labour, which by posting that that week looks pretty free is guaranteed, right?!).

QueenVictoria · 30/11/2005 00:00

just seen this!

Thanks flossam everyone is being so great.

Would love to. Friday's are a good day. Simply because DD goes to nursery on a Friday so i only have DS to contend with.

hunkermunker · 30/11/2005 00:01

The only Friday I can do is 23rd December.

QueenVictoria · 30/11/2005 00:04

no worries. i dont get up to much at the moment.

i dont work at the mo or have any plans in december and have done most of my xmas shopping.

Flossam · 30/11/2005 00:11

qv. Can you do a Monday at all? I understand what you mean about having the two of them (well actually I can't imagine how hard it is!) But, the 12th looks to be a good day for you too (23rd I'm hopefully going to be winging my way down to Somerset with my newly driving DP trying not to look nervous!) What do you think? This meet up is about you, really!

12th is fine for me. Might get the grandparents to look after grace still though. I dont fancy dragging a double buggy around london.

hunkermunker · 30/11/2005 00:16

Where's good for everyone to get to? I'm starting to worry about getting a pg bump and DS in a buggy around London!

QueenVictoria · 30/11/2005 00:27

Well Hunker, I'm fine with travelling with DS, I can get to most places, so do you want to say a few places that would be good for you as I can't remember where you are now and we can see what is best for all of us?

Starlover, is the 12th ok for you?

Lockets, would be lovely to meet you!

hunkermunker · 30/11/2005 13:24

I guess ideally it would be somewhere I can get to by car - my absolute top ideal would be Uxbridge or Harrow-on-the-Hill (hah - that's never been said about Uxbridge or Harrow, I bet!).

I realise that's a long way west for the rest of you, so will have more of a think. It's just that all the stations near me have copious amounts of steps and not much in the way of offers of help with buggies, and my most local one is shut on the way out of town, which means an extra-long roundabout journey on the way home.

But it'd be do-able, I'm sure!

QueenVictoria · 30/11/2005 13:24

Lets have a meet up at hunkers

hunkermunker · 30/11/2005 13:25

Spooky - we must've been typing at the same time!

QueenVictoria · 30/11/2005 13:26

She told me she lives in a stately home

QueenVictoria · 30/11/2005 13:27

oooh spooky!

hunkermunker · 30/11/2005 13:27

No, you misunderstood, QV...I live in a home that's a state
