I tried a dress on that was £48 on Saturday. I was praying it didnt look nice so I didnt have to buy it. (I am a proper skinflint!). It was lush with butterflies on it. It didnt fit well enough for nearly £50 though so I left it.

Thing is.

Butterflies are beautiful
Clothes are beautiful
Both of the above fall into my 'favourite things' list

BUT

Clothes decorated with butterflies are almost always hidious.

What is that about?

Look, here it is only my one was in a deep blue/purple with black trim. Shall I go back for it or not? I might not wear it on Saturday though.

I ordered this lovely butterfly dress recently and it made me look like Hattie Jacques in a dishrag. Hideous.

I just don't want to over-dress in case you laugh at me. I'm going to try hard to channel effortless chic.

I am the very wrongest person to ask whether you should buy a new frock.

The answer is always going to be 'Hell Yeah!'

That butterfly one is nice - 70 quid though

Fellatio - I can see why the butterfly one was a mistake. Handkerchief hem and angel sleeves all in one handy garment. The other one is classy though.

It was a lovely dress Sal, the fabric was really pretty - it was just cut a bit to short and wide for me!

I want to see it. I am desperate for a nice butterfly frock.

John Lewis has a gorgeous silk parrot frock for about sixty quid. I nearly bought it, but decided against it purely because I am already Mary Queen of Frocks.

Me too. I lurve frocks. I buy and sell them. I buy em, wear em for a year or so then stick em on ebay and buy some more!

I just bought a yummy one dahn the market for 16 quid. Its buy warehouse. Tis lovely but black and not very exciting for a night out.

Oooh, I'd never thought of selling on old but not worn out things.

I can't decide what to wear - I have got fairly brown legs, so it could be a dress.....

Oh blimey, looks like it's frocks-a-go-go for the Meet-up. I may still buck the butterfly trend and stick with my safe skinnies.

Would love to stop in. Would that be ok? ps I realise it's fairly difficult to say no to this request, but promise not to stay too long - we MNHQers are usually like awkward maiden aunts at meet ups!
