Everything and I mean EVERYTHING depends on me getting a spray tan appointment.

Before you tell me to fark off i have done my essay so ner.

If I get a spray tan (logistics mind boggling) I can wear what I like (bra permitting).

If not I have to cover up my pastiness.

I expect you ALL to be as consumed by this problem as I am.

I have just realised it's this week. Having just realised this I have just deafened dp with screams of "I have nothing to wear!" He just gave me the look.

So I shall be coming wearing nothing but a smile Hope it's warm.

Sad to see so many of you lightweights have dropped out

I feel your pain MrsDV. I am so pasty I actually reflect the sun and therefore never get a tan. The last spray tan I got someone to do on me made me look like a Tangoed tiger. It wasn't pretty. Stay pale and interesting

oh buggery buggeration - I really should have considered that I might have been able to make the meet up seeing as how I am actually in the UK at the moment but sadly that weekend I will be in Harrogate so it ain't going to happen. :(
That will teach me to check in future.

Dragging the rest of the family up wasn't really an option at the last minute, but DP was a bit worried about the train journey so late (he's not controlling honest, just worried - bless). If I can travel to Waterloo with you then we should both be much safer

re: strangers - there's a rule at meet-ups that noone is allowed to sit on their own in a corner .

re: names - at christmas, we all wore names with our nicknames on, but people introduced themselves with their real names.
I then spent the whole night going and not being able to remember anyone's real names, but feeling rude to call them by their nickname. I do not remember names . I have tried, but failed many times.
(as shown by last night's WI quiz - I called Jane, Jo - I have known her a long time, I know her name is Jane. I have no idea where Jo came from, nor was I aware I had done it until it was pointed out to me.
I also thought that William Blake was a very similar name to John Milton. Insofar as I said they started with the same letter)

Right ladies, we have an issue to sort out. DarthNiqabi, who was going to share a room with me, is now having to pull out due to accessibility issues at the hotel. Has anyone got a room in an accessible hotel who might be able to do a roomie swap? Darth and I are both lovely, don't snore and don't bite, I promise!!

If we can't do a swap, and Darth has to pull out , then I have half a room going if anyone is still looking for one.

Booked my appt for 4.45 on friday. Sorted out someone to have the boys whilst i get sprayed.

Need to get my eyebrows done tommorow. Think I will have to sort out my own nails (dammit).

Its all gel/acrylic nail bars round here and I dont want them. So black nail varnish I reckon.

I scoured Colchester (which doesn't take long to be fair) for a nice new get-up and I couldn't find nuffink. I nearly bought a dress from Karen Millen that was forty quid reduced from £160 but I already have a wardrobe full of almost identical frocks just waiting for some momentously dressy occasion to be worn, and I'm not sure the MN meet-up is momentously dressy enough. (no offence, like.)

So I'm back to me nightie.
