I've deliberately tried not to tell people they were lovely in case I don't remember to tell everyone I spoke to, and they get all angsty about it.

Actually Val, you were my biggest shock of the night. I thought you were going to be really tall, about 45 and with a slightly debauched look about you. Because of your name I thought you'd be like Eddie and Patsy from AbFab! I wasn't expecting this young petite thing!!!
