I lost all my excess weight two years LCHFing. It's crept back on over the past year as ive reaching for the frackers, been, eating the kids chips etc. Carb creep and not tracking...means I'm 15lbs over where I like to be ☹️

So, I need to reboot.

I've started tracking today. My aim is to have less than thirty grams carbs a day...

I am armed with double cream, babybel and dark chocolate.

Anyone want to join me?

I've got a dull headache and just felt sick but I've got nothing to vomit. I just had two pieces of dark chocolate double cream and mixed it with my dualit expresso.. Seems to have settled it a bit. Feel so tired am just in bed. My partner made me 3 boiled eggs which I've ate with salt (I eat very salted food). I just can't stomach anything right now. Think it might be the keto flu

I actually am now finding I'm not hungry in the morning so having eggs and bacon for lunch. I've also lost another pound despite drinks last night!

Have to say I'm really enjoying this way of eating! I've always had a huge appetite but I'm not hungry!

How's everyone else doing?

55g carbs. Nearly foiled by a pizza express leggara salad-

When I got home I looked online and it has 22g carbs!!!
Eek!!

Hopefully my long run this morning will offset it a little.

I feel amazing today just have dry lips. Went for a nice walk in the park today with our dog feels good.

I am dying for cake what do you guys think of this is this too many carbs

I’ve had a rocky few days cos I’ve had a horrible throat infection, have been eating whatever I could swollow, which has included soft things like bread.

Feeling better today though so back to it- had yoghurt for breakfast, have Greek salad and chicken for lunch. Not sure what’s for dinner yet, but have a fridge full of veg so will cobble something together.

Hi living ketocake looks lovely. Never used almond or coconut flour before. 13g carbs isn't too bad.

When I get cravings I usually go for dark chocolate as it's only 5g. Then add a cup of tea which is another 5!

Hi, Please can I join you? Lost 2 stone on LCHF but put a stone back on over Christmas which I'm really struggling to lose. What worked before doesn't seem to work now. Is that really a 'thing' or have I just let more carb creep in??? Will pay more attention to what I'm eating and count carbs and am going to reduce the double cream and chocolate (usually have 2 squares of 70% in the evening). Can't possibly cope without my coffee - have 2 or 3 cups a day, depending if I'm working nights or not. Am going on holiday at the end of May so have a definite goal!

Felicia welcome🙂 That's great you've got a goal, it'll keep you focused!

I think it's probably when you stop tracking you think you're on it, still eating low carb, but they creep back in! That's what happened to me anyway!

With the dark chocolate, was limiting myself like you but without tracking I can easily drink 5-6 read a day, and add a square of chocolate with each one! that's 60g carbs before I start eating food!

Today’s focus is water, I always struggle with the water and it makes a difference to weight loss for me.

Started today.

A pp asked about water, the bootcamp threads will answer the question properly but I aim for around 3l a day. Remember this will remove electrolytes and salt from your body so add salt where you can. At first you will feel like you are continually at the toilet but this does settle as your body gets used to it.

I am following boot camp rules so won't be tracking how many carbs as such.

Well done 50! You know you said tea is 5g is that herbal teas like green tea strawberry and raspberry teas? I've been living off herbal teas but didn't know they were not carb free oh dear

Hi living no that's a mug of builders tea with full fat milk!
Peppermint tea is zero so I'm switching to that for half of them now.

Out on day trip today so not so good today, had a couple of doritos!!

Truvia is a blend of stevia and xylitol says zero calories and some websites say it doesn't spike your blood levels.

I tried to make cookies with coconut flour turned out soft like pancakes tasted horrible. I just want to eat something which has crunchy feeling and it was a fail. So now am just moody lol

Ive found almond flour to be a much better flour for baking than coconut flour tbh. I've made crackers, brownies and cakes which have all been v nice. You can also make lovely ice creams and 'fatbombs ' on this diet, which are like truffles! I use Splenda as a sweetener which works well. Also, Google fathead pizza, it's not bad...

This is a nice dessert, full fat Philadelphia with Splenda, cocoa powder and vanilla essence. You can also add a tablespoon of cream if you wish. Mix it up together and enjoy!

Aldi does good full fat cream cheese which is much cheaper than Philadelphia btw. They also sell milled flaxseeds which are good in crackers or to make chicken nuggets. I make chicken nuggets by cutting up chicken, dipping in beaten egg then dipping into a mix of milled flax seeds, sesame seeds, almond flour, garlic salt and paprika and then fry. It s v nice with home made garlic mayo!

It's so odd I'm not craving sweet treats since starting this but I'm sure that time will come!!! My biggest downfall is drinks, got dinner out Saturday but going to try behave myself!

I've just had a lovely salmon salad with creamy dressing and fill so full. Love this way of eating!
