I lost all my excess weight two years LCHFing. It's crept back on over the past year as ive reaching for the frackers, been, eating the kids chips etc. Carb creep and not tracking...means I'm 15lbs over where I like to be ☹️

So, I need to reboot.

I've started tracking today. My aim is to have less than thirty grams carbs a day...

I am armed with double cream, babybel and dark chocolate.

Anyone want to join me?

Thanks 50 for all the help and support xxxx

If you want to eat nuts, macadamia nuts are the lowest in carbs. The next Bootcamp thread will start in May so you might want to look out for that and come and join us! I started LC 3 Jan and lost 17lbs, got another 9 to go, it's such a good way to lose weight. 😀

50andgoingstrong · 04/04/2018 08:07

Thanks for the reminder Destiny my names on the boot camp list!

Hello, can I join in? I lost about 2 stone and felt better than I’d ever felt in my whole life in LCHF a couple of years ago. Fell off the wagon as I’m not always prepared enough to have low carb food at home!

Time to get back into it! I’m sick thinking about food/ feeling hungry all the time and I know this works if I can just get my head in the game.

I’ve been out for olives, rocket and chicken for lunch in work, and planning toast chicken with veg for dinner tonight! Double cream for the coffee also bought, that’s my favourite part!

50andgoingstrong · 04/04/2018 15:54

Hi Glitter and welcome 🙂 Love that expression: It's about getting your head in the game., so true!

Totally agree, when I'm not low carbing im constantly hungry.
I'm only a few days in and already lost the snack cravings! I'm just not hungry!

@Butterfly1975 you must get the two Rose Elliot low carb vegetarian books. I couldn't have done it without her. I've also got a low carb veggie book by Celia Brooks Brown. Definitely worth buying, but I find the Rose Elliot books have more straight forward recipes, which appeals to me.

AntiHop · 04/04/2018 23:05

@JumpingintoLCHF check if the coconut latte has sugar added. Many non-dairy milks have sugar added.

AntiHop · 04/04/2018 23:07

@Livinglifepeachy bananas are relatively high carb, for fruit.

Kleptronic · 05/04/2018 07:48

Here's a link to the spreadsheet from the last bootcamp, it has recipes, links, rules of thumb on veg/nuts etc. And if I remember rightly (on phone, spreadsheet and phone doesn't mix) how many litres per day of water according to body weight we should drink.

Don't edit the weights or the spreadsheet formulas! They're a record of how people did, and some will still be using it - it's a live document.

50andgoingstrong · 05/04/2018 11:04

Thanks for the link Kleptronic

I just bought coconut oil, have no idea how to use it in food.
It's made my nails nice!

Day 6 ✅ 28g net carbs

My hunger has gone. I actually have none. I'd forgotten, how strange it feels not to be looking for the next thing to eat all the time.

Day 7 ✅

Just back from a few days away and as I thought it all went horribly, horribly wrong Grin I'm dreading getting on those scales tomorrow morning!!

Feeling motivated from those doing so well on here though!

AntiHop - thanks for the Rose Elliott recommendation. I'll take a look at her veggie low carb cookbooks! Simple and easy sounds good to me Smile

Glitterkitten24 · 05/04/2018 20:14

Oh my goodness! I have discovered a new food and I may never eat anything else ever again!
I made Kale crisps tonight, tossed with oil and garlic salt and popped in a low oven for 30 minutes- I am in heaven. I don’t even like kale much in its original format.

I might have eaten the first batch straight off the baking tray using my fists, and have a second batch in the oven now! Easter Blush

Destinysdaughter · 05/04/2018 20:29

Kale crisps with garlic salt and chilli are delicious, they taste like the 'seaweed' you get in Chinese restaurants!

Glitterkitten24 · 05/04/2018 20:48

@destiny yes that’s exactly what it’s like, but without the brown sugar which makes you say no to too much seaweed! Devine!

50andgoingstrong · 06/04/2018 08:24

Kale crisps sound great, I'm going to make some this weekend!

So it's Day 8 for me, which is weigh day, I'm due my period I always put on a few lbs in the days before.

Got on the scale this morning and....
Drumroll....

Only a 4lb loss.!

So happy 😁 .

Well done 50!!! That's brilliant. I've just got my period so am really bloated despite losing 3lbs since Monday!

Can I ask what are people eating for lunch? I'm tending to just eat cold meats but getting bored!

I'm out tonight for drinks but going to try be good as I can!

Livinglifepeachy · 06/04/2018 16:04

Hi well done 50!! I feel awful it's day 4 I have lost 2kg and I am thirsty all the time and widdling every half hour. I feel nausea so haven't ate anything other than cheese strings just feel to sick to eat. 😭

50andgoingstrong · 06/04/2018 17:57

Keep drinking Peachy and make sure you're getting enough salt too.

Is it flu like symptoms? I had that earlier in the week. I felt really nauseous on Fricay too.

Hope it passes soon.

anna I had steak and salad today for lunch.
It's nearly 6 and I'm not hungry yet!
