I lost all my excess weight two years LCHFing. It's crept back on over the past year as ive reaching for the frackers, been, eating the kids chips etc. Carb creep and not tracking...means I'm 15lbs over where I like to be ☹️

So, I need to reboot.

I've started tracking today. My aim is to have less than thirty grams carbs a day...

I am armed with double cream, babybel and dark chocolate.

Anyone want to join me?

I had an ice lolly today which took me up to 60g carbs 😟
I keep slipping. This always happens after I've been low carbing for a while!

How do I keep the forward momentum?

I've still got 8lb I'd like to lose!

You are doing good Zoti, with all that activities, you should definitely be where you want soon. How do you resist climbing on the scales, though. Whenever I thought I ate something I shouldnt I check next day. Don't het me wromg, it fluctuate a lot, so does my motivation. But I am addicted, but only enter on mfp/ here on Sunday/Mon though.
50, it is so really hot, if you even step out of a building you need something form freezer to cool youndown. There isn't anything we could do 😀 I really get what you are saying, about the last 7-8lbs and motivation. I am really struggling too. Especially that I am going up and down 57.7kg for ages. Handholding, and may be we should push each other a bit more? Are you entering on MFP? I would like to have a friend there if you don't mind?
Also it took me by surprise, had my periods two weeks back, I was on Cerazzette since my yougest, that is 5 years ago. I don't think I ever had periods since. 😶🙈 and Again yesterday ( sorry tmi) , is this normal

Thanks, Linz. I know what you mean. Perhaps, I will weigh tomorrow as it is the end of the month and do so again at the end of July and see the marked changes ( I hope!).

Just finished Body Combat class at the gym - love it as it is a big calorie burner (500-700 cals depending on effort).

Had an omelette, spinach, and mushroom fried in coconut oil.
Keeping fingers crossed

Morning - can I join? I started lc last Monday and I've lost 5 pounds Grin did it last year and lost a stone so know it works but the thing I love is the no hunger. Although it's getting to the stage where I could happily skip meals which I guess is counter productive. It's such a weird feeling not constantly thinking about food, and I feel calmer/more balanced if that makes sense?

Hi iknow sounds like you've made a great start. You're welcome to join us. Lots of good advice on here and different experiences.

I've been low carbing since April and I've lost 11lbs. I lost enough so that I really enjoyed my beach holiday at half term. Since then I've only lost 1lb! I'm stalling a little but that often happens after a few months.

I have 8lb to go. I have good days most of the time, but do go off piste from time to time!

My overall feeling is it's so much better low carbing than not.

I also enjoy that feeling of no hunger. It's very freeing.

I’ve been doing this for three days. I’m surprised by how full I feel.

I’ve stuck to it apart from a few pieces of chocolate and a mini magnum Blush do the sweet cravings pass?

Is it really OK to eat so much fat? I’ve been so careful to avoid fat so it feels odd to eat large quantities of it.

I want to maintain my weight. I‘m 8st 7lbs. I used to have no problem keeping my weight down but got up to 10st 5lbs a few years ago and I really don’t want it to creep back up.

According to MFP, I’ve come in at 74g of carbs today which isn’t bad considering I had two G&Ts (with one can of tonic) and another magnum mini Blush

I’ve noticed my stomach is much flatter just in the few days I’ve been doing this. I have IBS and apparently low-carb diets are good for it.

Really having to plan in advance, though. Also, it’s not cheap doing this diet! A quick, cheap bowl of pasta isn’t an option. Struggling to know what to cook tomorrow night.

50, How are you doing? It is too hot not to eat icecreams :( and I gave in last week 2-3 times. I knew I jinxed it after my last update. An impromptu beach trip ( had two cones) and Saturday I had friends staying over. I had rice, though only a spoonful, after two months :O and BBQ on Sunday at a friends house, it was too hot outside so HAD to have ice cream in the end. on 57.4 kg as of today, (was 57.1 on Saturday) so only one more KG to go, two if I want to push it further. I am a bit hungry today probably coz of insulin spikes. Back on it from Yesterday.
My husband really would like to join me, but with his kidney stone history and hypertension I am not sure. recent blood test shows high Cholesterol too, not very high but still. He thinks all of this be normal on LCHF, but I don't want him going worse and our GP recommended low fat as usual. Anyone help guys? TiA x

Started blood sugar diet on Monday, so max 50g carbs and 800 calories a day for 8 weeks 😲.
I'm managing ok, not starving but feel really dry and have a headache. Am trying to drink loads and hopefully it'll pass soon...

If I've read it right, there's 3 stages 800 cal / day for up to 8 weeks, 5:2 800 cals or low carb Mediterranean diet.
Actually the 800 cals isn't difficult and I'm averaging 40g carbs a day. This is day 5 and i dont weigh myself but I feel thinner.
I'll see how far into the 8 weeks I get before I have to move to 5:2!

Op, may I please ask how you’re counting daily carbs? Is it just mfp or a specific carb counter?

May I join you? I need to lose about 20lbs to get to a healthy BMI. For my frame I could do with losing more, but 20lbs will do for starters.

@Linzdreamz - I recommend Halo Top & Whey Hey ice cream! Much less sugar and carbs and you can keep LC

also a lot of doctors are behind on their knowledge of diets so will caution against LCHF without knowing anything about it. I recommend you read up as much as you can and also read people's stories on the web about reserving high cholesterol on keto

Hi, can I join you? I've lost one and a half stone this year and have reached a 'normal' BMI Smile It's the first time in about 15 years that I'm not overweight.

I've stalled at around 60kg though and need the motivation to loose the final 8lbs. I've also massively reduced my high blood pressure and would love to get it a few points lower and stop having to take any medication (my prescription has been reduced gradually since March).

I've just had salad nicoise (with tuna, avocado and egg but no croutons) and a bullet-proof cocoa made with butter, coconut oil, cream, raw cocoa powder. Very yum!
