Sorry to hear you are still being plagued by migraines Kiwi

I am feeling rather content having just stirred a large dollop of philadelphia into 2 tbsps of left over bolognase sauce which was then dumped over cauliflower and a bit of cheese grated over the top (mostly to make it look like food)

Lunch was a salad. Just need to drink another half ltr or so of water before early bed and I have successfully have survived another day of full proper bootcamp. Even having gone to the extent of pouring a cup of coffee down the sink that someone kindly made for me but put sugar rather then a sweetner in.

Sooo this coconut oil thing? where have you been getting yours and what do i need to look out for?

BerylStreep · 26/06/2013 17:11

The coffee didn't stick to my mouth at all - it was lovely, like a very smooth latte.

Have done the survey. The only comment I would have is that the question which asks if you would be prepared to pay for things doesn't have an option of N/a if you wouldn't be interested in it in the first place, IYSWIM. So I answered that I would;t pay for things that actually, if someone wanted to go to them, probably would be happy to pay for.

BIWI · 26/06/2013 17:17

Thanks Beryl - that's an interesting comment. And shows up my poor questionnaire drafting skills Blush again

couch25cakes · 26/06/2013 18:21

Hello all, had a bit of a slip yesterday as was stricken down with terrible cramping stomach when we got in from school/work. All I wanted was toast, and I caved in. It did help my tum though.
Yesterday's food:
B-mushroom omelette
L- camenbert salad
D- chicken in a cream, mushroom and bacon sauce (and toast Blush)

Today's food
B- 2 slices bacon, chunk of cheddar
L- skin in chicken salad, mayo
D- pork chop curry and cauli rice

LilyAmaryllis · 26/06/2013 18:26

newstart you're doing brilliantly! I actually like the idea of your philadelphia-bolognese-cauliflower mix...

Already done survey

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 26/06/2013 18:37

Thank you all so much for your hugs, flowers & kind thoughts re my Dad. It means a lot x I'm sorry so many of you understand how I feel though :(

MaidofMuss I have a seat next to me on the Wagon - shall I super glue your butt to it? Grin

Beryl 2/3 of a cup of coffee, 2 Tbs of coconut oil and 4 of butter? Feck me... really?? It must have slid down!!

Rup how did you make your coffee??

maidofmuss · 26/06/2013 18:46

Grin chipping at supergluing my butt to wagon! So far so good today ? got some olives in in case I'm desperate for a snack later. tired though with carb flu. Def got to ride it out though!
BIWI - will do survey but was going to wait until next week in the hope of registering a better weight as am a llb up this week (!)
Do you need responses by a certain time?
new start ? sounds like you've done great today. Rather like the sound of yr dinner.

ToomuchIsBackOnBootcamp · 26/06/2013 18:49

Evening all, just checking in.

B 2 boiled eggs mashed with butter and black pepper
L leftover mince sauce on little gem leaves
S 2 teaspoons of coleslaw
D salad with oil, cucumber and a few small tomatoes. Asparagus tips with a little hollandaise sauce. Prawns pan fried in butter and oil then a little blob of mayo added.

Bit of a hotspotch for tea, using up bits and pieces, but it was very nice! Is it bad i licked the plate? Shock cos the oil, mayo and hollandaise had melted together into a little pool of yummy fatty lusciousness? Blush

Thank goodness shopping order coming tomorrow.

NewStartNewStory · 26/06/2013 19:14

I was rather lovely but tbh you have to get over the look of it. It wouldn't win any prizes for how appetising it looks HmmGrin

Just had film night with ds. he chomped away on some carb based watching film kinda foods and I ate two mini baby bells. All i want now is my bed early start tomo. Shame ds has another hour or so before lights out. Am currently trying to persuade him to go read in bed Hmm

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 26/06/2013 19:20

NewStart - I have quite a few meals that look like that Grin Taste bloody lovely though!!

How old is your DS? Film night on a Wednesday - that sounds good!

NewStartNewStory · 26/06/2013 19:29

Ds is 8 going on 15 Wink He isn't bad just a little highly strung as he likes to believe the version of bedtime his friends give him. Which as a parent I know is incorrect as the same child's mother said he couldn't do an activity which he wanted as it didn't start until after the child's bedtime. Film night was curling up on the bed watching Despicable me. I need me some minions!

BIWI · 26/06/2013 19:30

maidofmuss - no, no specific time (although I don't know how long MNHQ are going to leave it up for). Just grateful for you doing it at all!

Not one for crabby's food photo blog then NewStart Grin
My heap of celeriac, lamp chop and broccoli looked a bit of a sight, too ? ? but also lovely Grin
Ignoring thoughts of carbs. Am going to drink lots of herbal tea tonight to distract myself and have an earlyish night

maidofmuss · 26/06/2013 19:34

Glad to do survey BIWI ? this WOE and thread has been amazing Flowers and tho I've had a little blip, am going to carry on and hope I can lose at least a stone by the end (so 2-3 lb to go)..

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 26/06/2013 19:34

Tell DS he is very lucky to live at your house, if he lived at Aunty Chippy's he'd be in bed by 7.15, lights out at 7.45 (some chance of peace by 8!). I love kids - I also love them in their beds in the evenings! Grin Minions would, indeed, be very handy. I'd have one permanently assigned to kitchen duty!!

MoM - I have the superglue ready...

maidofmuss · 26/06/2013 19:38
Grin
NewStartNewStory · 26/06/2013 19:42

I was thinking laundry. I hate laundry. it is another endless task. Ds is quiet and reading, although i forgot to give him his sleep med so the sleep bit might be a bit hit and miss. Not so bad on sunny days when you have had to soak the mud off him when he gets in from school and thus obvious burnt off a lot of energy playing football on the field during breaks Grin

maid i am sure that there a lot of meals we are enjoying that crabby would struggle to make as lovely as the ones she puts in her blog. Grin

StuntNun · 26/06/2013 19:44

B: sausage, bacon, mushrooms fried in butter
L: field mushrooms brushed with butter and grilled then topped with pesto and a soupcon of Parmesan grated over
S: Greek yoghurt
D: courgette bolognese which was a bit weird in a nice but unexpected way

It's amazing how quickly the hunger pangs have died out. I must have been rushing from carb fix to caffeine fix to sugar fix all day long. I was in the shop yesterday looking at chocolate bars with mild disinterest although the fudge nearly lured me in. I had an epiphany today: I love crisps, they've been my go to snack for 30 years, I have been known to eat up to three packs a day. And yet I've been on this woe for 10 days now and I haven't missed them at all. It makes me wonder if I ever actually liked them or if I was just addicted to them.

An unofficial weigh in today puts me at half a stone off so far. A quarter of the way to my final goal. I'm sure it will be a long haul but I'm glad to have a rapid weight loss at the start, I'm confident I'll be able to comfortably wear my size 14 clothes when I go on holiday in twelve days.

ToomuchIsBackOnBootcamp · 26/06/2013 19:45

newstart going to see Despicable 2 is at the very top of the "summer holiday ideas of stuff to do" list!!! Can't wait! Ds is being dragged along as my excuse Grin

God I'd love some minions. Wouldn't that be fab? I have a list all ready...
