Hello! Our final weigh in at last! Thank you for joining @Oneborneverydecade and I for our first ever mini-Bootcamp. And big thanks to @ouchmyfeet for taking over Spreadsheet duties.

Speaking of... here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness on its final outing.

Normal service will be resumed next month by @BIWI for the run-up-to-Christmas Bootcamp. So no falling off the wagon stick with Bootcamp Light until the new Bootcamp starts. A sign up thread will be started in due course.

Never a truer word spoken @BIWI

I just wish I could reconcile my head and body Smile

Loved your Christmas navigation post, venus! Grin

I lost this thread for some reason!!
Some really inspiring and thought provoking posts on here.
I’m still maintaining and have reached my goal but fluctuate between 2lbs, which I’m v good with.

I’ve tried to experiment with upping my carbs to test how I feel after and any triggers and thus far, I have thoroughly enjoyed a few roast potatoes but was very conscious of not pili g my plate up with them and just savouring each one. That went well.

Then I had a small portion of rice with a Thais soup I made and although went well, I was more conscious of it than the potatoes as it’s something that you to go horribly wrong for me. I’d have more rice than proper food and that’s my trigger. I felt ok but think I will limit as I could easily see myself slipping back into gradually increasing that rice portion.
I’ve had a few grapes with cheese and made a dhal. Not all on same days but trying to be scientific about it. I think I can manage maintenance this was. I started in June and still very much enjoying it. Maintaining is my plan but I’m signed up for boot camp to make sure I stay no. Track with you lovely people leading up to the festivities.
Sorry for long post

BIWI · 08/10/2021 11:21

@Dellabob123 sounds to me like you're doing maintenance really well. Remember - your body weight will fluctuate on a daily basis quite naturally. You'll never just stick to your target day after day!

Jollyholibobs · 09/10/2021 17:13

Hi everyone been absent for a couple of week. I’d a stressful time with a relative with poor health staying. She was much worse than we thought and difficult to send her home again. (MIL with dementia and usual carer having respite holiday. Historically difficult relationship between her and me. DH not able to manage her and makes her worse by asking questions and offering choices, so for her sake I took time off work and looked after her) Whole thing very worrying and depressing. It’s a week since we took her home and I need to start looking after myself, my work and my health again. And stop worrying about something I cannot fix.

Looking forward to the new boot camp. Thanks @BIWI
I Have a lovely leather skirt for winter that could do with being a little less tight. Dare not step on the scales atm.

@FusionChefGeoff I just wish I could reconcile my head and body. Me too another overwater/binger here.

Jollyholibobs · 09/10/2021 17:20

And love the van @ditavonteesed!

Rayna37 · 10/10/2021 07:20

Just signed up to the Bootcamp, EXACTLY what I needed. A good 10lbs to go (think I'm running in parallel with FusionChef) and winter clothes to be comfortable in. Mostly been eating my son's 4th birthday cake of late but I've got a few new cookbooks to get into and hopefully more veggie things.

I did cook some epic rose veal steaks from M&S last night so expect that could become a new weekend treat.

Rayna37 · 10/10/2021 07:42

So just looked at my diary for the first two weeks of the next bootcamp... oh dear. A lunch out (provided set meal type thing I think), a music/set food/unlimited beer afternoon and a date night at one of the top newish restaurants in town. Balls.

All the more reason to be super strict with the stuff I can control!

Kerplunkk · 10/10/2021 11:41

Just signed up for new bootcamp , not been keeping up with these threads but am looking forward to getting back on track!

ZiggZagg · 10/10/2021 14:01

Me too @Kerplunkk , I'm feeling motivated, can't promise I won't disappear but I will never give up starting!!

It's been such a horrid year and food (see cakes, biscuits and bread) seems to be the only thing I have enjoyed Sad

Dr now thinks I have Fibromyalgia and I'm waiting to see a Consultant for a diagnosis and treatment plan etc but I have been reading up and clearly always come back to low carb being helpful in managing symptoms. Have also done 18minutes of yoga this morning, so hoping a combination may help me.

Also DH is way for 3 weeks so can totally control the kitchen! Grin

colouringindoors · 11/10/2021 14:22

thanks fusion stuntmum venus for all your support over the last few weeks with this.

While I haven't lost anything for a week (as slid off rules somewhat) and suspect prob gained a bit weight, I've not totally sabotaged and am signed up to bootcamp next week.

Much appreciated.

colouringindoors · 11/10/2021 14:23

9lb to loose 🙏🙏🙏

ditavonteesed · 12/10/2021 15:18

Looking forward to getting back on it. I've been maintaining for ages now and I'm creeping to the top of my allowed maintenance range so I want to get back to the bottom of it before Xmas.

BIWI · 12/10/2021 19:27

A quick post to say thank you very much to those of you who sponsored me in the September 'run 60 miles challenge'. Amazingly, it raised over £2m - the most that Cancer Research UK has ever raised in one, single challenge!

Kerplunkk · 12/10/2021 19:42

I misread that at first as you raising 2m singlehandedly, I was thinking blimey the power of mumsnet Grin

ditavonteesed · 13/10/2021 08:05

@BIWI well done. Amazing

Jollyholibobs · 13/10/2021 08:23

Well done @BIWI will you keep up the running?

I went back to the gym last night after six weeks off with a knee injury. Felt good to see other people, the social but is a big bit of the gym especially working from home. Will try a short run at the weekend and hope to get back into my old routine soon. Knee is ok just generally fat and unfit now. Looking forward to BC.

I actually raised 0.0002025 of that amount!

BIWI · 13/10/2021 09:49

Nope @Jollyholibobs. It has confirmed that running is not for me.

I can't say I haven't tried - I've done C25K three times, and now this challenge (although I did walk a lot as well as run - which was allowed).

I simply don't enjoy it, and I have never experienced that runner's high that so many talk about. I have no desire to do a run ever, ever again!

I'm just about to go back to full gym membership and do stuff at the gym instead.

FusionChefGeoff · 13/10/2021 23:35

@BIWI I think that makes it even more impressive. It's one of the reasons I don't ask for sponsorship for my races as I enjoy them too much it feels unfair! So I am very impressed you stuck with it even though it wasn't your thing - I'm no good at doing that at all!

@colouringindoors you're so welcome - I've received such incredible support on these threads I'm just touched to be included in someone else's roll call.

I'm not sure about officially joining the next bootcamp as although I'm sticking with LC for the foreseeable, I go away with work on 31st for 2 weeks and it's going to be desperately hard as so much of my time and food will be out of my control. I have various strategies (learnt from these threads!) and I'm also going to find it very hard to check in on the threads due to being very very fine poor.

My 4 days in Rome were glorious - I indulged massively on the pasta / gelato / bread and did pay for it. Nothing to be gained apart from negativity if I step on the scales so haven't bothered with that - but I felt pretty shocking too - nauseous, bloated, abdo pain and just heavy and full. So it was very easy to start with a massive long fast yesterday with just dinner and again today. I'm feeling better already!

Meal plan done and shop ordered today so should be easy for the next week at least. Prepped a huge vat of coleslaw, made more vinaigrette, boiled a dozen eggs and I'm ready!!

Meal out on Sunday for DD birthday but haven't had a naked burger for a while so that's usually available in most places.

Decided not to do the strict reset as that doesn't work psychologically - plus I think my distance running means I empty stores quite quickly anyway. So I'm on BC light but making sure I try to limit the 'light' to 1 thing per day rather than all the things, all the time Grin

FusionChefGeoff · 13/10/2021 23:55

Ps does anyone know why this thread now refuses to appear in my Threads Im on??

It's in Watching still... very odd

colouringindoors · 14/10/2021 22:02

Same for me!

venusandmars · 16/10/2021 22:35

me too. See you all on the new bootcamp

ZiggZagg · 17/10/2021 18:22

All prepped for tomorrow's bootcamp!

No naughty carbs are in my home!

Have even made a beautiful lime and chili infused olive oil dressing to drizzle over everything! And lots of water chilling in the fridge!
