Hello! Our final weigh in at last! Thank you for joining @Oneborneverydecade and I for our first ever mini-Bootcamp. And big thanks to @ouchmyfeet for taking over Spreadsheet duties.

Speaking of... here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness on its final outing.

Normal service will be resumed next month by @BIWI for the run-up-to-Christmas Bootcamp. So no falling off the wagon stick with Bootcamp Light until the new Bootcamp starts. A sign up thread will be started in due course.

@Snowpaw well done to both of you.
My DH has, tried this 6 weeks he was up and down lost 6lb in total for the 6 weeks.
He says he feels better so that's a good sign.
His work pattern is all over the place so finds it harder to stay on track.

colouringindoors · 14/09/2021 08:21

Morning all! Another pound down here which is satisfying! I am really going for it before I hit the stall... (only on day 9 here) Food plans today:

Now: tea with a dash of milk
11 o clock coffee with double cream
Lunch: m&s deli prawns with leafy salad and olive oil dressing
Dinner: something with the 6 meatballs i have left over from yesterdays dinner!
No snacks, but, if I stick to this, 2 sq 85% lindt after dinner 😊

Have a good day everyone.

venusandmars · 14/09/2021 08:26

Good to hear of everyone's progress, and the determination to keep on going.

I find the longer I do this the less I crave sugar. My hunger is so stable and snacking just doesn't really feature.

I think this morning we will have scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, and dinner will be Chinese style stir fried veg.

Jollyholibobs · 14/09/2021 08:27

Morning all.
Strict BC reset on day 2 here thanks to @FusionChefGeoff.
Today will be
B black coffee
L left over frittata and salad
D portobello pizza with homemade red cabbage coleslaw

@colouringindoors I’m in the same position as you but mine is more than 10 lbs.

@pinknsparkly so good to hear about your positive experience with BWRT. I am considering it for overeating. @StuntNun I am still interested in the BWRT did I miss the chance of a session with your recommended therapist? Could you pm me her details? Sorry if I missed the conclusion of this suggestion . I dropped off this thread for a couple of weeks as I was too busy overeating. Blush Grin

@Snowpaw it’s lovely to hear from new people with such a positive post. Welcome.

BestIsWest · 14/09/2021 10:11

BC reset here too.
Yesterday was chicken thighs with spinach for lunch and a chicken and chorizo and roasted veg one pan dish. And some Greek yog. And 3l water.
No idea what today will bring as we are on day 5 of redecorating and I am exhausted.

colouringindoors · 14/09/2021 11:00

What's BWRT?

StuntNun · 14/09/2021 12:33

Colouringindoors BWRT - Brain Working Recursive Therapy - uses visualisation techniques somewhat akin to self-hypnosis to install new thought patterns. It's used to treat things like phobias, stopping smoking, increasing self-confidence etc. The lady that treated me offered an online Zoom group session for five people at a cost of €40 each.

Hi everyone, I'd love to join in your chat. I started bootcamp yesterday. I've been here before, under a different username and lost more than 2 stones but I've struggled during the pandemic as I'm a stress eater (and drinker). I wasn't quite ready to begin when you started your mini camp, but I feel motivated this week. Day 2 and I've got a carb flu headache, so I'm adding Zero to my water and reminding myself that it will pass.

Yesterday:

Creamy coffee (this is be everyday as I am a long time IF-er, although am paying more attention to the timing of 16:8 as part of bc)
L - Ham, salami, olives, egg, gouda cheese, salad leaves, oily dressing
D - hm moussaka with salad leaves and oily dressing

Today:
pre-lunch snack as lunch was delayed and I was hungry (I know this too will pass) smoked salmon and boursin roll ups
L - leftover moussaka, salad leaves, cuke, marinated artichokes, tomatoes and olive antipasti from M&S. 3g of carbs per portion (90g) but I found it good for pepping up a salad.
not sure about dinner yet...

FusionChefGeoff · 14/09/2021 20:25

@Dellabob123 woo hoo to being basically at target that's amazing!!

@Snowpaw I'm jealous - I think I'd find this much easier practically if DH was doing it too. Mine needs to lose a lot of weight for health reasons really but seems oblivious Hmm. I have got him doing intermittent fasting occasionally but he still eats 3 meals and absolute crap within his window.

Great long run this morning.

L: chicken, tsatsiki salad with 1/4 of a 'mashed potato' squash with grated cheese
D: DH birthday so takeaway but gone Indian so have grilled tikka combo and a saag paneer so should all be on plan!

venusandmars · 14/09/2021 21:41

Amazing campervan dinner tonight, an Irish / Asian fusion: sliced onions, green beans, huspi cabbage, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots. With Irish seaweed pesto with ginger and garlic, plus some cooked chicken. Dh had rice with his. Incredible what you can do on a 2 ring burner.

And I've got some left over for lunch tomorrow tommorow. Dh will have a baguette or bread of some sort. I've got the better deal Smile

Jollyholibobs · 15/09/2021 08:04

Sounds delicious @venusandmars.

@FusionChefGeoff I am jealous of your long run. I’ve got a dodgy knee atm.

Photo of yesterday’s portobello pizzas

Have slept very badly. I hope it doesn’t make good food choices difficult today. May have had too much caffeine yesterday.

B black coffee
L avacado, blue Stilton and mayonnaise with red cabbage salad
D tofu curry with flgv

Feeling exhausted yesterday and today so have decided to have breakfast for a change - full fat greek yog and a small handful of blueberries - yum. Suspect I need to up my water too.

Bacon and eggs for lunch with a bit of leafy salad.

Not sure about dinner yet.

BestIsWest · 15/09/2021 16:41

More decorating today. Completely knackered now. I’m collapsed on the sofa with a very late lunch of some cold leftover salmon and some leaves trying to sum up the energy to lift the fork.
Undercoat tomorrow and gloss on Friday. Two staircases though so lots to do.

Pleaseandthankyou · 15/09/2021 20:06

I finished the 6 weeks one pound less than I started. Considering the carbs I consumed on holiday I am happy with that. Trying now to stick to bootcamp light rules. I will be following this thread for inspiration. I tried to clear my wardrobe out at the weekend. Threw nothing away. Everything fits. I am not going to be buying anything new for a while.

FusionChefGeoff · 15/09/2021 22:02

@Jollyholibobs that looks delicious!!

@colouringindoors if you're within the first 2 weeks blueberries are off limits and in fact Google says they're 14g per 100g which is the red zone I think (can't check spreadsheet) so best avoided.

@BestIsWest not surprised you're exhausted not eating until that time. Hope you sleep well and the results are worth it.

@Pleaseandthankyou that's kind of how I felt after a very extended holiday period.

Busy day here with an unexpected afternoon with the kids when I realised MIL who usually picks up and does tea on Weds was in fact on holiday! Made them a quick pack up and we went to our local cricket ground and then the park for ice cream.

I had leftover curry (tikka combo plus saag paneer) for lunch and then mackerel, courgette and avocado salad - although just realised the green beans I did for it are still in the fridge!! Will have those tomorrow then!!

DietStartsM0NDAY · 16/09/2021 10:55

Hi all!
Been catching up with the thread. I signed up at the beginning then totally lost the plot when my husband (works abroad) came home for 5 weeks over the summer Grin Been strict boot camp since last Sunday and back in the game now. Haven't weighed myself as I don't think I could have coped with what the scales said! Relying on my tight clothes to give me an idea for now.
Thanks for all the inspiration.

Dellabob123 · 16/09/2021 11:14

Eek - I had a day yesterday

Out all day at a show and was concerned about the usual event catering..however, I spied a Greek stand and they did the most amazing souvlaki with the biggest freshest salad and olives. I was so happy.
But, it was scorching and ended up having a few ciders and now my 2lbs that I shook off are back today.

Back on this AM with 2 baked eggs and salad for lunch. So very annoying!

TweenWrangler · 16/09/2021 12:50

@Pleaseandthankyou what a great result for your wardrobe!

Yesterday more leftover Moussaka for lunch, with additional vegetables from the canteen and hm Pad Thai (with extra beansprouts instead of noodles) for dinner. Was a bit low fat so had a decaf coffee with cream afterwards. I tried a new flavoured water from Aqua Libra which was really nice as a replacement for a glass of wine.

Today school lunch is a roast, so I'll have roast pork and vegetables, no potatoes and tonights plan is a salmon tray bake with ginger and garlic flavours.

Just about managed the water yesterday but I'm a bit behind today because I've been with visitors all morning and away from my desk.

Jollyholibobs · 16/09/2021 12:50

@Pleaseandthankyou that’s a great result. I’m always slightly conflicted when I do a wardrobe clear. Should I throw anything that doesn’t fit or retain for when I lose or gain weight. Currently own a few unworn too small items that I need to get back into as well. I have a shopping problem.

Keeping the focus today. In my stride with 16:8 now. Busy day with work ahead have some leave booked so need to clear the decks.

Food delivery tomorrow so today’s meals will involve fridge foraging.

BestIsWest · 16/09/2021 15:45

Mor decorating today and another late lunch ( tuna mayo with salad leaves). Didn’t have breakfast today either but several coffees with cream . Just the gloss to do tomorrow - we have three sets of bannisters with about 40 spindles, eight door frames plus skirtings and dado rail. It takes ages but then I have a whole week off work.

potas · 16/09/2021 19:16

Well I struggled a lot this summer. To many holidays and events. To much disruption to my diet led to a lot of bloating even though I stuck to low carb. However I feel the principles of the woe at least kept things under control and I'm mentally ready for the next bootcamp

colouringindoors · 16/09/2021 20:34

Fusion thanks for the heads up re blueberries!

I had a very good day foodwise yesterday, but then a bit of a shock in the evening drove me to wine and pringles 😱. Anyhow back on the wagon today. Salad with feta for lunch. Ham and mushroom omelette with leafy salad for dinner. Didn't weigh myself this morning after last night's mushap. Hoping that tomorrow I'll morning I'll be the same as I was yesterday morning!

Andi2020 · 16/09/2021 21:48

Bad day today are first bag of crisps since March. Got a plumber out to fix a leak and a radiator and now have no heating at all and he can't come back to Saturday and have to pay him more money. I'm so annoying wish I had never got leak fixed

Dellabob123 · 17/09/2021 08:49

I had a pretty decent day yesterday. Baked eggs, tuna Mayo salad and then out for dinner. I had an amazing me in chicken salad, extra salad, guacamole, and some bean thingy. Was yummy. I’m week 12 and trying to find my carb trigger points. The beans haven’t affected me nor did they make me crave more. Was quite happy.

Enjoy the sunny day everyoneSmile

colouringindoors · 17/09/2021 10:49

Hurrah scales said 11,4 like they did on Wednesday 😊.

Really, really want to get down to 10,7 in this "push" (was 11,12 two weeks ago). Would be first time under 11 stone in prob a couple of years.

For my height I should go down to 9,10 apparently but I'm not sure that's realistic for me. Haven't been that weight since before kids (17 yrs!!!) Also I would have zero cleavage and a Lot more wrinkles 😅.

If at 10,7 I can get into my size 12 trousers I haven't worn for a while, I'll be happy. My main challenge is Maintaining.
