Morning all!

here's the spreadsheet . If you haven't already seen it, check out the new info for veg/nuts/fruit that @AthelstaneTheUnready has added to it. Updated (and hopefully now the most accurate) data for all three categories, and all grouped into traffic light categories - green to eat freely (when allowed, in the case of nuts and fruit), amber to be more cautious about and red to avoid as much as possible.

If there's a particular ingredient that isn't on there, just let me know and I'll find the data for that and add it.

And now to week 4

A reminder that this week is also one where you're unlikely to see much loss - and possibly may see a gain. Just remember that THIS IS PERFECTLY NORMAL! Don't panic, but just KOKO and things should get moving again from next week.

Off to catch up with the end of last week's thread now. Hope everyone has an enjoyable bank holiday Monday Flowers

Sorry think I've spelt that wrong.

cheeseisthebest · 03/05/2021 15:56

Didn't have breadcrumbs though.
Was chicken with bacon the mozzarella and cheddar on top. What would that be?

Covid10lbs · 03/05/2021 15:58

Down 1lb, a great result for me. I don't want my mood tobe determined by my weight, but I am encouraged by seeing the number getting smaller. That's a 5.4lb loss in 3 weeks, which I can feel in my clothes.
I'm a little nervous about this week, as I'm working two 12hr shifts (as a vaccinator), and I've never worked long shifts. It's my first week, and I'm not sure what food options will be available.

Lovely to see you back cherries.
Best wishes to all.

Rshard · 03/05/2021 16:42

Late checking in today, I’ve stayed the same this week. Well done for the losses and the NSV’s.

Welcome back cherries, Flowers for you and all those who need them

BestIsWest · 03/05/2021 16:48

Loving the rhubarb suggestions. We have loads just coming in the garden.

Culinary disaster looming. I’m making Nigella’s chicken with 40 cloves of garlic which calls for 2 tablespoons of dry wine. It was all prepped, just needed the wine and I opened the fridge to find...no wine. I found some Zinfandel in the shed so have used that. Hope it works.

Stokey · 03/05/2021 16:50

@venusandmars it's not for high blood pressure, my BP is quite low. I have a chronic inner ear condition which causes vertigo attacks, and apparently a low salt diet helps. So consultant recommended less than 2mg a day. I've ordered some pink salt though which I think is meant to be ok, and am adding a bit which I normally wouldn't. I'll see how I go. If it sparks an attack, I may have to rethink the WOE.

Thanks for the links too @BIWI. I find it really interesting how everything is being rethought in terms of fat & salt.

B: Greek yoghurt
L: salad & burrata
White wine spritzer & handful of peanuts & olives this afternoon (naughty but drinks with new neighbours)
S: Roast chicken, celeriac, fennel & broccoli

ditavonteesed · 03/05/2021 16:54

1.4lbs down for me which I'm really pleased about as I started my period yesterday. After tonight I have no night shifts for a couple of weeks so want to really concentrate on getting some exercise in.
The renpho scales are amazing. Body fat isn't as high as I was expecting so I am really pleased with that.
Well done on the losses everyone and koko to those that haven't seen the victories they want.

ouchmyfeet · 03/05/2021 16:57

I have Renpho scales too, very pleased with them. The graphs are very satisfying although I am a bit alarmed at the amount of muscle I am apparently losing as well as fat.

The only time it has disappointed me is on my birthday, when it increased my metabolic age by 1 Angry

ilovecherries · 03/05/2021 17:09

You definitely CAN see a big difference, sealingwax. You look great.

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 03/05/2021 17:21

Well we went on holiday when I was a month into doing the C25K, and there were beautiful cycle/walking paths in the salt marshes round the village we were staying in, but I took a wrong turning and got lost! 🤣 I couldn’t run through the marshes, so had to just keep following the path back...I ran walked the last bit and then couldn’t walk for two days after! But I did it in 2.5 hours which is a very reasonable time. So decided I might as well train for a half marathon. I lost four toenails which rather put me off so I haven’t run since.

It’s time I did again though, as I know it will help the weight loss/WOE.

Chunkymonkey123 · 03/05/2021 17:22

Because of this thread I’ve just ordered some renpho scales too! Last time I did my body fat measurement it was awful!
I am mainly fat so although I’m in my ideal weight range I’m much bigger than my sister and friend who are 10pounds heavier but the same height. I think I need to do some weight lifting so I plan to go to a body pump class once the gyms reopen. I was doing Pilates in the first lock down so it would be good to prioritise that again.

I STS this morning but on Saturday I was a pound less so hoping that comes off again soon!

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 03/05/2021 17:22

(I tried to do a quote but it didn’t work - that reply was to @BIWI and @FusionChefGeoff about how on earth did I accidentally run a half marathon!)

Chunkymonkey123 · 03/05/2021 17:24

@ChoosandChipsandSealingWax that’s brilliant! 😂
Not as bad but when DS was a baby I tried to walk a short cut to my local park and managed to get lost and walked 6miles!! We were new to the area.

Tickledtrout · 03/05/2021 17:29

Having got all excited about the half stone loss on my Renpho scales I think mine are faulty. They fluctuate by as much as a stone depending on which tile floor they're onShock. Tried a 5 pound hand weight...4.2lb on the Renpho and 5 dead on my old scales. Will have to send them back to Amazon. If everyone else raves about them then maybe I'll get a replacement. Or something sensible from John LewisWink My old ones rely on blutac to hold the battery in place and it often falls out half way through calibration.

Moonswimmer · 03/05/2021 17:57

B: rhubarb
L: asparagus soup with chopped ham in
D: Vietnamese pork balls on oily salad

More water than yesterday. But possibly still not quite enough...

cheeseisthebest · 03/05/2021 18:14

Vietnamese pork balls sound nice

BIWI · 03/05/2021 18:55

Lots of scales won't work if they're on carpet - don't know where you were trying to use yours?

Tickledtrout · 03/05/2021 19:02

Every tiled room @BIWI. Sadly the scales that put me half a stone heavier were consistent in every roomConfused. At one stage the Renpho app asked me if I was the same person and told me I'd reached my goal loss of two stone loss. Hooray. Tried new batteries but just another incorrect reading. Bound to be the odd faulty one I guess. Just my luck.

Not feeling very hungry tonight so will going for some cold salmon from yesterday's BBQ, horseradish coleslaw and broccoli.

StuntNun · 03/05/2021 19:12

Is it Menieres @Stokey? That's a horrible thing to have.

B: None as 16:8.
L: Almond cheese muffin, two burgers with salad and coleslaw, small piece of cheddar, kefir.
D: Pork chop with steamed green beans and braised celery. Piece of Montezuma's dark chocolate with pistachio and cherry - the Montezuma dark bars are dangerous because they're the same amount of carbs as Green & Blacks 70% but so much nicer. I have the rest of the bar hidden away in a high cupboard so I won't be tempted. The Cherry Pie one is even nicer and slightly lower in carbs.

Andi2020 · 03/05/2021 19:33

@ZiggZagg thinking on you for 2m Flowers

@moonswimmer what way did you have rhubarb for breakfast got some tried a smoothie but it was too thick.
Would it be nice heated in greek yogurt

colouringindoors · 03/05/2021 19:39

Rhubarb people, add some orange rind when stewing. Delish.

Surely rhubarb isn't low carb though?!

Rayna37 · 03/05/2021 19:40

I'm thinking about Renpho scales too but after ChunkyMonkey's post thinking it'll give me a shock- your body composition sounds like mine, ok weight but all fat. I'm literally the opposite of when people are described as big boned!

DH has departed in the torrential rain and I'm tidying all traces of him away...

cheeseisthebest · 03/05/2021 19:55

Rayna I'm also very envious. To only cook for myself would be wonderful.

TheHoover · 03/05/2021 20:01

Quick check in - 1.5lbs down. Was expecting to STS so happy.
Have been doing BC with the addition of nuts / seeds and a few dropped breakfasts. Plan to continue that for this week.
