This Bootcamp has gone crazy! I'm very hopeful that means that the results on the scales/with the tape measure etc will have been positive.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I love this week. For so many, it's a total vindication as well as complete reassurance that this WOE really works!

I hope, very much, that the scales are kind to you and look forward to hearing everyone's progress.

No need to restrict portions - this isn't a WOE about deprivation. But make sure you eat only to satiation. Don't overfill your plate!

Hallo! 2ibs off which I am amazed by given that I have just finished week 3.

Am walking 10 000 steps a day and I think that might be helping.

Had lovely steak and rocket salad and lc fish pie over the weekend.

Howdidthathappen1 · 25/01/2021 14:41

Wow 4lbs down despite an accidental bowl of rice noodles!! So happy!
Weird eating atm as doing emergency dog care at dds house and can't leave house as he has extreme separation anxiety so I'm literally raiding her very bare cupboards!
B. 2 burgers with cheddar on top
L. Celeriac chips with cheese
I've already eaten dinner out of sheer boredom which was a lush fish pie with cauli mash. So now I'm screwed but at least she has no bread or in fact much food let alone carbs in. May have the other 2 burgers if I get desperate!

nowlook · 25/01/2021 14:43

Sounds lovely @Almahart. I'm going to brave a cerviche this week. Got my fish, salt, lime, chilli, shallots and avocado. I've never made it before (and never ordered it because I didn't know what it was Blush), so we'll see!

Margaritawithlime · 25/01/2021 14:45

Oh @nowlook that’s one of my favourite things. Let us know how it goes

LostaraYil · 25/01/2021 15:14

Well done on all the losses!
Like a few others I'm on week 3 and have basically STS, but that's to be expected.

Today's plan:
L: veg soup, chicken leg
Snack: cucumber and celery sticks with cream cheese
D: big mushroom with cheese, salad

ListenLinda · 25/01/2021 15:30

Don’t think I ate enough at lunch, just wandered into the kitchen for a snack and havent had to do that for a few days!

Oneborneverydecade · 25/01/2021 15:37

I've just been to the shop for rocky Road ingredients and a celeriac. I've also never eaten celeriac before, is the mash recipe on the spreadsheet please?

I also caved and ordered the low carb bread. I swear if enough people mentioned sawdust as a tasty treat I'd probably buy it right now. Baa

Oneborneverydecade · 25/01/2021 15:43

Found it

ShagMeRiggins · 25/01/2021 15:51
@ShagMeRiggins I do own a mooncup, I should probably use it to feel the benefit Grin
Yup!! Hard to get the benefit of something we don’t use.

@potas

I did the bootcamp last autumn and really struggled. Although I lost a few pounds my weight was very up and down. Restarted on the first of January and the difference is amazing. I think this time I am much more strict and have cut down on diet coke aswell (I didnt realise sweeteners were to be avoided last time). I've also done a 16/8 fast to stop me snacking on the wrong foods for breakfast. Now think of it as an early lunch. When people spoke about not feeling hungry and about how sometimes the weight loss stops but just keep on keeping on and it will suddenly drop I just couldn't relate before but that's where I am at the moment. So my advice for anyone is be strict and keep being strict and it will work and be worth it!
Afternoon everyone and well done - some brilliant losses. I am very happy with a 2lb loss this week ( this is my second Bootcamp so no big whoosh expected!) I am astounded that what felt like an impossible amount of weight to lose is now only one stone away 🙌🙌🙌 I love all the new starters saying ' it really works ' after stepping on the scales - I still feel like that most weeks.

To those who haven't lost just revisit the rules and then keep the faith it will happen.

Midlifemission · 25/01/2021 16:09

Durr sorry I meant to say the post from @Potas really rang true for me ! You have to be in the right headspace but then it's incredibly liberating not being hungry and thinking about food constantly !
Glad it's working for you this time.

@nowlook

Is there a German word for wanting to be properly snowed-in on account of having an unusually well-stocked pantry? Or hoping a neighbour will pop round in desperation because they're missing an ingredient?

"Total long shot, nowlook, but don't suppose you have any coriander?"

(after faux pondering) "No problem. Fresh or frozen? And are you ok for radishes?"

BIWI, if you’re ever gathering testimonials for the Bootcamp Book I’m sure you’re destined to write, this one from Midlifemission is a good place to start.

Ooh, get you with your German...

ShagMeRiggins · 25/01/2021 16:22

Ooh, get me with my bold fail...

Dailyhandtowelwash · 25/01/2021 16:23

Love the German!

AthelstaneTheUnready · 25/01/2021 16:26

I'm trying to learn for my climbing holiday of a lifetime in the Alps. I keep getting distracted away from anything remotely functional, into "why the grumpy face?", "nice shoes!", or "I have a lot of food in" phrases instead Blush

AthelstaneTheUnready · 25/01/2021 16:28

not perpetuating insane english abroad stereotypes AT ALL

nowlook · 25/01/2021 16:39

Ha! Fab, thanks @AthelstaneTheUnready. One of my clients is a German firm- I'll be able to dazzle them now Wink Normally, they just get me to pronounce "squirrel" and wet themselbsts Grin

Dailyhandtowelwash · 25/01/2021 16:41

I've been trying to learn German for ages - I start off with a language app and go great guns, and then let it slip.

nowlook · 25/01/2021 16:45

How are you learning, btw? Have you tried Slow German? I wouldn't survive on holiday these days, but, usefully, can hold my own in a discussion about spring water boreholes Confused

AthelstaneTheUnready · 25/01/2021 16:48

Signed up to (free) Transparent Language word/phrases each day. Expect the accent is shocking, but I like the randomness.

Margaritawithlime · 25/01/2021 16:54

Decided on a salmon burrito bowl for dinner as dh was leaning that way.
Made the most delicious guacamole and pico de gallo to go with it. I had mine with lettuce and jalapeños and some soured cream. Lush! I didn’t miss the rice that everyone else had at all. That’s a first. Normally any diet I do has me having a very heavy case of the FOMOs but meh. Not bothered by it at the moment. Long may it last.
