This Bootcamp has gone crazy! I'm very hopeful that means that the results on the scales/with the tape measure etc will have been positive.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I love this week. For so many, it's a total vindication as well as complete reassurance that this WOE really works!

I hope, very much, that the scales are kind to you and look forward to hearing everyone's progress.

Electrolytes, nowlook. If you’re still thirsty, add some salt into the water or even the tea. You can always get Zero tablets as recommended, but when I’m feeling thirsty I tend to make a bouillon from Knorr Rich Beef cubes. I have one almost every afternoon. But I lurve me some salt.

Wink
nowlook · 28/01/2021 20:17

Thanks Shag

I have low-level hypochondria (the sort that doesn't go to the doctors because, what's the point, it's terminal) so I'd got diabetes by 3pm.

prettybird · 28/01/2021 20:20

But fucking spiders, those really are top drawer norks

Dh thinks so too Wink - and for some reason, isn't as keen as me for them to reduce in size as I reduce weight Hmm what is it with blokes and boobs? ConfusedGrin

AthelstaneTheUnready · 28/01/2021 20:25

And a shout out to whoever recommended a twist of salt in black coffee - utterly blown my mind. It works. Not sure about black tea though @nowlook, perhaps you could brave one for the team tomorrow? Halo

ListenLinda · 28/01/2021 20:28

Just short of four litres down today. I usually have my last bottle around my evening meal, I think i’m going to have to move it earlier as i’m up atleast twice for the loo before i drop off to sleep l!

"Most of all, I'm just a bit tired of all the suffocating misery in the news."

Me too. God, me too. I'm sitting huddled under a blanket, trying not to cry and wishing I could just go to sleep and not wake up till it's all back to normal.

nowlook · 28/01/2021 20:31

I'll try anything once @AthelstaneTheUnready

If I'm really bored, I'll post a photo in the outfit I would have worn to my cousin's wedding last April (and which has shrunk in the wardrobe)

nowlook · 28/01/2021 20:34

...I can barely get in the hat

ZiggZagg · 28/01/2021 20:41

Good evening everyone!

L was tuna in sunflower oil, mayo and cheese on slcr
D was cod in butter sauce, FLGV with blobs of garlic butter and grated cheese

@prettybird nice knockers!! Grin

venusandmars · 28/01/2021 20:45

plumstone I always try to eat a little bit (except for fasting periods) because otherwise I find I get unexpectedly hungry later, and dive towards a biscuit, rather then eating something sensible at the proper time.

Grin Grin Grin at the shag / prettybird love

Food today:
B - a long walk followed by coffee with cream
L - avocado salad
D - cod mornay, with broccoli, green beans, cabbage. I made the cheese sauce using BIWI's easy recipe - amazing and the squeeze of lemon juice made all the difference. Great tip.

Best thing is that there are some left over veg, and some left over sauce, so they are in the fridge waiting for the right indulgent moment to be eaten.

I'm looking after my dgc tomorrow, so lunch is already made - ham hough soup with swede and a bit of carrot; then sausage and kidney casserole with green veg, and some pasta for dgc.

Tonight dh obviously fancied a glass of wine with his fish, and poured me a glass too. I took a couple of sips, but discovered that I didn't really want it. I'm drinking peppermint tea, and my glass of wine is back in the fridge. This is almost unheard of Shock

B -

Justcallmecaptainobvious · 28/01/2021 20:46

How long is it before we all post a photo to get Shag’s stamp of approval? Grin

Still here, still content! DH is so over the moon with how tasty the “diet” food is, he’s not noticed that I’ve switched us to the smaller plates and am slowly starting to reduce the portion sizes...

Tomorrow’s plan:
B - eggs, spinach, mushrooms
L - salad with fried halloumi
D - fajita bowls

This morning was the first time in months I can recall waking up and not having a headache! Definitely feeing generally healthier. We watched Fat Fiction last night, which was a good motivator.

Bestbees · 28/01/2021 20:51

@AthelstaneTheUnready I think the salt in coffee might have been me. Its delicious isn't it. I believe it effects the viscosity too hence its extra yumminess.

After fasting was starving for lunch but I could have not delayed dinner later. I am really focusing on upping fat so think that's why. Can really recommend morrisonsthe best greek yoghurt, absolutely delicious!

@venusandmars putting back wine?!? Goodness I hope that happens to me!

I got given a massive bar of chocolate today and I was able to easily pop it in a cupboard for DH. No desire to eat it at all!

Then please have a big smooch from me because it has made ALL the difference to the rubbish instant I make mid-morning when everything's busy and fretful.

@AthelstaneTheUnready

Solidarity to all those feeling miserable. I did virtual parents evening tonight and I was so bloody pleased to see their faces! Raised my spirits but I am reflecting on the future for these young uns.

Massive swede arrived last night. Some destined for swede and leek mash and some for that swede gratin thing someone posted.

BrassicaBabe · 28/01/2021 21:26

Sorry for those feeling low. We all know exactly how you feel. Step away from the news. It'll happen whether you read about it or not.

I've just bought myself a 250ml glass wine carafe in planning for the end of Dry January. Hoping i can use it as a tool to help me moderate.

In other news...my chicken skin has arrived!! No time to do anything with it today so it's in the fridge. Will have a go tomorrow and will report back!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 28/01/2021 21:33

Thank you Athelstane.

1WayOrAnother2 · 28/01/2021 22:41

@Ratherchillyinhere

I sometimes have a cheese sandwich. That's slices of cheddar with butter in between...

I often have a marmite sandwich which looks pretty similar to that - 2 slices of cheese with marmite in between.

I might try your version later!

Beat marmite into the butter before spreading between the cheese slices?
nowlook · 28/01/2021 22:49

Has anyone seen/used the recipes on this Greek keto site?

www.greekgoesketo.com/keto-phyllo-dough/

www.greekgoesketo.com/pastitsio-new/

Pastitsio! Spanikopita!

ChristMyArse · 28/01/2021 23:15

Just checking in for accountability!!

Will go back and read posts.

B - none as got stuck on a call all morning, had a creamy coffee though
L - celery, courgette, gammon, mushroom, eggs, cream and cheese in a quiche like concoction.
D - same as lunch plus cheesey cauliflower

I had a brew tonight with cream as was desperate for a cup of tea (it's been 28 days). Revelation. Kinda wish I hadn't found it - will have to be very careful!

Think I've had too much cream and cheese possibly.. we shall see!!

MrsOmelette · 29/01/2021 06:00

Morning all, will catch up later - had to work last night unexpectedly so behind with stuff now. So tired. Anyways, B - green pepper egg muffins, L - chicken & vegetable soup D - heck sausages, neeps & broccoli.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 29/01/2021 07:19

Am I missing something with the salt in black coffee thing? Trying it now and can't taste any difference. How much was I supposed to add?

MrsOmelette · 29/01/2021 07:28

NSV - just realised I have to tighten my bra big style, think I’ve lost all the weight from my chest. Definitely not complaining 😆.
