Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for its weekly outing.

Don't forget to check out all the different resources on the spreadsheet - it's a huge mine of information.

We are now past the half way point - so only 5 more weeks to go until we get to Christmas! Shock

But that means there's still time to lose a good chunk of weight, if we all knuckle down and get on with it.

Flowers to us all!

:(

I love shirt dresses and I can never find any that fit me.

MrsKoala · 21/11/2020 12:35

I was planning on wearing it as a day tot day dress with the kids etc. It’s lovely thick stretchy denim. After the extremely helpful discussion with Shagme earlier in the week I thought it time I wore more dresses and things which made me feel happier than just the mumiform of jeans and jumpers.

ToastCosILoveIt · 21/11/2020 13:10

Did I miss the @ShagMeRiggins sartorial meet up?

prettybird · 21/11/2020 13:27

There were 3 events scheduled because of numbers/availability. The 3rd of 3 is tomorrow night. Despite all my plentiful free time, I managed to have something on for all 3 (sorry @ShagMeRiggins - I don't think tomorrow night will be feasible ).

I'm sure if you PM Shag @ToastCosILoveIt you really must change that name Wink with your email address, she can send you the link to the Zoom call. Having participated in the one earlier this summer, I can vouch for how good they are - even more so if you do the homework/preparatory work which I didn't Blush

BIWI · 21/11/2020 13:34

... and you get to put faces to names Grin

I can highly recommend it if you're free to join tomorrow's session (assuming there's a space available?)

I hit the jackpot on the specials board Grin Lunch was pan-fried chicken breast in tarragon and cream sauce with broccoli, cauliflower, swede and carrots all cooked in butter and about two spoonfuls of pea risotto (which I did not manage to resist). Don't care if I stay the same this week, that was worth it!

Not just faces Shock I think I showed a bit too much MrsKoala Grin
ShagMeRiggins · 21/11/2020 15:58

Not just faces Grin

MrsKoala I’ll email you and have something to add about the dress.

prettybird you’re not the k lay one who couldn’t make any of the three sessions and I’m addressing that by possibly adding a fourth (and final).

Toast (the shop, not the food, I know* I’ll be in touch.

Today has unexpectedly turned into a cooking day. Husband away most of next week and I don’t want to cook for me or The Hormoaners so am putting together a load of soups and salads to just grab or heat so I don’t hear the “what’s breakfast?” “What’s dinner?” a billion times.

So ‘batch cooking’ chicken soup, mushroom soup, butternut squash soup pls Greek salad, beetroot & cherry tomato salad (lush, but not on the cards for me at the moment), plus a ton of tuna mayo.

And you just watch—all the gorgeous low carb stuff will be the first to be invaded by the Carb Eating Army!!!

ZiggaZiggArrgggghhhh · 21/11/2020 17:02

@ShagMeRiggins argh I missed the email, just replied Grin

I've just had the most amazing Aubergine "Pizza"

Sliced Aubergine laid on a baking tray, I used baking paper, brush with Olive Oil and sprinkle with Salt and bake at 180 for 20mins. For the topping I cooked chicken pieces in olive oil with 2 diced shallots, half a red chilli and 2 cloves of garlic. When done I added a tablespoon of Tomato Paste and a splash of water. Topped the Aubergine with the Chicken mix and then covered in cheddar. Popped back in the oven for 20 mins. Delicious Smile

itsmeagainagain · 21/11/2020 17:09

@ShagMeRiggins I didn’t get the email! 😞

Lyrata · 21/11/2020 19:12

Quick question - do teas and coffee count towards liquid goals?

ShagMeRiggins · 21/11/2020 19:48

PSA I’ve finished cooking and now going to finetoothcomb PMs, replies, and sent emails. Mwah!

ShagMeRiggins · 21/11/2020 19:49

Nope—hang on—look tomorrow at midday. The evening has now been handed over to family time. Sorry. Still, mwah!

prettybird · 21/11/2020 20:00

I've just managed to make a batch of tablet and not try any - not even the "soft ball" test ShockHalo

I have a celeriac dauphinoise in the oven which I'm going to have after Strictly with a griddled lamb steak and buttered strips of courgette Smile

Can I ask what time and if there's spaces? DP is playing golf in the morning. I was going to go to the gym when he got back but I'd prefer to join the zoom instead.

What!? They don’t need you like we do! Wink
BuffyTheBuffetSlayer · 21/11/2020 20:25

It's been a crazy day today trying to entertain 2 toddlers who were just having a bad day?!? So was late before I got to eat my 1st meal.

B. Nothing, fasting as usual
L. Cheese and onion omelette
D. Haven't had it yet. Was going to have vegetables roasted with boneless chicken thighs and nando's sauce and cauli rice but DD has only just settled down for the night so itll be something quick now!

prettybird · 21/11/2020 21:25

I can do tomorrow at midday SmileSmileSmileSmile

ShagMeRiggins · 21/11/2020 21:35

Sorry! I was unclear.

The 3rd scheduled Zoom is tomorrow 8pm. What I meant by midday was for those who have been in touch or haven’t received a link or confirmation email, please give me until midday Sunday to get back to you.

For the rest who are interested or couldn’t make other tones, I will schedule a fourth Zoom.

Hope this makes sense.

I don’t want to overload tomorrow evening because you each deserve attention and time.

Takingontheundead · 21/11/2020 21:36

Dinner... think I might weigh in not this monday but next.

Pre-Christmas Low Carb Bootcamp - week 6 already!
prettybird · 21/11/2020 22:10

Ah - I got confused. I hope that I can make a 4th session (and time except Tuesday morning Wink). But if I can't, the first one back in early summer was really helpful, so I hope will inspire others Smile

NigellaAwesome · 21/11/2020 23:01

I can testify that Shag is incredibly talented and knowledgeable. As a graduate of Wednesday's zoom, I can confirm I wore the dress I bought for my 50th on both Thursday and Friday this week.

It was also great to meet some fellow BCampers. Thanks for all you have done Shag.

sheepysheep · 21/11/2020 23:01

Argh I’ve just found your email in spam (how rude of hotmail to put you in there shag). I can’t join tomorrow so if there is a fourth one I’d really like to join. Thanks

ShagMeRiggins · 21/11/2020 23:15

PSA You’re all lovey and I will get back via PM and email and now please let me stop the derail! Blush

Tonight’s dinner was a Fend for Yourself, and I drank gallons of water and ate mountains of veg, plus some crab. Yum yum yum.

Lyrata · 22/11/2020 07:24

After my disappointing STS last week, I have lost 3 pounds this week. Thank you to everyone who told me this would happen and that I should just be patient! You were right.

I’m now 10 stone 2 and so close to seeing a 9 at the front. It may well be a slightly artificial low because I did a quasi-egg fast yesterday (one creamy coffee, three eggs with butter, and two tiny bowls of cauliflower soup with truffle oil because I got hungry) but I doubt that could account for all of it.

Very pleased. Although the biggest success is just being happy with my body again (I say this when I’ve lost weight, when I stay the same, the biggest success is the number on the horrid scales).
