Morning all.

Sorry if you're chomping at the bit to announce your loss this morning!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some great losses already posted, so well done.

But don't despair if you haven't lost as much as others. Remember, this isn't a competition. We're all here with different startpoints, and everyone loses at a different rate anyway.

PS I always feel like to be the sort of person who drink green tea you must also wear pristine lounge wear and have effortlessly dishevelled up-do hair.

Jdhshekr · 24/10/2020 17:19

Oh, oh, and BOB people who can’t see how it can possibly work - a lot of years ago I was very smugly wearing a 36C safe in the knowledge that it was 100% my correct bra size. Until I read an article about how bras should fit. I took myself to bravissimo and came out a 32F. Once I had that one on I could suddenly see how badly the 36C fitted but it wasn’t obvious until I tried on my real size.

StuntNun · 24/10/2020 18:05

Oneborn bra cup sizes vary with back size. So the cups on a 34C are the same as a 32D. So saying someone is a "double D cup" looking at you Lara Croft is irrelevant unless you know their back size too.

Jdhshekr if you're hungry, eat, and don't worry about it. Trust your body.

Lyrata · 24/10/2020 18:05

Mimosa1 I cook up to the point at which you’d normally chuck it in the oven. I actually buy these (not very eco-friendly...) oven-safe aluminium sort of take-away dishes (cartons? Trays?) and then fill those with the roasted aubergine and stove-cooked mince. I then top with cheese, freeze, and then when I’m ready I put the whole thing in the oven. Zero washing up when eating also increases my fondness for the practice....

I find it tastes as good as it would if it were cooked on the day. I do tend to cook/roast any vegetables quite thoroughly though to ensure they won’t release any water when baked.

GorgeousGoldies · 24/10/2020 19:03

Back from holiday - food a disaster, but have finally managed to make my special fitted bra work by squishing the side and back fat into the cup 😂 Baggy cups be gone! Is that classed as a NSV? Thanks for the advice anyway,

Totally back on it LCHF-wise and have nearly shifted the gain - phew!

StuntNun · 24/10/2020 19:07

An excellent food day today, I'm extremely satisfied with my WoE!
B: none as I routinely fast 16:8 and occasionally extended fast up to 90 hours so far!
L: three slices of back bacon and two eggs fried in butter, homemade kefir, sauerkraut and a little unpasteurised cheese because of the weird high nutrition diet I'm on
D: roast pouissin with boiled green beans and mushrooms fried in butter.
BURP!

prettybird · 24/10/2020 19:19

My supper tonight was two Lidl sausages (can't remember the carb count but they're nice and low) with shoogled sprouts (finishing the bag I started last night mine, all mine Grin)

Now getting ready to watch Strictly, with my Strictly BitchPod Facebook group. It's a nice bit of normality resuming in three strange times: my wee disparate group of BitchPodders lighten up Saturday and Sunday nights with their witty repartee, bitchy (but also constructive Wink) comments and our weekly speculation and Shock on What The Fuck Tess And Claudia Will Be Wearing Grin (aka WTFWTACBW Wink).

How exactly does one shoogle sprouts? I feel I am missing out.

IncurablyCurious · 24/10/2020 19:28

Just popping on to say hello; feeling so much better and really settled in to the flow of things. Think I’ve got to mix it up a bit next week, starting to feel a bit like I’m repeating the same old same old, but I am armed with my long list of suggestions from this thread, so feeling reasonably prepared Smile

Also really got the hang of the water now, and my skin is so happy with me. Definite upside!

AthelstaneTheUndeady · 24/10/2020 19:31

I'm dishevelled, so that's all fine then.

Dinner tonight will be some greek yoghurt, as my appetite and stomach have gone haywire today

I'm feeling really fussy and tantrumy - what I WANT is some Rannoch smoked duck slices. Or nothing. Sigh.

SuperbGorgonzola · 24/10/2020 19:33

@prettybird

Just to motivate people - 3 years ago I went from 14st 13lb to 11st 13lb in 6 months, from May to December (over two Boot Camps. That included a bit of falling off the wagon between the 1st and 2nd Boot Camps Blush

Following Christmas I got down to 11st 2lb and then last Christmas (having gone a bit AWOL and had got back up to c12st 11lb) I got down to 11st 6lb (although I preceded official Boot Camp with an Egg Fast).

So yes, I've been up and down a bit - usually down to emotional eating - but I've never gone back any near to where I was 3 years ago. Smile

Sorry to be a weirdo but I remember you from 2017/18 as I was on those threads too under an old name. You got me onto the buttery brussels! Grin I've since graduated to buttery brussels with marmite. I'm glad to see it's still working for you.

I was there last time for baby number one and I'm here following baby number two. I struggled to stick to LCHF when I went back to work; lack of packed lunch inspiration and too many office biscuits but I've got a month left of maternity leave left and I'd like to make a better go of it.

I lost some baby weight low carbing through May and June but I've crept back up since then and my jeans are too tight. Time to refocus!

StuntNun · 24/10/2020 19:35

Jdhshekr I'm of the impression that shoogling involves sort of shaking but so that the sprouts roll around in the butter to coat them.

Anotherducker · 24/10/2020 19:38

@Mimosa1 I made the beef burger pie this week. I left it to cool in the tin, sliced it and the portions held together really nicely. I ate it cold all week with salad and gerkins.

prettybird · 24/10/2020 20:01

Indeed: shoogling just means shaking. Done half way through the microwave process it helps ensure even cooking.

prettybird · 24/10/2020 20:25

SuperbGorgonzola - awwww, that's sweet Smile

I'll need to try the marmite in with my shoogled sprouts.

Lyrata · 24/10/2020 20:52

Today has been a weird day for food!

Breakfast was a coffee with double cream, and I then instead of actually eating lunch I went and bought some beef for tomorrow’s lunch.

Dinner was a weird mix of chicken and mushrooms. I am frightened of consuming a carb in case my scales aren’t friendly tomorrow (I am a Sunday weigher).

Mimosa1 · 24/10/2020 21:19

Thanks @Lyrata and @Anotherducker ! I shall be cooking tomorrow and giving it a go.

Just popping on to say the roast radishes are a revelation!!! I quartered them which I think was I mistake, halving them would have been better. I needed to having them with a curry, and smothered in sauce they were like a slightly crunch, non starchy potato. Highly recommended and thanks to the PP who suggested it!

Jdhshekr · 24/10/2020 21:28

Thank you for instructions - I will shoogle tomorrow.

VeryLittleOwl · 24/10/2020 21:40

DH was looking quite enviously at this, even though he had pizza, especially once I'd sprinkled the top with grated cheese! I didn't realise the peppers were on the red list for veg until I checked out of curiousity two minutes ago, so I shall consider myself mildly prodded with the Big Stick and not eat too many (I know green peppers are okay, sadly they go STRAIGHT through me!), but as a Saturday night treat this tasted far better than takeaway :) Hard to believe it's diet food sometimes!

Week 2 - Pre-Christmas Low Carb Bootcamp - the first weigh-in!
prettybird · 24/10/2020 21:40

Bummer: I forgot to put radishes on to my list Sad

But I did also do a Sainsbury's shop (weekly shop is in Lidl) so was able to get a celeriac. Albeit that it cost £1.40 for a tiddly wee one Hmm

Radishes are better value Grin

EarlGreyHot · 24/10/2020 21:40

Argh just lost my post when my phone battery died!

Tonight's dinner was great - chicken "doner", keto tabbouleh and garlic sauce, served it with grated cheese and hot sauce. It was very tasty and ticked all the boxes for a weekend meal.

Portion sizes state for 4 but I cooked the amount stated and it just did the 2 of us here and that's with me using 2 bags of Iceland cauliflower rice in the tabbouleh recipe.

sheepysheep · 24/10/2020 23:40

Properly back into LCHF now and feeling great but bloody hell I feel so hungry today! Think I must be a bear underneath and the weather is making me want to go on some kind of pre-hibernation feeding frenzy...

Whogivesatossedpancake · 25/10/2020 00:05

I've only heard of 'shoogling' in a Christopher Brookmyre novel - Scottish..(A big boy did it and ran away - if you're interested). A fine writer indeed... - Im English btw
