Leaving Lockdown Low Carb Bootcamp - week 6

Morning all

So here we are in the new, unexpected second half of Bootcamp!

Spreadsheet is here

Hopefully everyone should be in the swing of things now, and also hopefully we've left the doldrums of weeks 3 & 4 behind us, so should be seeing steady losses.

If things aren't going the right way for you, have a good, hard look at what you've been eating and drinking. Make sure you haven't allowed carb creep - and also that you're following the rules!

If you've moved on to Bootcamp Light, make sure that you're keeping an eye on the amount of fruit or nuts/seeds and alcohol that you're allowing. Remember - always in moderation!

Here's to a good week for us all Flowers

@Choux 😄👋

BIWI · 05/07/2020 21:46

@Choux - glad to hear it! You enter your weight in the spreadsheet. Just be aware that if you're using the mobile app, you might need to download the Google Sheets app to be able to access the spreadsheet.

Your nails look fab nowlook, very healthy and strong. Definitely use the word mardy - very local to our county I think.

Well done choux

Mardy! Such a midlands term !!! I sometimes say to my DH ‘Are you in a mard’ and he looks all confused!!!

Rubbish day today. Infact rubbish weekend for moderation. Too many nuts, too much dairy, too much vino. Although I had a lovely time with my neighbours this eve having an impromptu barby. And wine.
No “wrong” foods as such but too many of the moderation things in one go!

61lb - wow!

I'm really confused about the rules now.

(NOT the bootcamp ones - those are engraved on my remaining spare-tyre) Are we allowed to hug people again?

I so want to comfort my Mum at the moment... but is it safe?

The funeral is including people from Scotland and England - so no-one seems at all clear on what is or will be allowed. The guest list has suddenly been extended due to most recent changes. (Which is good.)

On kale - as you might imagine from my lunch posts, I like it best oiled, salted and baked in the oven till crispy... then served with garlic mayo (and without friends as a whole pack can vanish in no time.)

I am literally going through bags of the stuff a week, i love garlicky crispy kale!! My staple green. . Official weigh in this morn.. down another 1lb so looking at the app i weighed sunday and Tuesday last week so depending on which i take that's 4 or 4 lbs this week making a nice round 20lbs!

I am mainly focused on stone brackets, i have 6 lbs to go to break into the 13s now, but my scales weigh me in lbs and i noticed I'm just 2lbs away from no longer being in the 200s!!

I really feel like I'm gonna go all the way this time. I'm so motivated by how kind the scales are being right now. I feel like that elusive 2st weight loss mark i never reach is actually going to happen.

Isn't it weird that this WOE is overriding my contraceptive and forcing periods and yet any other time a period would have really messed with the scales but it isn't now? Its very odd, watching my body react to this WOE.

3 or 4lbs down this week*

devoncreamtea · 06/07/2020 07:14

I’m 0.2 down today but Was a pound less all last week - so def fault of under moderating this weekend!
Must get my water in this week too!

devoncreamtea · 06/07/2020 08:08

Fantastic Taking! Flowers
Remember when you were so frustrated by the scales?! I’m so pleased your efforts are paying off! Inspiring for all newcomers! (And old comers, frankly!!)

Morning all!

Teeny bit disappointed that I'm less than 2lb down from last week (I was remembering my weight from 2 weeks ago so thought I'd lost more this week!) BUT I know I'm only 5 or so lb from target weight and I can expect weight loss to be pretty gradual at this stage (and also, I know the weight I am now is ok - before anyone starts thinking I'm all disordered about this - I just want to fit into my old clothes again).

Because I'm only really starting week 3 of my current streak: am I right that many of you saw almost no weight loss in weeks 3 and 4, and then it started again in week 5? I have one more week and then we're going to the seaside and I really don't think I can resist the call of the ice cream parlour all week! But then the week after that will probably be the first week of IVF stimulation again so maybe I will have to...

Oops sorry posted in wrong week!

OneFootintheRave · 06/07/2020 12:38

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to the latecomers.

I have had a static week with the scales. No huge cheating, just a bottle of red wine this weekend and a very few carby treats. Not a lot, like a half of a mini bite sized pork pie, about 4 Doritos, one small can of beer (did not enjoy and will not be doing that again) a few squares of 90% cocoa organic chocolate and the worst, about 10 tiny, home-made cinnamon cookies. I did a load of walking and swimming as well though but hey! I guess my carb tolerance is not so high and I am back on the wagon for the week now.

Oh, I had a couple of Campari sodas too, might choose one or the other next weekend, Campari soda OR wine, NOT both!
