Low Carb Bootcamp Léger! Notre quatre semaine est ici!

BIWI · 15/06/2020 07:33

It's Monday! So soon! Wink

Morning all.

Ici, c'est le début de notre quatre semaine du Bootcamp. C'est léger est pas ordinaire.

... which means we can relax things slightly.

Some fruit is allowed in moderation - mainly berries. Nuts and seeds in moderation, and alcohol very much in moderation.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness if you need to, check the rules for Bootcamp Light on the tabs there.

If you're happy on 'ordinary' Bootcamp, then by all means continue. If you were finding intermittent fasting was helping you, then you could also consider trying to extend the length of time you've been fasting - so if you were managing 12:12, try working up to 16:8. If you were managing 16:8, see how much long you can extend that for. Just don't let it go so long that you get too hungry and are tempted to cheat.

Alternatively, you could do a hybrid, so strict Bootcamp during the week and Bootcamp Light at the weekend.

We only have two weeks left of this Bootcamp, so let's get/keep focused, and see what we can do!

Thank you both. X

Fuck I'm bored. Tired and bored. Wine would fix this problem! Although apparently wine doesn't fix boredom. Wine masks boredom. HmmBut I wouldn't feel bored would I. Apparently great creativity comes from boredom Hmm

Sat between a bit of a bike ride and going to bed. I think the bed option is edging ahead.

I am in no way going to get fundamentalist about this. I'm definitely not heading to t-total status. But this isn the thingy I'm following Shag

Almahart · 19/06/2020 20:57

Still feeling super munchy but had an okay day

Bacon and avocado at 11
Cheese and spring onion
Cauliflower cheese and two skinny sausages
Some black decaf coffee and one with almond milk

Interesting chat about alcohol. I haven't had a glass of white wine for ten days which is massive for me, I was drinking lots, every night. I started by drinking diet tonic but now an happy with water with lots of ice and lemon. It's as if a switch has gone in my head

Hopeislost · 19/06/2020 22:08

@BrassicaBabe I hear you. This woe is making me realise how much of the time I eat when I am not hungry. I am tired and bored but I am not physically hungry. For now, I'm going to bed so that I don't eat anything.

Ragwort · 19/06/2020 23:53

I know I eat out of habit and boredom and/or because I just fancy something nice. I never get really 'hungry' ( in fact I am not sure I even know what hunger feels like Blush).

Today was an odd day of eating, for various, complicated reasons I didn't want to take another packed lunch to work so I had breakfast at 7.30 (chipolatas & scrambled eggs), black coffee and water all day and then chilli (without beans), salad, sour cream & cheese at 6.30pm. I feel absolutely fine but will try to get back to 16:8 tomorrow.

🥳🍾🥳🍾🥳 Brassica !! Brilliant!
I an also celebrating another pound off, hoping next week to ger into the next stone ( a bit more than nine though!)

Laska2Meryls · 20/06/2020 07:13

Greek style lamb chops last night with salad. Have woken up hungrybut the boosr of another lb down making 10 I think now is really motivating. I shall keep up the 16:8.
No alcohol since the start of this which is the longest Ive been for some time ... although I was so tempted by the good red wine DH opened last night to go with the lamb.. but I know that I would not stop at one glass.

I did have a seedlip and zero tonic though

Ifeelfat · 20/06/2020 07:59

Brassica really well done, it feels so good to see the numbers go down!
I haven’t been nine something since I was about six though. I’m aiming to get to 14 something at the moment, with my ultimate target around a 12.
It’s all relative though. Well done again!

SparklesAllOver · 20/06/2020 08:14

Good morning, all! Checking in and wanted to tell you about the delicious supper I had last night. Really fancied mash, so chopped and boiled a huge celeriac, saved half of the chunks to see if they would make good roasties, then mashed the rest with butter and some cheddar, then mixed in some chopped spring onions. Had a spinach salad with it, really tasty and filling and this morning down 8 ounces - woohoo!

Laska2Meryls · 20/06/2020 08:18

I did go down on my knees to beg for a bootcamp extension BIWI but I see you are unmoved .

Im which case when is the next one ? Iam going to keep this up but the thought of the big stick is definitely keeping me in line !

Also the community ...and reading about how everyone else is doing

prettybird · 20/06/2020 08:30

Laska - plenty of us stay on here for ongoing chat and support and are willing to yield the Big Stick! Grin

I for one will be continuing onwards and downwards. Smile

In good news I was 11st 10lb this morning. Why is that such good news? Because I don't do my exercises (DVD and c5km run) at the weekend) which usually drops at least another pound from my "first thing" weigh-in Wink, so in my head that means I've now achieved my "into the 11st 9s" objective that I'd set myself for this Boot Camp! Grin

NigellaAwesome · 20/06/2020 08:52

Fab news @BrassicaBabe!!!

Laska2Meryls · 20/06/2020 08:52

Yes I will also prettybird . I've started a few bootcamps over the last couple of year but I ve had a lot of other stuff going on also and this is the first time that I have been in the right headspace to really go for it..

Rshard · 20/06/2020 08:53

Aww brassica, that’s brilliant!

I’ll be hanging around after this bootcamp officially ends laska, feel really in the zone so don’t want to lose momentum.

The sun is out here again which is lovely after all the rain.

BIWI · 20/06/2020 08:56

Did somebody say NINE?!

Really well done @BrassicaBabe Flowers

Smile BIWI, 👍

Almahart · 20/06/2020 09:06

I'll definitely keep going - started late so am absolutely up for it

Freetodowhatiwant · 20/06/2020 09:16

That celeriac mash sounds fabulous Sparkles. I will have to try that.

Wow Prettybird well done on achieving your bootcamp goal! That’s brilliant. Go celebrate with a nice glass of water…
I too fancy an extension and am pleased to notice the spread sheets, as BIWI says, go up to 20th July…just in case we all fancy sticking around. I am finding it really helpful to have people on the same path as me.

Brassica well done! AND I am joining you in the SEEING A NINE this morning. Although I have to convert it from Kilos I enjoy typing it into google (no don’t be silly, I can’t be bothered to work out the maths) and see what is it is stone. Then I do pounds as well.

BUT I had my weekly glass and a bit of red last night (I bought a mini bottle from M&S so that's a glass and a half?) so it might just be that. I had it last night instead of tonight as previously I have had it on Saturday night and I thought if I have it on Friday it will give me two full days of good eating before the weigh in on Monday.

Here’s hoping my 9.something sticks around.

Black coffee so far this morning. I actually ate quite late last night so my fasting window started at 8pm rather than the usual 7pm. It actually felt much better during the evening, I didn't get that empty feeling I often have, so maybe that suits me more. I can happily go to midday without eating now.

prettybird · 20/06/2020 09:30

Fantastic Brassica ThanksStarThanksStar

greengoose21b · 20/06/2020 09:49

Great news @brassica and hooray for the 20th July extension @biwi.

Given the week 3/4 flatlining scales, I definitely feel the need for another few weeks to make progress and really embed this woe back into my life, rather than getting disaffected and hitting the sourdough rye.

Mummyoflittledragon · 20/06/2020 10:25

Morning just checking back in. Have had a terrible few days. Dd is being cyber bullied. The children spun me being ill (I’m chronically ill and disabled ) to me having a highly infectious illness and dd needing to stay away from an organised play date today (ie coronavirus). Even children, who dd and I have know for years and know I’m ill. Unfortunately it happened when dd was around another friend’s house and no one told me so it quickly snowballed. I contacted the parents I know but this didn’t stop it. Cue victim blaming messages and searching dd out on a gaming platform to create “beef” 🙄. I’m now in the process of notifying the school. I have agreed a plan with dd for the future so I can quickly intervene btw.

Anyway I haven’t been registering the hunger warnings as I’m so upset. So I needed instant foods due to health. Ate the same ready made meal both days - 64g carbs. Then in my other meal, there were the carbs in a small / medium carrot yesterday. The day before I had a few berries plus 3 toffees (18g carbs). On the plus side, I managed 16/8, which has been difficult this week. I was too ill Monday / Tuesday as when I have low energy, my body screams for food, predominantly carbs as they’re immediately available.

Today I’ve calmed down enough to plan my eating needs better. Bootcamp light is my way forward atm as I can eat a little 90% chocolate and limited berries. I haven’t managed to stop my sugar craving but I have to be realistic about what I am able to achieve with my level of health.

venusandmars · 20/06/2020 10:28

I'm on a 2 day meditation training this weekend. Will be very zen by Sunday evening.

Food today - avocado, boiled egg, ham, salad
D - salmon, Mediterranean veg, spinach

devoncreamtea · 20/06/2020 10:36

Well done Brassica ! Flowers
And Laska for another pound!
Brilliant 🙂

The scales did that thing of flashing onto the 50’s before settling on the usual 160 this morning! So I am hopefully of a 159 on Monday.

I had some wine last night and definitely caused me to snack! Had peanuts.
Today the plan is
B scrambled egg avo bacon
L ?!?
D chicken thighs, salad (from allotment!) broccoli and garlic mayo.
Potato wedges for kids.

I am considering having a week off dairy to see if that might help speed things up. I don’t think I have masses but do have milk in tea, cheese and cream pretty regularly.
