Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet

So we've got through the pesky weeks 3 and 4. Hopefully, if things have slowed or stopped for you, things will get going once more. Don't expect big losses each week though - losses will be around 1-2, possibly 3lbs each week (depending on how much you have to lose). But rest assured that each of those pounds will be fat.

And this is what a pound of fat looks like!

Hope you all have a good week Flowers

Thanks all!

Today:

B: creamy coffee

L: tomato soup that’s more cheese cheese and cream than tomato BlushGrin

D: slow cooker belly pork (finished in the oven) with buttery veg and gravy (there’s half a bramlely apple in the slow cooker with the pork which will end up in the gravy, but it’s half between 2 of us)

Loving the progress photos. I have a family photo taken at my nephew's wedding a few years ago. I had a really nice dress but when I went to put it on for the wedding it was way too tight round the waist, so I had to get some scissors and cut it up both sides. In the photo, not only do I look chubby, round and matronly, I also look hot and bothered because despite the warm day I had to wear my cardigan the whole time to hide the 'alterations'. I hate the photo but need to keep it until we can get the family together and get a replacement one taken. It serves as a reminder...

B - butter coffee
L - scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms
D - roast chicken, broccoli, spinach

Nonononon · 13/11/2019 10:07

Food today.

L: will be some egg, shallot, cheese and bacon muffins i made in the muffin maker last night (so thankful I have that and my slow cooker to cook in saying as how I don't own a microwave..) and salad.
D: left over chicken and bacon stew from yesterday with some pork and courgette meat balls and FLGV.

KondoKonvert · 13/11/2019 11:18

Morning all!

I'm a couple of lbs up today but trying to remind myself I've not eaten enough calories for it to be a proper weight gain! Will KOKO and keep up the water too.

Had a lovely breakfast in a local cafe. I told them I was low carbing so they made me a big pile of scrambled eggs with bacon and mushrooms and cream in my coffee.

Lunch will be leftover veggie curry (if I can fit it in) and dinner will be low carb moussaka.

SittingontheSidelines · 13/11/2019 12:07

Early lunch was left over veg, (cauliflower, broccoli, dark greens) warmed in the microwave with garlic pepper, butter and a dollop of philedelphia.

I'm having a lattee made with almond milk while I write this.

Dinner will be the rest of last nights beef casserole with a fresh FLGV.

Twit · 13/11/2019 12:16

Hi all!
Today another pound has been flushed down the loo. I'm not sure it's really how it works, but I like the idea that all that water is flushing out some fat each time I go.
So that's 10lbs off so far...Grin
I'm carrying on being really strict and careful, just to try and limit any gain as I'm nearing my period...although normally I'd have been gaining by now. So fingers crossed it won't happen or, at least be too bad.
Today.
B: egg & tea
Lunch: bullet proof coffee (decaff) 2 low carb sausages and a very few (6, yes i counted 😬) nuts.
Tea: roast chicken, courgette and spinach. (All with butter.)
3 litres of water will be drunk, I'm 1 litre down so far.

VeryLittleOwl · 13/11/2019 12:20

Loving all the progress photos!

Lunch today is Tesco broccoli and stilton soup (just sneaks in at 4.9g per 100) and supper is chicken wrapped in bacon with FLGV.

Tell me, is sitting here eating a Boursin directly out of the foil with a teaspoon the low carb equivalent of doing the same thing with a jar of Nutella?

prettybird · 13/11/2019 12:32

It is VeryLittleOwl Grin

I've done the same with Boursin - and Ardennes pâté and clotted cream..... Blush not at the same time Wink

absopugginglutely · 13/11/2019 13:18

Checking in...
B: 1 rolito and a cream coffee 1 litre water
L: Beef Bolognese with green salad 1 litre water
D: will be same as lunch!
Just about to go to a cafe and am going to take my own cream in a small Tupperware 🤣 as I know they don’t serve it!

I want to try and have all my water before 3pm because I hate waking up all night.

Shitty morning:
I’ve had such a stressful day because DD tantrumed around two different supermarkets, screamed all the way home, when I got back from food shopping I stupidly put a full carrier bag of food on the hot hob and it melted plastic into the food and filled the air up with plastic fumes, I dropped a bowl of tuna sweetcorn on the floor and in the flurry trod it into the kitchen floor.
DD still wailing and saying her ears hurt.
I cleared the kitchen, put food away, washed up, put DD in front of the TV for a bit —3 hours— and cooked the Bolognese, forgoing her ballet class and managed to get some other de-cluttering done.
I’m starting the day again now.

LittleSwede · 13/11/2019 13:34

Loving all the photos, very inspirational.

verylittleowl, I do the same with Saint Agur, or in fact any blue cheese.

Also having a shit day/days absopugginglutely DD having spectacular meltdowns after school due to her ASD needs not being met. I even got bitten on Saturday. before this WOE this would have meant lots of comfort eating for me but I'm not feeling the need. Might have had a vodka with slimline tonic, or three, at the weekend though.

LittleSwede · 13/11/2019 13:36

Food for today:

B - omelette with blue cheese and veg.
L - second half of breakfast omelette.
D - Cauliflower and bacon cheesy bake, of some sort

absopugginglutely · 13/11/2019 16:37

@LittleSwede exactly the same here DSD (12) has PDA ASD and it’s the same I have been ‘eating on’ the stress of her constant anxiety for a few years now and it’s quite liberating choosing a different response!
Flowers

LittleSwede · 13/11/2019 17:11

absopugginglutely I suspect DD has some PDA traits too, it's exhausting isn't it! She's a terrible sleeper too so have been turning to snacking to survive the day. I'm quite amazed I'm not feeling the need now. Also seem to cope slightly better with the lack of decent sleep too. FlowersWine to you too (dry white of course)

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 13/11/2019 17:14

Shitty day here too. No movement on scales, appear to be an inch wider than last week by the tape measure (but not by my skirt), two teen DC failed to get up and made it to school with seconds to spare, DS2 failed to tidy up after he cooked last night so the kitchen was like a bombsite this morning, homeschooled DS3 is having a flap about homework, organisation and his short term memory (all dyspraxia / ASD related), I've forgotten to defrost the chicken for tea and DH is stuck in London because the Underground is buggered. The only bonus is that DD's ASD meltdowns have pretty much stopped since we got her out of mainstream school and onto online learning. The total lack of people / noise/ smells / fuss is bliss for her.

So, I've been a bit of a carby twat this afternoon - a coffee with cream instead of coconut milk and half a bar of G&B's 70% dark chocolate.

Off to drink more water now, in penance.

LittleSwede · 13/11/2019 17:24

IWillWearTheGreenWillow that sounds like a tough day indeed, hope it gets better. At least it was 70% chocolate and not milk chocolate.

Rayna37 · 13/11/2019 19:35

B: 2 scrambled eggs
Snack of cheese
L: tuna mayo salad, Greek yogurt
D: salmon, spring greens and leek, all with butter.
Half of one of the small Aldi 85% bars after dinner and I confess to also eating the last chocolate biscuit in the box at work. I've done very well not having any there for a month!

Off to the gym now, not a fan of going late but it means I see DS and also there's a nice unwind yoga class at 20.30 I can do after a session on the cross trainer that's more stretch and snooze really.

Doilooklikeatourist · 13/11/2019 20:56

@IWillWearTheGreenWillow
Feel exhausted just reading that !

Brunch 3 scrambled buttery eggs
D salmon fillet , roast cauliflower , leeks , spinach and mushrooms with creamy sauce ( made with butter and double cream )
2 glasses of Malbec ( warmed up by the log burner as it’s perishing cold here )

Exitstrategist · 14/11/2019 06:36

I have broken under the 11 stone barrier and hit a healthy BMI! I am so pleased. Just being doing this WOE for three weeks. I have an 8 week old baby and I am breastfeeding so have been doing Bootcamp Lite. Lighter now than when I got pregnant. Thank you everyone for the support here. I don’t comment much but read everything. Next target- half stone off before Christmas. KOKO!

ShagMeRiggins · 14/11/2019 07:58

That’s wonderful, Exitstrategist!

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 14/11/2019 08:05

Brilliant news, ExitStrategist! Well done.

Sorry for yesterday's tantrum. Didn't eat enough, which didn't help. Today will be better. I think giving up dairy altogether may have been too much of a tipping point this early on, with all the other things I've had to give up.

Food today:
B: coffee with cream, greek yoghurt and berries.
1.5l water
L: cold chicken wrapped in bacon, green salad dressed in oil.
1.5l water
D: low carb sausages, FLGV in butter.

I'm only needing to snack now if I deliberately restrict what I'm eating, which is not the point, is it? I've got over the fat-is-bad brainwashing, but am having trouble letting go of the being-hungry-on-a-diet-is-virtuous thing.

BIWI · 14/11/2019 08:37

I am completely off the wagon!
We’ve taken our very good friends here to celebrate a 60th birthday. We're in Holly. Fantastic food last night and just about to go down for a full English.
Has been absolutely worth it though 😁

BIWI · 14/11/2019 08:40

@IWillWearTheGreenWillow this WOE (way of eating) is not about deprivation! Low carbing will naturally suppress your appetite, so there’s no need to snack in between meals. And when it’s meal time, eat till you’re satisfied. That’s not carte blanche to pile your plate high or stuff your face though!

DownUdderer · 14/11/2019 08:44

I’ve had a good eating day today. I’m trying my best to get lots of water. I’ve walked 16k steps today and I’m out for a hike tomorrow. I’m so so so close to getting the healthy BMI. I can’t wait to get there! My end goal is one stone away and I’m feeling like I can achieve it, I felt very unsure when I was still one stone heavier than I am now. Just feeling the possibility of reaching my goal is amazing.

venusandmars · 14/11/2019 09:51

BIWI the menus look amazing. Although I find that kind of dining is normally high on protein, a few dots of veg, sauces made with cream and butter rather than flour, and actually very few carbs except for a smear of potato and some delicious bread, and a couple of desserts, and possibly some drinks

Well I seem to have put on 4 pounds Angry. I've actually got a sore tummy so I'm wondering what I've been eating that's upsetting my digestion. It might be the coffee, since I'm usually very low on caffeine, so no more butter coffee for me for a while. Back to basics:
B - avocado, olive oil, seasoning
L - egg mayonnaise, big salad
D - sausages, kale stir fry, broccoli, buttered leeks

Water....

LittleSwede · 14/11/2019 12:25

Food for today:

B omelette with blue cheese and veg
L chicken thighs with buttery cauliflower and broccoli
D probably a courgette moussaka thing
