Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet

So we've got through the pesky weeks 3 and 4. Hopefully, if things have slowed or stopped for you, things will get going once more. Don't expect big losses each week though - losses will be around 1-2, possibly 3lbs each week (depending on how much you have to lose). But rest assured that each of those pounds will be fat.

And this is what a pound of fat looks like!

Hope you all have a good week Flowers

im short on time so I’ve added my weights to a new row right at the bottom of the sheet, of someone with access could just add my name that would be wonderful.

ShagMeRiggins · 12/11/2019 13:38

@AthelstaneTheUnready, please will you see PCOSCanPissOFF‘s post above?

I tried to add her on her line but for some reason am View Only now. Thanks!

ShagMeRiggins · 12/11/2019 13:57

Re intermittent fasting, I’m not sure I specifically aim for that but rarely have breakfast. I will have tea or coffee with almond milk, again not sure if that breaks the fast or not, and loads of water.

I have my best energy in the mornings these days, which is unusual for me historically. Today I had clients in all morning so am—as usual—hugely energised yet happily knackered, but not hungry.

Lunch will probably be tuna in oil mixed with mayonnaise (DeLouis is a favourite as it’s lower carb and more interestingly flavourful). I often add a few chopped cornichon and either shallots or red onions, sometimes water chestnuts, sometimes celery. Plopped on top of masses of raw spinach leaves, and sometimes flavoured again with fat in the form of homemade vinaigrette. So fat, flavour, and satisfying crunch.

Dinner will be seasoned cod cooked in butter and loads of kale, chopped cauliflower, maybe spinach if any left, maybe asparagus or broccoli, all fried in salted butter, the kind with crystals in it.

Butter and salt are my life, basically. Plus animal skin and fat cuts of meat (apologies to the vegetarians). I haven’t purchased lean mince in ages, 15-20% for me, thanks very much.

Trying to eat less red meat, more fish and chicken/pork, and could do with ramping up my vegetables. I do hate peeling and chopping.

But one thing my diet isn’t lacking in is healthy fats, and—again—I am rarely hungry.

venusandmars · 12/11/2019 15:29

I like this courgette recipe I miss out the butter beans, or give them all to dh, and I make my dukkah with crushed hazelnuts.

venusandmars · 12/11/2019 16:08

Been away with work although one of my colleagues is also low carb which makes it easier (and has other colleagues a bit Shock at what we eat, ignoring the plate of biscuits at coffee time, heaps of butter on everything...

Dinner last night was cod with mussels and cream sauce and loads of veg.
B - spinach and Feta Omlette. I tried to persuade the hotel staff to make butter coffee, but they stared at me like I was a mad woman and said they couldn't do it.
L - ham hock topped with slow cooked duck egg; steak with mushrooms, green beans in garlic butter, broccoli sautéed with hazelnuts
D - will be back at home, probably a boiled egg.

Only challenge was the cocktails before dinner, most are so sickly sweet. I went for a white lady which has gin, cointreau, lemon juice, egg white. Then stuck to champagne Grin

venusandmars · 12/11/2019 16:11

Back tae auld claes 'n' porridge tomorrow, or in my house intermittent fasting, butter eggs, cream, flgv

Nonononon · 12/11/2019 16:48

New waist picture.. from week1 to today.
If I was brave enough I'd post the whole picture but I'm not so you'll all just have to make do with just this Grin

I'm really feeling good now. Can't wait to see where I'll be by the end of boot camp.
Ive actually got a pair of lovely trousers that I bought ages ago and could barely get them over my thighs, now i can pull them up but cant button them (without fearing for the safety of the button..) i took a picture of me with them on last week and heres hoping I'll have them on and buttoned by the end of BC.
I'm 7.5lbs down now and we're almost half way through so I'd imagine I'll keep up the same rate of loss and get a full stone off by the end of this. I never did get a big woosh at the beginning, it's only been a steady 1-2lb loss each week (well apart from the 3lb in week 2) so I see no reason why I wouldn't keep that up.
I wanted to lose 1.5st in total so I'm just going to keep going till I get to goal anyway Smile

stayathomegardener · 12/11/2019 16:59

Wow @Nonononon officially a poster girl for this WOE!

PCOSCanPissOFF · 12/11/2019 17:09

Nonononon that’s incredible!

LittleSwede · 12/11/2019 17:26

Wow Nononon! That is amazing!

Nonononon · 12/11/2019 17:30

Awww thanks everyone BlushGrin

ShagMeRiggins · 12/11/2019 19:02

It really does look great. And only just more than a month on this WOE. Sorry you had a shut day, but you have a smoking hot waist.

LittleSwede · 12/11/2019 19:04

Small NSV victory here in that my lovely colleague told me that my weight loss is very noticeable now. My two favourite T-shirts from this summer, which have now been relegated to 'pyjamas', have gone from straight fit to oversized and slipping off the shoulder.

Rayna37 · 12/11/2019 19:09

Lots of fabulous NSVs here!

B: 2 eggs scrambled with butter
Snack of nuts
L: 2 eggs, Cheshire cheese and tomato all chopped up in mayo on spinach and cucumber with olive oil.
D: just me so enjoyed 4 rashers streaky bacon, shallot, Brussels and spring greens sautéed together with garlic and butter, and Parmesan.

PCOSCanPissOFF · 12/11/2019 19:28

UUUUUURGH

I had to have my photo taken at work today for a press release and I felt bloody awful.

I made my peace with my weight a few years ago but bloody hell BlushSad

I should be mega excited, the press release is for a recognisably good thing I did that’s industry news worthy, it’s a big deal but all I can think about is the fact I looked like I do.

I’m holding on to the thought of how outdated that photo will look a year from now when I’m 10st lighter (a girl can dream!), but if nothing else I NEVER want to feel that uncomfortable in my skin again. Ever.

I’m doing this for fertility more than anything and now I’m worried if I did fall pregnant I’d have to stop. Can you LCHF in pregnancy?

absopugginglutely · 12/11/2019 19:30

@Nonononon wow- amazing and inspiring!!

Food check in

B: omelette with loads of butter, water x1 litre, cream coffee
L: 3 cherry tomatoes a celery stick with spoon of almond butter and some cut up smoked tofu, one litre of water.
1 cream coffee
D: FLGV, 1 litre water and a VERY buttery tuna steak which was gorgeous!
Stopped eating now til tomorrow at 10:30 when I have a coffee at DD’s ballet class!

KondoKonvert · 12/11/2019 20:13

Well done on all the NSVs!

B: Greek yoghurt, creamy coffee

L: broccoli and bacon salad

D: slow-cooked gammon with a mushroom, aubergine and cauliflower curry on the side.

AthelstaneTheWhoooOOOooo · 12/11/2019 21:09

Hey, PCOS, you're named on the sheet now. And Flowers for your trouble. I've had similar issues with endo/hormones/weight/fertility and once I found this WOE I was so angry with the medics. Asking if I'd tried a couple of paracetamol. Telling me to eat less. Pah, don't want to think about it.

Plodding along here - not had much time, all hectic - but I'm so pleased my face is looking face-like again. Cheekbones and curvy jawline an' all. Not looking like Cate Blanchet yet, which is a bit of a blow.

BIWI · 12/11/2019 21:12

@PCOSCanPissOFF yes you can low carb if you're pregnant - although Bootcamp Light is probably better.

But try not to get too far ahead of yourself Grin

Courgette fries ?

@Nonononon, looking good ✅ well done

@Athelstane I thought you were pudding along , not plodding along 👍 that will teach me to read properly

rosesandsunflowers · 12/11/2019 23:31

Well done @Nonononon - fab result.

Welcome @PCOSCanpissoff

Today:
B: 2 eggs fried in butter on a handful of spinach with a dollop of mayonnaise
L: tuna salad from Pret
D: bolognese (first time having it without pasta which felt a bit weird - I do love spaghetti) I had it with broccoli instead!

So I've just been looking at comparison photos from week 1 to this week and there is a big difference. The scales may not seem to be budging that quickly (I'm 4.1lb down) but I'm definitely slimming down. The jeans overhang has virtually gone!!!

Amazing photos ladies! I’ll add my NSV photo, I got my jean shorts to fasten! I’m literally jumping with joy! I’m in Australia so I need my shorts! I’m two pounds down today!
