Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet

So we've got through the pesky weeks 3 and 4. Hopefully, if things have slowed or stopped for you, things will get going once more. Don't expect big losses each week though - losses will be around 1-2, possibly 3lbs each week (depending on how much you have to lose). But rest assured that each of those pounds will be fat.

And this is what a pound of fat looks like!

Hope you all have a good week Flowers

Down 1.5lb to 12st 1lb Smile - so I've achieved one objective - got to under 170lb Grin

Still got 12lb to go before my target for Christmas. I'm going to need a whoosh! Wink

I'm going to concentrate on fat and water this week Halo

stayathomegardener · 11/11/2019 12:02

I'm really struggling with allergies, itchy ears and sneezing and feeling under the weather generally since starting this WOE.

Thinking last night it can't just be my usual triggers of dust and cats so possibly dairy?
I've love all the recipes people have been posting so have gone unusually dairy heavy for me. (I'd started a new recipe fileConfused)
Greek yogurt and cream for breakfast.

Lovely French butter, cream and Parmesan on tender stem broccoli suggestion yesterday, cauliflower cheese instead of potatoes, hallumi on ratatouille.

I'm actually loving my food and feel a bit blank as to how to keep my fat high and food delicious whilst I remove dairy for at least a fortnight.

Any good ideas? Obviously will generally up my olive oil and cook more in perhaps goose fat but am so going to miss cooking with dairy.

prettybird · 11/11/2019 12:12

Butter doesn't count as dairy in this WoE (doesn't help if you have a dairy allergy though Sad) - so could you try cutting out other dairy (cream, cheese) before cutting out butter and see if that helps?

Try butter in coffee and whisking it/blending it to make a bulletproof coffee.

If you really need to drop butter, then as well as cooking in olive oil, coconut oil, adding flavourless coconut oil to coffee instead of butter (the KTC olive oil, available in Asian food shops or the ethnic aisle in major supermarkets) or herb tea.

Pork scratchings, pork cracknell, skin on chicken are all other ways of upping your fat intake.

rosesandsunflowers · 11/11/2019 13:10

Thanks @Biwi

So I have, amazingly lost 2lbs this week - and I even had some wine last night! I've tried to cut down the cheese I was having and I think it's making all the difference. This means I'm 3kg away from breaking the 70kg barrier which I've not done for ages. If I can keep this up then I'll be almost at my Pre-babies ideal weight. I definitely need this group to keep me focused - my DH just sent me a message to say he's had a coke!!! Can't believe he's broken the rules already just because he's got man flu! I'm off to down a litre of water Grin and have some lunch as I've not actually eaten today - apart from one chipolata and a creamy coffee.

Wishing everyone continual losses, love this WOE.

VeryLittleOwl · 11/11/2019 13:24

I've had a bad week. I've had family staying and have been doing the tourist thing with them, so five meals out, and then because I'd been eating carbs and sugar my PMT this month was horrendous. When I found myself sitting in the car in Tesco's car park on Friday lunchtime mindlessly demolishing (a) a pack of Walkers Bugles, (b) a bag of those wafer Oreo thingies and (c) a bag of Galaxy wafer curls followed by a stuffed crust cheese pizza for supper, I finally hit the ALERT button and am back on track again.

So 3lbs up this morning, but it's on its way back down again.

venusandmars · 11/11/2019 13:33

In London for a couple of days

B - avocado
Airport snack - olives
Plane food - smoked salmon and cream cheese
D - out but sample menu looks fine.

On phone so can't get the spreadsheet, but stayed the same anyway.

Summery1 · 11/11/2019 14:21

I've had a terrible week. Lots of family stuff went down and I couldn't get my head around this WOE, which needs to be planned.

Anyway, I'm up 2 lbs. Still in a healthy BMI but I'm now 11st 1.6lb when I was just below 11. So the goal now is to shed those 2 lbs this week.

I didn't post this week because I really wasn't on plan at all, but I'm baaack!!

B: Chicken drumstick and thigh.
L: 3 eggs with mushrooms, spinach and feta. Creamy coffee.
D: Slow cooked lamb shank with veg.

Determined to get below 11st again.

SittingontheSidelines · 11/11/2019 14:22

Lots of good results this morning. Well done and thanks @BIWI. For those who didn't see losses KOKO it will happen.
I'm two pounds down which takes me out of the 200s so I am very happy. My next goal is to get under the fourteen stones. I upped my fat this week and guess what? I didn't get fatter!!GrinI've been low carbing on and off for quite some time yet this still surprises me.

Breakfast/lunch. Cold lamb, cheese and celery.

Dinner will be sausage, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes.

Summery1 · 11/11/2019 14:22

And water. water, water!!

manxmaid · 11/11/2019 15:42

Two pounds gone in the last week and I even had a glass of wine on Saturday night Wine . I'm closing on the 14s and I can't remember the last time I saw that number on the scales.

prettybird · 11/11/2019 15:49

I had a glass or five Blush of wine over the weekend. I hasten to add that that was in total Smile (glass of cava on Friday, leaving dh to finish the bottle over 2 days Wink, shared a very nice bottle of a new wine that we've just got in, to see if it was worth adding to the wines we sell it is Grin, and a small glass at my dad's last night (while dh and my dad finished the rest of the bottle).

I might have seen a better drop if I hadn't partaken of so much Blush

TamingToddler · 11/11/2019 16:31

I gained 3/4s of a lb. Probably because I've had rubbish sleep this week with my 2 year old who normally sleeps 13 hours at night with no problem, so I'm not used to this deprevation!
Well done everyone on the losses!

Kleptronic · 11/11/2019 16:49

I stayed the same.

Glenthebattleostrich · 11/11/2019 17:45

Urgh, terrible weekend. Totally fell off the wagon ☹️

I was going to quietly disappear bit decided to own it, put it behind me and restart today.

B - FF Greek yogurt, 2 tea with cream
L - cheese and mushroom omelet
D - spiced lamb koftas, halloumi, cucumber

1.5l water so far.

ShagMeRiggins · 11/11/2019 17:51

Good to own it, Glen. Always better than hiding. And I don’t think the big stick’s coming for you. I could be wrong. Grin

BIWI · 11/11/2019 17:56

Well ...

Glenthebattleostrich · 11/11/2019 18:00

I need and deserve the big stick. I'm very disappointed in myself but am owning it and focusing on getting back on track.

prettybird · 11/11/2019 18:20

That looks a good re-start Glen Smile

Rayna37 · 11/11/2019 19:23

B: 2 hard boiled eggs at work, after swimming
Snack of nuts (about 30g, mixed)
L: tuna mayo salad, Greek yogurt
D: better than I was hoping for as out for tea: lamb burger with halloumi and salad: swapped chips and bun for salad and it was a nice plateful!
Water all ticked off.

BlueLilyLilyBlue · 11/11/2019 19:55

Well done everyone on your losses and NSV Flowers

Lost 2.5 pounds this week so I'm getting there, 12 stone 12. Also kept getting asked today whether I have a new dress - no just an old one I can finally get back into! Blush

B - boiled eggs x2
L - cheese and onion omelette with cucumber sticks
D - chicken thighs, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and gravy
S - 2 squares of 90% lindt choc. It's been a rough day!!

absopugginglutely · 11/11/2019 20:05

Could anyone tell me what NSV is?
Thanks Grin

prettybird · 11/11/2019 20:08

Non Scales Victory Smile

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 11/11/2019 20:09

Gah. Back up to 13st 2, probably lack of water. Rather low on water today too, due to a client meeting all morning. However, I've eaten sensibly (B: olives and antipasti meats, L: huge salad dresses with oil and a smoked mackerel fillet. S: olives. D: two small burgers with plastic cheese on the rest of the bag of salad (dressed in oil again), fried mushrooms and onions. Just up to two litres of water, 2 cups of decaf tea, 1 real coffee, 1 decaff.

Tomorrow I am going to see if I can be brave enough to put tinned coconut milk in my coffee.

absopugginglutely · 11/11/2019 20:21

@prettybird Thank you!

absopugginglutely · 11/11/2019 20:22

Does anyone know if I can make this bullet proof coffee with a hand blender? I don't have a blender blender.
Thanks.
