Morning!

Here's what you have all been waiting for!

I love this week, because there are always some fabulous results - and those who really didn't believe it was going to work are always amazed!

OP posts:
Hagbeth · 21/10/2019 19:34

I'm going to post what I eat every day- starting right now! Grin I think it can be really helpful both posting and reading about different foods people eat. Tomorrow morning I'm trying Coconut porridge - first time, I spotted it on the Excel sheet.
For dinner today I'm having peppered smoked Mackerel and Brussel sprouts in butter. Yum!

Cauliflowerpower · 21/10/2019 19:34

I'm not sure I like celeriac.... I've made a whacking great pot of soup... and well... let's just say its interesting.... I don't HATE it....

Still going to eat it... I might complain a bit though.... does being grumpy burn more calories?

prettybird · 21/10/2019 19:36

Try stirring some chilli oil through it cauliflower Smile - or grate some nutmeg into it. Celeriac can take lots of different extra flavours.

rosesandsunflowers · 21/10/2019 19:49

Not been around much the last few days. Been manic organising DS1s birthday party. Did a lot of baking - cake / biscuits etc. Took a lot of willpower to not eat them! Anyway I've not lost much weight (1/2 lb) but a) I know I've not been 100% good with my birthday etc and b) had my period. That said lots of people have commented my face looks thinner and I think my tummy has gone down a bit - will measure tomorrow as I forgot today. Jeans that were almost cutting me in two by the end of the day don't feel as tight so all seems to be a step in the right direction. DH is looking noticeably slimmer too (although he had a lot more to lose than me).
Have been a bit rubbish with my water in take the last couple of days as I've been so manic - only managing around 2 litres so I'm going to sort that out.
Well done everyone who's lost lots. I'm in agreement with others - I do love this way of eating, it seems to suit both DH and I.

MrsGarethSouthgate · 21/10/2019 19:51

Cauliflowerpower Or add a wedge more butter and stir it in?

MrsGarethSouthgate · 21/10/2019 19:51

Bold fail 😁

princessbear80 · 21/10/2019 19:56

@princessbear80

Maintenance is easy - in theory!

What did you do to put all the weight (and more) back on? If you simply reverted to eating a high carb diet, then that will have been inevitable! It's the carbs that led to the weight gain in the first place.

Glenthebattleostrich · 21/10/2019 20:38

Survived the day!

At softplay I had some chicken wings with salad and sour cream. My friend on slimming world was very envious 😁

Just had the most amazing piece of trout roasted with salt and lemon. Had a huge green salad with cucumber with it. Dressed in a drizzle of olive oil.

@BIWI I'm far to scared of your big stick to misbehave

@RubySlippers77
I hate softplay bit unfortunately some of the parents of the children i care for think sending their children in doodles when it's raining and I've asked for 'appropriate outdoor clothing' so we can go to the woods is fine 🤔

Venus, huge thanks for the drinks tips. I hadn't actually thought of what to have. I think I may treat myself to a slimline tonic with ice and lemon and then sparkling water with fruit in it ☹️. Missing wine now.

Glenthebattleostrich · 21/10/2019 20:41

@venusandmars the graffiti is awful, why do people think that's ok. If you have an opinion sod off to Twitter or write it on your own bloody wall.

Cauliflowerpower · 21/10/2019 21:15

Mmmmmm curry powder or some sort of spice is deffo needed......

Right food done for tomorrow going to have a lovely salmon salad and soup for lunch and I'm trialling a new recipe for dinner for lamb koftas . Hub will have rice that the girls rejected tonight, and I will try cauliflower rice!!!

I'll be having the soup with my lunch salad

Polkadotties · 21/10/2019 21:16

Yes @BIWitch that’s exactly what I did Blush

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 21/10/2019 21:49

Evening all, and congratulations to all the losers this week Grin

I've not been posting my daily meals as I'm on week 5 and scared of BIWI's big stick but I'm still here lurking and koko.

Weight this morning 12stone 12lbs, so 3lbs loss which I am very happy about. Pretty sure all the water has kick started loss again, i wasn't drinking nearly enough before.

More Stilton and broccoli soup tonight, might add some crispy bacon bits too...

venusandmars · 21/10/2019 22:20

Posting tomorrow's food now as I'll be out all day at a celebration for PILs wedding anniversary (telegram from the Queen!).

B - boiled egg mashed with butter, 1/2 an avocado, butter coffee (filling up so I'm not tempted by anything bad at lunchtime)
L - buffet (I'm doing the buying so while others are eating M&S sandwiches and sausage rolls, pasta salad and cous cous, I'll be tucking into greek salad with feta and olives, celery and guacamole, cucumber and pate. And there will be enough going on that I can accept a piece of cake and quietly dispose of it.
D - veg soup

SittingontheSidelines · 22/10/2019 03:05

@venusandmars sorry, that sounds awful, the graffiti that is. Hope you enjoy tomorrow's celebrations.

I fell asleep mid read trying the catch up with the thread. Awake again now Well done everyone on the losses. All brilliant. I've lost two pounds. Food today was
B yogurt
L two eggs with tomatoes
D chicken leg with skin. Sprouts, mushrooms, leeks, cauliflower/broccoli/tenderstem broccoli

absopugginglutely · 22/10/2019 04:32

Uh. DD has dropped her daytime nap and went to bed at 7:30 but has been up since 3:30 wanting to get up and go downstairs.
I had loads of veg for tea but still feel really constipated, I think red meat as an evening meal is bad news for my digestion so today I’m going to have more veg with my lunch and a lighter dinner.

DownUdderer · 22/10/2019 06:11

Marking my place

Almahart · 22/10/2019 06:17

Hallo all. Struggling here a bit so I’ve come to ask for help! I haven’t lost any weight for weeks now and I know I am sabotaging myself. So for example yesterday I had a glass of white wine and some dark choc Confused

I KNOW that’s not BC and if I keep going like that I won’t lose weight, but I’ve been stuck for do long I’ve sort of given up. I think I need to be on this thread more for accountability

Twit · 22/10/2019 07:11

Morning!

@absopugginglutely, have you tried a bulletproof coffee yet? That might help things along, although I used ground flaxseed on my yoghurt, because I don't really drink coffee, and that worked as well.
And of course green leaves and water...

@venusandmars, hope you have a lovely day!

@Almahart, the first time I did bootcamp, I stalled for most of it after the first two weeks or so. Then, right at the end I had an enormous whoosh and I was suddenly 9st something!
Hope being here keeps you on the straight and narrow, so you can avoid BIWI's stick!

I stuck to my plan yesterday, except I had some mince I stole (so there was less tomatoes and no red wine) from the bolognese sauce and spinach for tea. I drank either 2.5 or 3l of water, but I got a bit confused at one point, so...😬
Today I'm going to aldi, although I'm feeling rough again, my aches & pains have started up again and I'm really tired.
So.
B: left over omlette from yesterday
D: broccoli and stilton soup I think.
T: depends on how I feel tbh. I'm aiming for pork belly and buttery veg.

Hope you all have a great day!

Rshard · 22/10/2019 07:34
