Morning!

Here's what you have all been waiting for!

I love this week, because there are always some fabulous results - and those who really didn't believe it was going to work are always amazed!

Are most people doing bootcamp strict during the week then light at the weekend?

That's my plan.

I'm also buying new scales @absopugginglutely I will eventually die if not. Of a head injury precipitated by leaning back on my bloody scales to weigh less. I will crack my head on the bath. Unfortunately DH will know what killed me because he does the same and I will literally have died of vanity. New scales seems more sensible.

MrsTerryPratchett · 26/10/2019 17:51

Missed the last page... Sorry to hear that @8Track All the best Flowers

prettybird · 26/10/2019 18:13

Never tried that MrsGarethSouthgate - I'll give it a go Smile

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 26/10/2019 18:17

Have experimented this evening with making pumpkin cheesefake - no base, more like a soufflé, no sugar in the body of it, just pumpkin, cream, cream cheese, egg, spices. Will test it tomorrow when DS1 is home and everyone else has pumpkin cheesecake - delicious, but a sugary nightmare for LCHF!

8Track · 26/10/2019 18:20

Thanks MrsTP

BIWitch · 26/10/2019 18:44

@8track - sorry to hear that Sad

Over the years there have been some really great, funny things said/written - I wish I'd kept a record of them!

Tonight Chez BIWI we're having pan-fried duck breast, with roasted swede chips, dusted with sea salt and chilli, griddled asparagus and salad with a shallot vinaigrette.

I'm loving having my kitchen back/having a lovely new kitchen to play in!

8Track · 26/10/2019 18:52

Sounds absolutely delish Biwi, you're certainly making the most of that fab kitchen!

Ooh, how swedey are swede chips? Do you make them like celeriac ones?

Also thanks, I'm much better now I'm -not wallowing- doing something

BIWitch · 26/10/2019 19:12

Today I've made the swede chips like this - par boiled them for 5 minutes, drained and let them steam dry for a minute or so, then in a shallow oven tray coated in olive oil, drizzled more olive oil over the top, and then seasoned with a shake of chilli powder, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Baked them for 20 minutes, then turned them over and they're currently baking for another 20 minutes.

absopugginglutely · 26/10/2019 19:15

@MrsTerryPratchett excellent! Yes I’m in that very same territory- you’re right it is dangerous!
Let me know if you find some good ones.

Trip to Granny’s today was great and I managed to swerve all desserts, cakes, biscuits. The only thing I had was a slice of her home made quiche, I left most of the bottom part so I hope I avoided most of the pastry.

We’re not going anywhere now til Christmas so the pit of control of what I’m eating thing shouldn’t happen again.

Breakfast 3x M&S rolitos 1 cream coffee, 3 cherry tomatoes, 2 slices of salami.

Lunch: cucumber, lettuce, quiche 😱 granny’s green soup, raspberries and cream.
Large mug of coffee with milk eek!

Dinner:
M&S garage special:
chorizo crisps, guacamole, prawns with chilli and lime

Feel awful now.

Crap food day.

Tomorrow need loads of water and FLGV to make up for it.

TheGhostofRaynaJaymes · 26/10/2019 20:49

Today's food:
Late breakfast/brunch of cheese crusted mushroom omelette with 2 rashers of bacon.
No lunch as such just some yogurt with cream.
Dinner: Moroccan chicken with cauliflower "cous cous" from Tom Kerridge's Dopamine Diet. Really good.
Plenty of water.

SittingontheSidelines · 26/10/2019 21:49

Food for today. I was unusually hungry this morning (I think as a result of fat sugary cocktail last night) so had leftover steak with a grilled tomato for breakfast.

Too full then for lunch but had a latte made with almond milk.

Dinner was belly pork with cauliflower and sprouts.

Tomorrow we're out all day and will have to eat on the move so think it may be several snacks rather than three meals. Taking left over pork, sausages, cheese, olives, tomatoes and cucumber.

prettybird · 27/10/2019 00:56

Dh made a curry tonight while I was out and he used. my. clotted. cream. Hmm because "he didn't want to open the unopened carton of double cream" Confused

...and worse, he's put in butter beans, so I can't even have any of the leftovers tomorrow Angry

I was very good at the event that I went to: full buffet and a half carafe of wine (it was a fundraiser that I'd paid £18 for): and I gave away my ticket for the wine, drank water throughout the evening although I only went after Strictly had finished Wink, and only ate some boiled eggs, a chicken drumstick, some tomatoes and some cheese. I didn't nibble any nuts and chose not to have coleslaw as I wasn't sure if it was made with salad cream. Halo

DownUdderer · 27/10/2019 05:45

I’ve lost 4lbs so far! Fab. I’ve been out walking every day this week to get my step count up. A NSV today, my gym leggings don’t cut me in half when I’m sitting in the car, it used to be agony, but today I had no issues with them! I’m inching closer to being a normal weight and I can’t wait!

Nonononon · 27/10/2019 09:39

Had a big breakfast this morning..
I fried a courgette, a small leek, some mushrooms and 4 cherry tomatoes in some butter then had the whole lot on top of a 90g of rocket leaves (dressed in olive oil)
It was lovely.
L: probably a tuna mayo salad (might miss it, I'll see how I feel, I want to go onto 2 meals a day from tomorrow anyway and we're only one day away from finishing the first two weeks so can't see it doing any harm.)
D: pork shoulder steaks with cauliflower rice, fried. And I'll have a load of buttery kale on the side.

KondoKonvert · 27/10/2019 11:04

I'm 0.6lb up so far so hoping for an overnight miracle 🙌🏻 but it is that time of the month so that's prob not helping!

WATER!!!!

AgathaMystery · 27/10/2019 11:58

Morning! May I please join you all?

BIWitch · 27/10/2019 12:01

Welcome @AgathaMystery! Of course you can join us.

venusandmars · 27/10/2019 12:35

Brunch - Omlette with mushrooms, spinach, shallot, some left over crispy pancetta. Butter coffee
D - baked green pepper stuffed with bolognese, topped with parmesan. Plus salad and Cole slaw.

Another sunshine walk. I love autumn.

whojamaflip · 27/10/2019 13:09

Well I spectacularly fell off the waggon yesterday 😳🙁

On a scout camp overnight which was catered and it was either eat what was on offer or starve. Usually it's bolognese or curry so thought I would just eat the meat and leave the pasta, rice etc so didn't take much food with me but no they did pie chips and peas!

Ate the pie but refused the rest.

Breakfast was perfect though - bacon, eggs and mushrooms.

How much damage will the blip do? Was doing so well and I just feel like crap today (but that could be the zero sleep I got last night) - didn't drink enough water either as well 🙁

Ketomeato · 27/10/2019 14:11

I ate LOADS of broccoli rice last night as it was going out of date and today I have so much gas I am almost self propelled.

StabMeReapers · 27/10/2019 14:38

whojamaflip focus on water today. What’s done is done, it’s a process.

8Track · 27/10/2019 14:41

Oh no who, that sounds like a nightmare to avoid!! Good effort on salvaging it as best you could. Breakfast sounds delish! Lots of water today should hopefully minimise any harm.

Ketomeato Ooh broccoli rice. Did you blend it up from a whole broccoli? Plus the sound fx sound like a hilarious bonus!

Today -
Breakfast - 2 black coffees
Lunch - copious cheese tastes and the meat from a goat curry (was at the local market - and the Oyster chap was awol!! #middleclassproblems)
Dinner - french trimmed rack of lamb, braised fennel, garlic butter kale, leeks.
Cheese course!! Tried 3 shops today before finding celery - and I had a sliver of raw swede yesterday which is tempting me to crisp up in the oven to see if it turns into crackers.

Hope we're all enjoying this lovely autumnal Sunday.

MrsTerryPratchett · 27/10/2019 15:37

OK wise ones. I'm making preserved lemons and want to know the carbs... Can I eat them at all, being fruit? But people squeeze lemon into water on here even though it's a fruit.

The recipe calls for Meyer lemons, which are sweeter and actually a lemon-mandarin cross. That must be a no-no right?

And there's no way to work out the carbs because 'lemon' in MyFitnessPal assumes the inside of a lemon and with preserved lemons you eat the whole thing.

Confused
Glenthezombiebattlingostrich · 27/10/2019 16:07

@8Track Flowers. Dementia is a bastard.

Christmas and birthday shopping today and a nice lunch with DD. Talked her into a burger place where I had salad with a bacon cheeseburger burger (salad instead of a bun), deep fried halloumi (checked it isn't in anything just halloumi chucked in the fryer) and some chicken wings. It was bloody gorgeous. 2 cups of creamy tea for breakfast.

Dinner will be sizzle steaks fried in butter with mushrooms and feta.

TheGhostofRaynaJaymes · 27/10/2019 16:17

Enjoying the autumnal sunshine with a 3.5 mile run and then been up to Crosby beach for a bit of a walk.

Coffee with cream in bed before my run. Late breakfast of a mushroom and cheese 2 egg omelette. A few hot drinks with milk in. Dinner will be roast pork belly joint, green beans, roast celeriac chunks and broccoli. Will get going on the water this evening!

Planning to add in nuts as a snack but keep wine mostly to weekends from here forwards. Probably no fruit, I'm well used to doing without except for strawberries in season with thick cream, and prefer veg anyway.
