Summer Low Carb Bootcamp - at last the finishing line!

BIWI · 22/07/2019 08:23

Isn't 10 weeks a long time!

The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here one last time

Although this is the last official weigh-in, this thread will stay up for general chat/support until the next Bootcamp - probably in October.

I hope everyone has a good 'final' result.

Every Bootcamp is different, but this one has, I have to say, been remarkably well behaved Grin. I've lost the Big Stick somewhere in the back of a cupboard!

While I know you're all here and reading because I know people don't read all the posts if you want to take the opportunity to meet @ShagMeRiggins (and me) for a lighthearted Bootcamp style & beauty event probably with gin thrown in for good measure send me a PM!

SummerSazz I’m on day 5 too! Well done on the loss. I’m hoping for similar when I weigh in tomorrow morning.

SummerSazz · 01/09/2019 09:07

Thanks @princessbear80 and @Rshard and hope it's a good reading on the scales tomorrow. I know this woe works for me, it's just a case of sticking to it (mainly avoiding beer which I love Grin)

I've got a horrendous work schedule in sept with 2 conferences and nights away which are always liberally sprinkled with booze plus the stress of presenting 4 times at the conferences which I hate. So I'm really trying to get into a routine before then as I'm usually better when on a roll with it.

YesQueen · 01/09/2019 11:02

I've had a whoosh today of -3lbs Smile

venusandmars · 01/09/2019 11:18

A friend of mine who started this woe a couple of months ago has just texted so say he's lost a stone. So delighted for him.

I'm pretty much at target weight so just keeping vigilant and sts. I've found that in the main my desire for stodgy carbs is low and the longer I eat like this the better I am at finding alternatives that I love.

I'm off today to pick brambles - lovely juicy, sharp, tasty. With a big dollop of double cream.

SittingontheSidelines · 01/09/2019 12:17

Lunch today was two egg wraps, (one egg per wrap)one filled with cheese, tomato and olives. The other with peanut butter (a measured amount as I could eat a jar in one go no problem) tomato and cucumber.

Dinner will be meatballs in passata, green beans and Parmesan.

Out all day tomorrow for a final fling before it's back to school so will be prepping for that.

Loving all the positive posts.

Rshard · 01/09/2019 12:42

Enjoy the bramble picking venus, dh came home from the allotment with a tub full yesterday - delicious.

SummerSazz · 01/09/2019 20:36

Blackberry picking here too! There were loads . Jam made although none for me.....

Day 6 and still going strong 💪

Well done on the whoosh @YesQueen, I'm hoping for one of those as 1lb jumped back on this morning Hmm

princessbear80 · 01/09/2019 20:54

Well done on your whoosh yesqueen.

Food has been a bit rubbish today. Stuck to lchf, but no where near healthy enough or with enough veg. Must try harder.

B- boiled eggs mashed with butter
L on the go - a pepperami and two boiled eggs
D - sausages and celeriac mash

Looking forward to weighing in tomorrow. Been doing it 6 days now so should see a difference.

Mimosa1 · 01/09/2019 21:27

Well done on the woosh @YesQueen @SummerSazz you have peanut butter and egg in a wrap? Is it nice? Sounds a bit strange to me (but I bet my DH would love it, he has PB with everything!)

Down to 82kg today. Still heavier than when I gave birth to my first and I thought I was heavy then aaargh aaargh aaargh but a step in the right direction. Lunch was salmon mayo cheese avocado and mayo low carb wraps - very good indeed.

SummerSazz · 01/09/2019 21:44

Not me @Mimosa1 Grin

YesQueen · 01/09/2019 22:10

I'm even more pleased with the whoosh as I'm mid period so should be heavier really! Hopefully it will come off more after that's finished, I'm not feeling great tonight again which is annoying but probably period related

Nameusernameuser · 02/09/2019 07:47

Morning everyone. Been off this thread for a few weeks as well as off plan but steadily losing. I'm stuck at losing around half a lb a week even though I still have around a stone and a bit to lose, so going to low carb again. At least I've not gained any weight!

princessbear80 · 02/09/2019 07:59

Just weighed in, have lost 5.5lb since I started on Tuesday. I’m delighted. I am so determined this time. Food shop arriving today which should definitely help.

YesQueen · 02/09/2019 10:41

Mouth tastes awful this morning Blush
B - boiled egg, piece of cheese
L - peppered ham, cauliflower cheese
T - no idea. Chicken cauliflower rice possibly as Sainsbury's have given me a v short dated one!

Snacks if needed - almonds, dark chocolate

Mimosa1 · 02/09/2019 16:35

Another 300g off for 81.7kg today. I know it's only the first few days wooshiness but I'm happy. Must drink more water

SittingontheSidelines · 02/09/2019 17:28

@Mimosa1 it was me with the peanut butter, plus tomato and cucumber in the wrap. The wrap was made from the egg (a very very thin omelette), first time I'd tried it with peanut butter. I thought it was delicious but I love peanut butter (and marmite which is my usual wrap filling).

One pound down this week. well done all you losers.

1Wildheartsease · 02/09/2019 22:58

A long walk and talk again today - we put the world to rights and exhausted the dogs. :) (I should employ my friend as a personal trainer!)
eggs and butter and coffee
water

babybel cheese and walnuts
water

cheese omelette with shallots - green pepper and roast broccoli
water
rosehip tea

ShagMeRiggins · 03/09/2019 06:05

Dreadful couple of weeks for me, not Bootcamp-related, just too much Real Life. Ugh. Haven’t bothered to weigh but haven’t really bothered to eat much either.

However...

Another day, another chance to succeed. I’m going to start with that spinach and feta omelette mentioned upthread.

WATER! WATER! WATER!

hightymike · 03/09/2019 07:40

I know bootcamp is over but hoping to join on here to get some inspiration in readiness for the next one. I am having mushrooms for breakfast and have noted the importance of water (above) so will try and drink plenty today.

Mimosa1 · 03/09/2019 07:54

@hightymike I've just started a few days ago too.

@ShagMeRiggins I know the feeling! Hope things get on an even keel soon.

Down to 81.1kg today so lovely wooing and encouragement to stay the course but... I was in the low 70s this time last year gggah. I'm really going to focus on maintenance this time round, although in pushy have a fair bit to go first!

What do people use to track their weight? Any apps you particularly like?

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 03/09/2019 07:59

Sorry to hear you've had a tough time, @ShagMeRiggins. Thanks

Almahart · 03/09/2019 08:59

Back after a few weeks off on holiday. Have put on about three pounds, am sure they will come off quickly

Sorry to hear things aren’t so good Shagmeriggins

Have massively cut down on alcohol since starting this boot camp. Didn’t even drink that much wine in France

Bf today is ff yoghurt and berries, lunch will be bolognaise with cheese. Dinner probably egg based as need to get out quickly for yoga

BIWI · 03/09/2019 10:21

Welcome to all the new starters Smile

Sorry you're having a rough time @ShagMeRiggins - anything we can help with?

Had my birthday party on Saturday (60! You can start calling me an old bag now, based on how most MNetters seem to view women Of A Certain Age!) and have been massively off piste - mainly with fizz and birthday cake Blush

Morning all and welcome to newcomers.

I'm not in a great headspace at the moment - long running work related situation is taking its toll on my mental health. Still almost hanging in there, although I seem to have developed a mid afternoon oatcake habit which Is Not Good.

Doing ok on the scales despite this, and am still sitting at 3 stone off since mid May which I am pleased about. I am able to wear some of my favourite things from almost 20 years ago and which still look fantastic .

Off to go and do some online yoga.

NigellaAwesome · 03/09/2019 10:42

Happy birthday BIWI!
