Isn't 10 weeks a long time!

The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here one last time

Although this is the last official weigh-in, this thread will stay up for general chat/support until the next Bootcamp - probably in October.

I hope everyone has a good 'final' result.

Every Bootcamp is different, but this one has, I have to say, been remarkably well behaved Grin. I've lost the Big Stick somewhere in the back of a cupboard!

While I know you're all here and reading because I know people don't read all the posts if you want to take the opportunity to meet @ShagMeRiggins (and me) for a lighthearted Bootcamp style & beauty event probably with gin thrown in for good measure send me a PM!

@YesQueen thanks, that's really helpful.
@BIWI I'll check those out.
@NigellaAwesome That's really inspirational!!! I'm going to keep that in mind when if I start struggling!

Drinking lots of water feels like a really important part of it which I hadn't realised before . For my weight I need to drink 3.5 litres/day!

1Wildheartsease · 25/08/2019 14:42

Well done NigellaAwsome!

YesQueen · 25/08/2019 15:56

I've eaten and had water so going to nap for a bit and see how I feel when I wake up

SittingontheSidelines · 25/08/2019 21:29

Congratulations @NigellaAwesome that's some achievement.

SittingontheSidelines · 25/08/2019 21:30

YesQueen · 26/08/2019 10:12

Went to visit my lovely friend today. She had made me roast cauliflower with olive oil, spices, lemon juice and almonds. Followed by strawberries and cream. What a star!

Rayna37 · 26/08/2019 20:03

Just had a fabulous simple fish pie. Pretty easy but uses far too many pans, wouldn't attempt if DH wasn't the washer-upper!

One pack of fish pie mix (I've made my peace with this, it really does save faff), poached. Two boiled eggs. One leek, steamed. This all went in the bottom of the dish with creme fraiche over as the sauce. Top with cauliflower mash and a sprinkle of grated cheese. 25 mins in the oven alongside a tray of frozen green beans.

Won't mention the various edible indiscretions at a village fete, it's amazing what you can consume in the time it takes DH to run up and down a (small) mountain though. Did resist buying any home made jam Halothat really is my weakness and the last thing I should be eating is refined carbs with a topping of sugar!

About 6lbs over target currently, trundling on in maintenance mode really.

YesQueen · 26/08/2019 20:21

Sort of planned my meals for the week

Meatballs with courgetti in tomato cream sauce with some Parmesan
Chicken in herbs with cabbage and leeks
Sausages (picked some v low carb ones up today) with cauliflower cheese

Lunches for work will be salads, as usual creature of habit

1Wildheartsease · 26/08/2019 20:30

Coffee and cream

Spinach and feta omelette with shallots and homegrown tomato Smile glass white wine
Water

Slow roast chicken with bacon, roast courgette ,roast tender stem broccoli, red wine
Water

SittingontheSidelines · 27/08/2019 07:03

Yesterday I had a chicken salad picnic style for lunch

For dinner I had hot spiced chicken wings with dressed leaves and Greek yogurt to dip.

Today will be the scraps of leftover chicken, egg, cheese salad.

Another loss yesterday. This heat is really helping me stick to it. Three pounds to go to a two stone loss since the start of Bootcamp.

OopsBird · 27/08/2019 07:25

@1Wildheartsease spinach & feta omelette, what a great idea! I think I'll have that today.

I had leg cramps last night. Wearing long thick socks helped, wasn't part of the plan to keep cool though ! Anyone had this as a result of low carb?

NigellaAwesome · 27/08/2019 08:47

@SittingontheSidelines well done!

BIWI · 27/08/2019 08:50

Wow @SittingontheSidelines that's fantastic! Flowers

I'm nearly a stone down now, and into the next stone bracket

B - egg mayo and two mini sausages
L - goats cheese salad
T - not a clue. Courgette noodles and something

Snacks (it's a LONG work day today) almonds, babybel, two squares dark choc

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 27/08/2019 10:31

Managed to lose the 3lb I put on holiday! Grin

princessbear80 · 27/08/2019 11:19

Hi all I hope you don’t mind me joining you before the next boot camp is up and running. I’m starting today. I was really successful on the Oct boot camp that started in Oct 2017. I followed it and kept going up until Feb 2018, and lost about 2.5 stone in total. Since then I’ve put it all back on, plus another half a stone - I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been. I need to make a change once and for all. I now realise lchf will be a lifestyle choice for life. Hoping to support you all and get support too. The board really helped me last time round.

princessbear80 · 27/08/2019 11:20

I will RTFT tonight.

Cauliflowerpower · 27/08/2019 11:20

Right clambering back on the wagon as of now...

B - bacon and sausage (although I've not eaten it )
L - Chicken and salad
D - Cheeseburger casserole ( a new recipe!) with salad!

I've had about 2 sips of water so far so need to get going on that... Also forgot to take the new scales home on Friday so will set them up and weigh in tomorrow!

BIWI · 27/08/2019 12:12

Welcome -back- @princessbear80!

OP posts:
1Wildheartsease · 27/08/2019 13:15

That is great @SittingontheSidelines and @YesQueen!

@princessbear80 - I've come to realise the same thing.

This is for life. The difference (from other 'diets') is I know that I've got to love and accept it. (No point trying to rely on willpower forever; willpower gets tired!).

I accepted (almost) that my losses this year will be slower as I'm trying to make this way of eating into my normal. It is a healthy way to live and enjoyable too. Weight loss is more a side-effect.

(Though I'd really like to lose the last stone by the end of the year... I don't want to upset things by pushing too hard and falling back into the lose/gain cycle.)

I'm working on finding recipes that fit in well for everyone (the feta and spinach omelette was lovely @OppsBird) and ways of doing things that mean I don't feel deprived or needing to 'make up' to myself for things missed.

I have a collection of substitutes for times I want a carby thing (but don't want to feel hungry for 3 days after eating one). There are low carb desserts/pretend bread-rolls/kind-of pizza bases/mock garlic bread/no flourorsugar cakes. These are available -and some are very good indeed - but not often required.

Gradually I'm becoming that person who doesn't order a sweet - because they don't fancy one. Shock Never thought that could happen.

All the best to everyone. May the magic work for us all this week.

YesQueen · 27/08/2019 18:00

Tea of meatballs, Courgette noodles, bacon and smoked paprika tomato sauce, grana padaro

Youwanapizzame · 27/08/2019 19:52

Oooooh @yesqueen! That looks nice! Mmmmmmm

YesQueen · 27/08/2019 20:05

It was lovely, I just fancied a change from carbonara. It's the lowest carb fresh tomato sauce Sainsbury's had to offer and I used 1/3 of a small tub
