Summer Low Carb Bootcamp - at last the finishing line!

Isn't 10 weeks a long time!

The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here one last time

Although this is the last official weigh-in, this thread will stay up for general chat/support until the next Bootcamp - probably in October.

I hope everyone has a good 'final' result.

Every Bootcamp is different, but this one has, I have to say, been remarkably well behaved Grin. I've lost the Big Stick somewhere in the back of a cupboard!

While I know you're all here and reading because I know people don't read all the posts if you want to take the opportunity to meet @ShagMeRiggins (and me) for a lighthearted Bootcamp style & beauty event probably with gin thrown in for good measure send me a PM!

Oh no, sorry to hear that YesQueen - sending lots of love. Hope you're doing okay.

Good day yesterday, all on plan and I'm LOVING the vast amounts of chilled water! Today:
B - buttery mushrooms and leftover omelette
L - leftover bbqd meatballs, mozzarella, tomato and rocket salad with chili oil (plus a walk when I go to get the chili oil!)
D - spicy thai beef with creamy mashed celeriac.

Water water water!!

Notwatchingtvtoday · 13/08/2019 11:10

Morning all
I’m very sorry about your horse YesQueen

I’m trying to follow, not gain, but have managed to put on a pound, so have had to try to be a bit stricter with myself.

B total yogurt and butter coffee
L eggs and salad
Cottage pie with celaric mash and FLGV with butter

venusandmars · 13/08/2019 11:10

@BIWI good choice, I don't see candle wax in any of the allowable lists in BC rules Grin

Flowers for Queen what an awful and sad shock.

B - butter coffee
L - egg Mayonnaise salad
D - Egyptian dukah courgettes with spinach and cheese.

SittingontheSidelines · 13/08/2019 11:18

@YesQueen there just aren't words. And @VeryLittleOwl the same. They give us so much the loss is profound

@VeryLittleOwl the shorts are amazing. Well done

@BIWI well done and well deserved.

1stMrsF · 13/08/2019 11:39

@VeryLittleOwl what an amazing transformation. Well done (and for being so clever as to take the photos, it's a great record of achievement)

BIWI · 13/08/2019 11:41

Great photos @VeryLittleOwl! Really shows how much progress you've made, much more so than a set of scales' measurements Flowers

Rshard · 13/08/2019 16:59

So sorry about your ewe verylittleowl, but you’re rocking those shorts now - what progress!

NigellaAwesome · 13/08/2019 22:45

Great shorts photo Owl. Not only can you see the difference with the shorts, I can really see it on your lower face and around your rib cage.

Sorry about your ewe.

SittingontheSidelines · 14/08/2019 00:09

Lunch was cheese, cucumber and tomatoes
Dinner was chicken leg/thigh with the skin on. And a very large dressed salad.

8Track · 14/08/2019 11:42

Hope no-one minds me continuing to post on this thread - I'm finding a place to keep in touch is keeping me on track as I've only just started.

Today:
B - black coffee; 3 leftover meatballs, avocado and cream cheese with tabasco.
L - will be thai swede soup this time with added yoghurt ass it felt a bit lacking in fat before.
D - no idea yet! Loads of LC stuff in, maybe chicken in creamy mushroom sauce with buttered cabbage.

1 litre of water down so far. I'm having it with a slice of lemon and ice cold. No idea how I'll cope if I'm out of reach of a cold water tap!

Wishing all a warming day in this rain.

BIWI · 14/08/2019 11:58

Of course you can post @8track! That's exactly what it's for!

Condolences to the people who've lost animals.

Sort of a NSV - a couple of lovely items of clothing I'd put away till I'd lost weight (a gorgeous pair of wide-leg grey wool trousers and a beautiful Alexander McQueen pencil skirt)...are now miles too big! ConfusedHmmGrin

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 14/08/2019 16:12

I just drank half a chocolate milkshake. I didn't want it, it was horribly sweet and I feel sick now. But DS wouldn't finish it, and I bear to waste it, it was like £4.

1Wildheartsease · 14/08/2019 18:44

You'll get past this Greebol!

(Be prepared to be hungry for 2 days... or is that just what happens to me after deviation from the right-and-true-path. :))

I guess milkshake is no longer something you miss? (Win.)

BIWI · 14/08/2019 19:09

Do I need to get the Big Stick out of the cupboard @GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal?! Sorry, but that is a mindset that you have to get out of. It's an excuse really, isn't it?

OP posts:
GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 14/08/2019 19:24

Noooo, I really didn't want it, I just hate waste!! Currently cooking all the leftovers in the house so they get eaten before we go on holiday.

8Track · 14/08/2019 21:22

On plan for breakfast and lunch.
Dinner has been cucumber with marmite, then some ribs (without bbq sauce!) with mayo and jalapeños.

Tomorrow:
B - avocado, tomato and mayo squeezed in the avocado hole! With some manchego and ham rolling.
L - made a paneer, massive courgette and mushroom curry with garam masala, butter and yoghurt.
D - heck sausage, eggs and roasted cauliflower.

I'm on 4 x 500ml water at work and then 2 pints at home, plus a couple of black coffees. Sleeping amazingly heavily at the moment too!

1Wildheartsease · 14/08/2019 22:02

B eggs and asparagus and butter coffee
coffee with cream

L prawn and mayo and green salad

D lemon sole in caper butter and salad with mayo -at local pub... with soda water and slice of lime (+polish for halo)

YesQueen · 14/08/2019 22:05

Slight NSV after the horrific last few days. I had a tattoo and didn't eat anything sugary before or during it Grin

SittingontheSidelines · 15/08/2019 08:07

Cucumber with marmite sounds good. I think I'll have some for lunch with a bit of left over chicken. Dinner will be a LC burger with cheese and a poached egg on served with roasted sprouts. Sounds slightly peculiar written down but I really fancied it when I planned it. Having said this this was yesterday's meal, however circumstance combined with tiredness led to going off plan which led to big time going off plan which led to me being very unwell at midnight. I'd like to say lesson learned but experience leads me to believe probably not. So I'm putting it here and I will not allow myself to disappear from the thread if I go off plan again. I am determined not to though. Meanwhile roll on tonight's sprouts.

@YesQueen Well done on the sugar free tattoo. I think I need one on my hand saying "No".

m0therofdragons · 15/08/2019 09:51

I dropped out of the last boot camp as, for various reasons my head wasn't in it. Dh was having tests for cancer, dd was finishing primary and there was just too much going on and I hit the carbs. I've just had 3 weeks in North America eating burgers and chips followed by ice cream so was expecting to re start on my return.

So, I've now returned and I think the lessons learned in January boot camp (where I lost 1.5stone) must have made a real impact as I've continued to make fairly good choices. Before holiday I had put back on 4lbs but after hols that's all gone. Lots of walking must have balanced my eating!

Determined I'm not going to continue that eating so am back onto boot camp rules. Feeling determined I'm going to lose my final 7lbs!

I would not have stuck to it previously if it wasn't for this group so thank you everyone, especially @BIWI

Notwatchingtvtoday · 15/08/2019 10:24

Hi
Thats great news re your holiday m0therofdragons

I had a find yesterday Whole Earth Almond Butter is 2.6g carb per 100g, I did have a horrified moment after eating several teaspoons, when I thought it was 26g, its quite difficult to read the label, so rang them to confirm. It is expensive £4.35 for 227g jar, but I'm the only one who eats it and I can offer their Peanut Butter to anyone else ( which is 7.6g).

I will pop it onto the products page.

B Total Greek Yogurt
L Eggs and salad
D Lamb casserole with green beans
