Flowers for Athel. So very sorry to read your news. Really hoping that the vets are wrong and your cat does make a recovery - a good recovery. If not, I hope s/he went without suffering. Sending you much love.

Been at hospital with DD since 10:30am, there is only a Costa and nothing here I can eat so in protest I'm not even buying their coffee. Dd is having a sausage bap. Luckily I had creamy coffees this morning so I'm not actually starving, but having to wait an hour for pharmacy while sat next to all the cakes and paninis is rather trying!

Rshard · 21/02/2018 14:07

Hope your dd is ok ragz?

Thinking of athelstane

I’ve made myself popular at work by having microwaved brussels with my leftover cottage pie. Hee hee!

Gammeldragz · 21/02/2018 14:10

Found a whsmith, found smokehouse almonds. Pacified now.

prettybird · 21/02/2018 14:12

Rshard - ds complains regularly when I make my buttery brussels as a snack/with my meal Smile

not stopping though Wink

Rshard · 21/02/2018 14:40

Does he not eat them at all prettybird? I insist that dd has at least one!

prettybird · 21/02/2018 15:00

Destinysdaughter · 21/02/2018 16:12

No way could I do this diet if I had to eat Brussels!!

Bleugh Smile

abbey44 · 21/02/2018 16:55

Destinysdaughter - no, no, if you feel like that about Brussels, you're just not doing them right! Sliced finely, stir fried in loads of butter and a dash of lemon juice....food of the gods, I tell you. And I used to be "one tiny sprout a year at Christmas" sort of person.

Rshard · 21/02/2018 16:58

abbey is right destinysdaughter, they’re little green balls of heaven cooked in the right way!

BumbleBeef30 · 21/02/2018 18:10

B mushrooms
S Black Forest ham
L beef burgers x 2, fake cheese, spinach, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise
D beef burger (not hungry, but wary of missing a meal)
W so far 3 litres, only another 0.5 to go

Black Mozart

I am exactly the same about creating sweet things as I'm worried it will make me go off plan.

But...I've been low carbing since the beginning of July and as a vegetarian there are less low carb options for me.

I've lost six stone and want to lose one more and to do this final stage I think I need to have some new foods so I can keep going.

Destiny

Thankyou for the Splenda advice.

I've noticed there area few of us with similar amounts left to loose so hope people stay on the board cos I need the support!

Plantlover · 21/02/2018 18:36

Black Mozart

Which supermarket do you buy erythitol from?

Plantlover · 21/02/2018 18:44

Plantlover - I bought erythritol and inulin (which is good for caramelising) from Amazon.

prettybird · 21/02/2018 18:59

This is what I bought:

Erythritol Natural Sweetener 1kg https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077V1RFCC?ref=yopopmaswff__

and

NKD Living Inulin powder from chicory - 500g_ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0746SRXZ5?ref=yopopmaswf

Destinysdaughter · 21/02/2018 19:01

Personally one of the joys of this diet is the fact that you can make delicious treats, biscuits, cakes, desserts, fatbombs etc! Makes me feel much less deprived. Of course you can't eat tons of them, but they're so filling anyway, I wouldn't. I've lost a stone so far so they don't seem to be derailing me. However we're all different, for me, my downfall is alcohol!

lightoflaluna · 21/02/2018 19:12

Following my blue crustless quiche disaster earlier in the week, i've had a look in Asda and found the WeightWatchers (sorry!!!) bacon and leek crustless quiches have only 5g carbs per quarter if anyone's interested. Theyre only £1. Haven't bought one yet but i might give them a try next week

Tonight's tea is salmon with stir fried cabbage

prettybird · 21/02/2018 19:14

I make/have one dessert a week (2 last week with Valentine's Day).

My dad even contacted me to check what I could have/wanted as it was his turn to do Sunday dinner. (He got berries & cream, rather than making the chocolate pots). Star

This weekend, he's taking ds to the Scotland-England rugby game, so we're having the family meal on Saturday, when they get back. I'll either do chocolate & cardamom pots (maybe adapted to try coffee flavouring) or I'm going to try Nigella's cloud cake using erythritol.

BlackMozart · 21/02/2018 19:47

plantlover I also bought my Erythritol from Amazon. Congrats on losing 6 stone! That’s amazing. I still need to lose just under 4 and I am not making any downward progress at all. Sighs. I think the only way this will work for me is if I take timeIhadanamechange’s advice and follow all the rules with no bootcamp lite which just feels too much for me at the moment because of the no chocolate thing. Sighs again...

perpetuallybewildered · 21/02/2018 19:55

Hello folks, I’m new to these threads but I’d love to join in if that’s ok. I’ve been low carbing for four weeks now and am feeling a little disheartened by the lack of weight loss. Three people have asked if I’ve lost weight and my clothes feel very slightly more comfortable but I’m exactly the same weight on the scales. How can that be?

Plantlover · 21/02/2018 20:26

PrettyBird

Thankyou for the Amazon links.

I've had periods where I've stayed the same and I try to concentrate on the food being really enjoyable to get me through. My weight has come off in lumps. I don't loose steadily like others seems to.

Destiny

I've not had anything low carb and sweet so far except berries and cream!

I've lost this much weight before but only once by low carbing previously. Can't remember why I lost the plot and put it back on. I seem to loose weight well but never maintain it not even for a week! Someone said to me once when I'd lost lots of weight do you think you've cracked this for life and I was shocked cos the thought hadn't entered my head!

BIWI

I went away for six days in half term and ate low carb but had one carbs thing on a few days eg a few chips, 5 mini eggs, 8 crisps. I put on 5 pounds! Is this kind of body response typical? I was upset after watching others eat all week while I had tiny treats!

What do you ( and others) do on holiday?
