Thank you, Beryl
And welcome BIWI
Good to hear all the losses and all the determination.
I have lost bollock all again this week. The scales aren't broken, as I tried picking something up while standing on them, and they went up. Every morning - for the last 20 mornings in a row - I am bang on 60kg. (My base weight (when I did a lot of outdoor work and was very strong) was 8.7, which is a rough target for me now). I have been fully
, and not deviated from meat, fish, green veg and butter (not had a drink for 16 days, and am definitely on Drybruary). One day last week I had to go out unexpectedly and got home so late I couldn't face food, so nothing all day. Next morning = 60kg. That day I was so hungry I ate 3 large dinners. Next morning = 60kg.
In these last 20 days I have lost 1" from boobs, waist, and 1/2" from hips, so there is some fat being lost. I'm ashamed to say I think the reason the weight isn't shifting is that I have lost so much muscle in the last few years (change to sedentary job), that for every pound of fat I might be losing, I'm gaining a pound of muscle, which is sorely needed.
When I started in January I could barely do 3 push-ups from the knees, which was a shock and a half. I'm now up to 10 on a good day, but that is still awful compared to where I was with my strength.
Huge apologies for the ramble, but to cut a long story short - although I am still aiming for my strong 8.7lb, I am much more resigned to remaining the same weight for a few months if I am swapping out fat for more muscle - doing both at the same time probably will take longer to get to goal than just losing fat without adding muscle.
On the plus side, I do LOVE the simplicity of my food - it always feels like exactly what I want to eat.
