I love this week, because this is when all the naysayers and doubters realise that this WOE really works!

(... and those who've cheated realise that that really doesn't work Wink)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to record your first loss

I missed most of this weekend as I have my very lovely SIL staying with us, prior to her leaving for a 6 month stint in Australia. So I haven't been able to be as glued to the laptop as I am usually.

Glad to hear that some of you have reported in good losses already - I'll look forward to hearing the rest today!

Good luck everyone, for this second week. Hopefully after a good first week you'll know it's worth it Flowers

Good call Holger. Dumping the yoghurt Envy

HolgerDanske · 16/10/2017 12:35

Don't get rid of it though! You could make a lovely tzatziki or a yoghurt and garlic sauce, it would be great with lamb kebab (or chops or sausages). Or you could use it in curries and/or other cooking.

wecantallbeperfect · 16/10/2017 12:43

@Scabbersley ** our ceiling is quite low but you don't bounce too high Grin I was breathing and sweating more after that than after my hour long run Grin

singadream · 16/10/2017 12:53

I bought a crayfish and avocado salad from pret for lunch. Ate it at 12 and threw it all up at 12.05. I don't think I am sick. Hmmmm. Well that's one way to lose weight...

singadream · 16/10/2017 12:54

[Joke!]

Hippadippadation · 16/10/2017 13:23

Brassica Greek yoghurt is definitely an acquired taste! Hence why the Greeks usually have it with honey Grin

Food today:
L - tuna & avocado salad with chilli oil & cheddar melted on top, was so yummy
D - crudites, pate, babybel, ham & cream cheese roll-ups, yoghurt dip

sos1993 · 16/10/2017 13:24

1lb down. I’ve been low carbing since August and I’m wearing, very comfortably, a top and jeans which I couldn’t get into in July. I had a fantastic week last week, but blew it at the weekend. My first carb blowout (a bread making course) and boy did I regret it today after seeing the gain on the scalesConfused. A very strict boot camp week for me this week with no dairy should make up for it. Have a great week everyone and well done on the fabulous losses. It is so encouraging.

Rshard · 16/10/2017 13:31

Reporting a 6lb loss, absolutely delighted. Feel in control of my body and my eating. Last week I have happily and easily ignored wide, cake, crisps, bread and icecream - all of which I love.

So much support and advice on here and massive thanks for all the organisation. So looking forward to week 2.

HolgerDanske · 16/10/2017 13:33

Lunch today was a 'Greek' salad from M&S (leaves, cucumber, a few mini tomatoes, black olives, feta and a dressing), with a few slices of roast beef topped with coriander and garlic, and I added a few pieces of artichoke heart antipasti as well.

It was really nice.

I'm tired today, was up very early this morning. Luckily I get to sit around and watch telly and work on crafts! Back to work in a couple of days so I'm going to enjoy having nowhere to be.

SweetBabyJebus · 16/10/2017 13:35

3.5lbs down. Happy, but not ecstatic. It should have been more, as I was 4lbs off on Thursday, and I know exactly where I lapsed, and why. Shame I was weak. But hey-ho, onwards and downwards!

Well done on some great losses.

prettybird · 16/10/2017 14:07

2lb down to 13stone 1lb Smile (will update the spreadsheet when I'm back on the laptop). Actually, it was 13stone 0.75lb but I only record whole pounds. It does however mean that if I lose a pound over the next week, I'll see 12 stone something Grin

Just taken my monthly measurements (only started in August, after the previous Boot Camp).

A wee bit disappointed with this month's measurements but I have a new tape measure so they should be more reliable long term than string and laying it out beside a steel tape measure! So I will KOKO Smile

16/10/17
Waist: 93cm/36.5"; No change in a month/-1.5" overall
Under bust: 90cm/35.5"; -0.5" in a month/-1.5" overall
Upper arm: 33cm/13" No change in a month/overall
Neck: 38cm/15cm; No change
Hips: 114cm/45"; +0.5" in a month/-0.5" overall
Thigh: 66cm /26"; +0.5" in a month/overall

princessbear80 · 16/10/2017 14:08

Hi all, bit late to the party, but ready to join boot camp! You are all doing great, loving reading all the success stories. I've filled in the spreadsheet, I want to lose at least a stone. Fingers crossed.

B - 2 boiled eggs, creamy coffee
L - chicken and avo salad with mayo
D - pork chops with mushrooms in butter and salad

prettybird · 16/10/2017 14:14

Oh - and should mention that when I first weighed this morning, I was 13stone 3lb - but a few trips to the loo and the first, ahem, movement in 2 days, followed by The Shred and I got the better figure Grin (And repeated the same figure after having a shower Wink)

I'd also vouch for the fact that the 3am wakenings to go to the loo do settle down Smile

MasterFlamingo · 16/10/2017 14:21

7lb down! This is my first post in boot camp and just came on to say thanks to everyone who is posting. I find that reading the thread really helps me to keep my determination strong. As well as boot camp, I started yoga last week and they seem to be quite complimentary activities (nothing like looking at your tummy in a downward dog position to keep one motivated!)

Lizard202 · 16/10/2017 14:23

Both SV (3.6 lb down) and NSV today (free cakes, sandwiches, crisps and fruit at work and I stuck to my hard boiled eggs and leftovers - much tastier too. Love this woe. Thanks so much ❤️❤️❤️

CarbyDiem · 16/10/2017 14:31

I have slapped myself with a belly pork slice and pulled up my big girl pants.

My NSVs.

I’m not hungry
My guts aren’t too irritable
It pisses of my evangelical vegan mate
I’m having moussaka for tea
I will koko

ilovecherries · 16/10/2017 14:35

Prettybird, 12 stone something has been tantalising me since SSS. My rule is three consecutive days for a low weight before I accept it. I thought I'd cracked it as saw 12 stone both Sat and Sunday, but this morning it was 13.1 again. Fluctuations don't bother me unless they are over a big boundary number, so this week I'm determined to be able to claim it.

ilovecherries · 16/10/2017 14:53

That's lovely of your DH, C4. Mine was similar - said he wasn't sure how to be supportive because he felt praising my weight loss might make me feel that he hadn't lusted after me before, but he did want to acknowledge how much it meant to ME. He suggested a few weeks back that I got myself to JL and bought a transitional wardrobe, which I'd been avoiding as I felt it was wasteful. (Given I bought a new size 22 wardrobe last year because I decided I needed to accept being fat and treat my body well, so none of that fits!) I bought stuff from hush and mint velvet because I think most of them will cover at least two sizes and see me through winter. Actually, have been very lucky as both DH, and my parents and grown up kids have been amazing. Cooking meals that work for me, eating whatever is put in front of them etc, not bringing stuff into the house.

ilovecherries · 16/10/2017 14:55

Basically, as soon as I went public, everyone has done their best to provide an optimal environment for me - without acting like the diet police, which I know can be a hard balance. I've been very fortunate with the support I've had.

C4rollinandventing · 16/10/2017 15:00

Carbydiem Go girl, we won't let you fail, tap into the support here and think about the end of this journey when your vegan friend will be begging for a slice of belly pork.

Very, Holger, wecan'tallbeperfect Thank YouFlowers He has his moments but I haven't forgotten him forgetting the bag with all my medication in when we were flying to Denmark.

Mimosa I don't know what I'm going to get, I don't need to dress exclusively in leggings and tunics to hide my huge belly. I love Joe Browns, White Stuff for casual but also like Nancy Mac dresses, hush, phase eight for smarter stuff. I will report back later in the week.

C4rollinandventing · 16/10/2017 15:02

Ilovecherries thank you too

HolgerDanske · 16/10/2017 15:05

Ohhh dear, I don't know all the back story but yes that probably was about a million minus points for him........ At least he's now earnt a few points back. Grin

So it was you who went to the wedding in Denmark? I loved reading about that - I am Danish and often get very homesick, even though I feel very happy and settled here too.

prettybird · 16/10/2017 15:11

Ilovecherries - to be fair on me and the weight I posted Wink - I had seen 13stone 1lb a few times in the last week and 13stone 2lb ditto. So I was damned if I was recording 13stone 3lb today! Grin

prettybird · 16/10/2017 15:13

....and we'll breach that 13 stone barrier together! Smile

ilovecherries · 16/10/2017 15:24

We have really shadowed each other through this entire process, haven't we. Hopefully we can both celebrate a solid entry into the 12s next week. I think the last time I was that weight was 1989 Shock. Although I was a lot smaller then, I was very active and sporty, not flabby at all. But this time round, my flabby bits will embrace that weight Grin
