I love this week, because this is when all the naysayers and doubters realise that this WOE really works!

(... and those who've cheated realise that that really doesn't work Wink)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to record your first loss

I missed most of this weekend as I have my very lovely SIL staying with us, prior to her leaving for a 6 month stint in Australia. So I haven't been able to be as glued to the laptop as I am usually.

Glad to hear that some of you have reported in good losses already - I'll look forward to hearing the rest today!

Good luck everyone, for this second week. Hopefully after a good first week you'll know it's worth it Flowers

Chair tea is a great idea sayrra

I've just had a small mug of almond milk and a splash of cream, heated until really hot with a small tea spoon of real cocoa. It was nice actually and I could take it to bed and snuggle down with it. I've got a really long day tomorrow at a sports festival all day so want an early night. Also dh and dd1 are watching Kingsman which looks Not My Type Of movie. So I am in be with antiques roadshow and my fake cocoa Grin

CremeDeSudo · 22/10/2017 20:29

Ok a these celeriac lovers who don't like celery..I tried celeriac before but wasn't keen. I'm tempted to try it again however. Which of these celeriac uses would convert me?

Scabbersley · 22/10/2017 20:30

chai tea Grin

Chair tea doesn't sound very nice

Mimosa1 · 22/10/2017 20:35

Clear I know exactly what you mean. I've had lots of family and friends tell me I've lost weight, and starting to feel "done" but my DH sent round a hideous pic of me over the weekend to a family WhatsApp group and when I said something he said don't be silly that's a nice picture (!) plus I'm used to rewarding myself with food which is silly. Oh dear. I AM finding this woe the easiest diet I've been on - genuinely not hungry while losing so will just KOKO.

Ilove i made the cauliflower cheese today and it was gorgeous thanks for the recipe. I added some nutmeg and whole grain mustard and it was fab.

Apologies for missing it but I've searched the spreadsheet (admittedly on mobile) and I can't see where it provides the volume of water you should drink according to your weight. Would someone be kind enough to tell me what tab I should look at? Thank you.

OuaisMaisBon · 22/10/2017 20:38

CremeDeSudo, if you don't mind going slightly carbier than normal and using tomatoes, try making celeriac bravas and if you like hot stuff, you can use lots of chilli, which will mask the taste of the celeriac!
Otherwise, I love celeriac gratin made with lots of butter, garlic, rosemary and with grated cheese on top.

SayrraT · 22/10/2017 20:44

mimosa tab is bootcamp rules, rule 6 (row 17).

Moanranger · 22/10/2017 20:50

Used a ketosis stick this morning and am defo in. Looking forward to WI tomorrow.
I have just found coconut oil (solid) in a nifty 10 pack for £1 at Asda. Each square is 25g.
Sure beats gouging it out of a jar with a spoon & guessing quantity. Grin

Mimosa1 · 22/10/2017 20:54

Thanks Sayers! I've been woefully under drinking, and feeling v smug with the 1.5 litres ive been having. Looks like I need double that. Right, next week that's what I'll do and see if it makes a difference.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 22/10/2017 20:54

I chicken soup I made was delicious I added half a lemon to it and as well . I couldn’t blend it as blender is packed away in storage ready for our kitchen extension work!!!

BIWI · 22/10/2017 21:01

Flowers @prettybird - it's not like you to sound so low!

You know the drill, though - this is a marathon not a sprint. And you're doing really well!

I know exactly the feeling though. It can feel so frustratingly slow to see the weight drop on the scales.

But KOKO with all of us and we'll see you home!

I just craved and had a bit of cheese and then although I know it’s not really what we are supposed to do I stuck today MFP as it just seems like adding all this butter and cream I must be consuming about a billion calories.

Turns out that with the cheese it takes me up to almost exactly 1200 calories. It’s really amazing that my body seems to know what it needs and regulate itself on this diet when I have always struggled with portion control and bingeing. It really is amazing!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 22/10/2017 21:29

If I haven't had a proper "whoosh" by the end of a month of strict BC, then I'll probably re-think and go boring calorie counting low carb and low fat.

Best wishes on that woe, Ouiais. No cheesy celeriac for you, then! Grin

Lenl · 22/10/2017 21:40

I had an NSV today. Baby was sick all over my top so I'm rooting through my wardrobe for something else and most of my stuff is in the wash as nothing will dry in the damp weather. I have a bunch of tops that fit me around the 185lb/190lb mark (that I've stubbornly kept all through the 245lb years and the 220lb years)... anyway I knew one was looser fitting than the rest so I thought now I'm at about 205lbs I'd try it... and it fit fine! I mean I find it hard to wear anything not baggy as you can then see my tummy rolls and this is more fitted. But it does fit when it was far too tight before.

Not convinced there will be a loss tomorrow as still recovering from eating a dessert last weekend but it is going back down to where it was at the start which something I guess. Good luck all

BIWI · 22/10/2017 21:47

@OuisMaisBon

I'm anticipating no loss, and perhaps even a small gain, tomorrow and am somewhat pissed off about it. If I haven't had a proper "whoosh" by the end of a month of strict BC, then I'll probably re-think and go boring calorie counting low carb and low fat. I'm particularly peeved since I have soooooo much weight to lose that you'd have thought it would have dropped off me, at least in the first couple of weeks! Maybe exercise would make all the difference, I must try to go swimming from tomorrow.

Stop being so negative! You've only been doing this for two weeks, and you don't even know what the scales are going to tell you tomorrow!

You need to stick at it. You put the weight on gradually so you're not going to lose it quickly.

nomore genius with the lemon. How is the extension getting on?

hippa thanks for the C4 update. Fingers crossed all will be OK.

I'm still low on water. It's harder in cold weather to drink enough. I'm trying. Drinking hot fruit tea to compensate and too much creamy coffee. Also when I'm thirsty, instead of taking a sip of water, I chug back a large glass.

Scales showed me back to start of bc album hoping not to show a gain tomorrow. To be fair my initial weigh in was after a hideous stomach upset where I was lighter after having the runs for several days so it was an artificial low.

Had delicious scrambled eggs, fresh parsley and butter and spinach for breakfast. breaded buttermilk chicken breast and salad for lunch and fajita fillings for dinner (with added oil, sour cream and guac for fat).

and a square of dark choc

I know. I know.

starsky22 · 22/10/2017 22:50

Good luck tomorrow everyone! Had celeriac dauphinoise last night for the first time and it was aMAzing! Would definitely recommend it, you can't beat cream and garlic! And I have loads leftover for lunches, yum!

Today:
B fasting
L 2 chicken thighs, celeriac dauphinoise & cabbage
D pork chop, cauli cheese & cabbage

YoLoNovVitMe · 22/10/2017 22:51

Don't know where that album came from Confused

GeneandFred · 22/10/2017 22:51

Can someone let me know what nsv is and also koko? I'm new to this.

ponygirlcarcass · 22/10/2017 22:54

Back from my weekend away and man there was a lot of eating! But I made good choices for all of the meals.
L: caeser salad (no croutons but bacon and anchovies as well as chicken)
D: pate to start (no oatcakes), then slow-cooked beef in a creamy peppercorn sauce, extra veg instead of potatoes, cheeseboard to finish (no oatcakes)
B: bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, half a sausage
L: (starting to flag at this point, not used to eating so much) creamy fish chowder (picked out all the potato chunks) and a beautiful sidesalad with fennel in, which I normally don't like.
After all that I could not face dinner. I know I made bootcamp-friendly choices but still worried the sheer volume of food hasn't mucked things up!

ilovecherries · 22/10/2017 22:56

Gene. NSV is non-scale victory and KOKO is keep on keeping on. Welcome :)

ponygirlcarcass · 22/10/2017 22:56

It's Non-scales victory and keep on keeping on.

GeneandFred · 22/10/2017 23:08

Thanks both. Makes sense now!

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 22/10/2017 23:44

Thanks for asking Yolo I love using lemons quire a bit in cooking - I noticed when we’ve been to Cyprus they have them a lot with their meals
The work on the extension is happening, at last. The conservatory has been dismantled and we’ve sold it on Facebook the footings are being dug out and should be finished this week. We still have a kitchen - apart from half of our stuff being in storage. It’s almost business as usual despite feeling in limbo

prettybird · 22/10/2017 23:59

I forgot to put the Smile at the end of my post Grin

It was meant to be inspirational (as Cleareyes understood!) that even though sometimes it feels like an awful long road to travel - that really there isn't another option other than KOKO. Smile

In 7 months time (my 20th wedding anniversary), I can have continued to lose weight and be at or close to target, or I can have given up and stayed the weight I am now or more

I know which one I choose Smile

The only other alternative is to go on to Strictly Come Dancing and lose weight and tone up because of all the training Grin Unfortunately, I am not famous enough which, lovely as it would be, is highly unlikely never going to happen! Grin The Shred is the best I can manage! Wink

YoLoNovVitMe · 23/10/2017 00:01

nomore Sold your conservatory on Facebook! You could not have convinced me 5 years ago that this could happen. God I feel old!! Shock
