Morning campers

Here's the spreadsheet

So we start our last two weeks. Let's get really focused - think about the food you're eating, pinpoint any carb creep and eliminate that cheating!

If it helps, post what you're eating each day. Or even consider going back to strict Bootcamp for the last fortnight!

Flowers

Good luck to everyone

@ilovecherries - I feel your pain! And I hope very much that the hotel were able to make you a lovely, low carb fry up this morning

secretsignal · 22/07/2017 21:04

Heman I love your food list, I want to eat it all. Immediately.
Also loving all the pics posted, it's great to see the changes in body shape and the positivity and confidence it's bringing.

prettybird · 22/07/2017 21:09

Yolo - I love fennel seeds and salt rubbed on to pork before roasting. Makes for a really tasty crackling and meat. Pound them in a mortar and pestle beforehand if you can be bothered.

Imstyledilemma · 22/07/2017 21:48

I can't believe that next week is the last week! Shock

This Low Carb Bootcamp has taught me that I do better when I'm part of a group.

secretsignal · 22/07/2017 22:23

Swerved fish and chips followed by choc pud at MILs today, to looks of confusion and disgust. Took my own m&s cheese and ham rolly things and prawn cocktail and was determined to stick to plan but felt like a freak. Feeling sorry for myself so have now hit the Greek yog and Sauvignon blanc. At least it's mainly LC. Better go to bed before it gets any worse.

C4pinkwheels · 22/07/2017 22:38

Loads of catching up to do, this thread is so chatty and supportive.

Well today has been an adventure, really enjoyed the day, didn't enjoy the rain which started at 3:30 and got heavier and heavier the later it got. We left along with two thirds of the festival goers at 9:00pm due to hypothermia and wet clothes.

I wasn't a carby twat with the exception of a hot chocolateGrin

Veryflummoxed · 22/07/2017 22:45

My goodness. I'm about to go to sleep and just read Heman's favourite food lists and seen IloveCherries food porn. Now I'm hungry Grin

Sounds like you deserved that hot chocolate C4

ilovecherries · 22/07/2017 23:34

You look gorgeous, Bibs.

YoLoZammo · 23/07/2017 01:49

Sorry for late replies. I have had a manic evening.

heman I would never have thought to put rosemary with pork. It's a good idea. Not interested in a full roast dinner. Cba and need something easy.

YoLoZammo · 23/07/2017 01:55

And yes, fennel. But i dont have any in Sad

I have no idea what cut of meat. It's just a roasting pork joint from t'supermarket.

How about orange and cloves? Or is thst too Christmassy?

ClearEyesFullHearts · 23/07/2017 06:32

bibs that dress is terrific on you. I came this close to buying the pink versiononly £15 after all!then remembered I have a completely different body shape and it would not suit me at all.

Am longing for a little cut out back, though. Sigh. It's such a playful feature.

I'm up early and struggling for any motivation or energy. Just want to sit and watch old films on telly. Luckily, I have zero obligations today. Maybe I'll just take a day off life.

MOIST · 23/07/2017 08:05

Bibs. Dress is lovely. Beaut colour.

I am a carby twat. 2 nights out in a row. Too much booze. Now I'm on bloody bastard nights.

cathyandclare · 23/07/2017 08:33

Fabulous pictures Ragz C4 Old Jiminy and Bibs

I LOVE that dress! What's warehouse sizing like? Please say generous Grin

I'm at my lowest weight this BC, only by 0.4lb but I'll take that. I'm enjoying a creamy coffee and I've got Cajun spiced pork slow cooking in in the oven, we'll have pulled pork with salad and coleslaw later.

Add the in-laws over for a BBQ yesterday and everyone had the Oppo ice-cream, it was a big hit.

starsky22 · 23/07/2017 10:02

Yes have a day off cleareyes everyone needs that now and again.

I was up in the night with DS2 and woke up exhausted, but DH took the kids downstairs and I managed to get back to sleep and slept until 9.30 am! Was amazing!

prettybird · 23/07/2017 10:24

Had a nice supper last night with king prawns, shallots & garlic, a can of chopped tomatoes, a can of butter beans and feta crumbled over.

Gave myself fewer butter beans (and more prawns Smile) than dh and ds, so probably only 6g of carbs from them (whole can was 30.6g) Their portion was also served with rice but I had mine on its own and it was lovely and filling. Still a portion left over.

Because of the butter beans, I won't put the recipe on the recipe thread Blush

HemanOrSheRa · 23/07/2017 10:57

Morning Sad. Oof. I got a little carried away last night. White wine is the devil's juice. I had a lovely time chatting with all the doggy owners who, like me, were sat outside on the decking area with their pooches. Lots of doggy cuddles Smile and a very interesting conversation with a nice lady about holiday cruises. Then I found a little girl wandering around outside, she was lost, so DS and his mate took the dog back to the caravan while I took her into the clubhouse and plonked her on the bar Grin. Once I'd sorted that out it all went slightly wrong - I wandered out through a different exit and got completely lost in the caravan park BlushGrin. I was wandering around for AGES. DS had to come and rescue me in my slightly tiddly and confuddled state. The shame Blush.

I think I'm going to rustle up a fry up for late breakfast/brunch.

Have you decided what you are cooking Zammo? I'd roast the pork studded with garlic and oregano if you have any. Then maybe serve with jacket spuds and/or pitta, Greek salad, coleslaw and salad. Sort of a Greek style souvlaki type thing.

Bibs2014 · 23/07/2017 11:17

cathy - yes generous sizing so go for it! With your figure you'd look fab!

ragz134 · 23/07/2017 12:36

Brunch - slice of chicken stroganoff omelette. Bowl of yogurt and cream with raspberries.
Dinner plan - spicy meatballs, aubergine and kale.

Getting fed up with all my clothes... Not much fits but I'm loathe to buy more as I still have 21lbs to go. However, I know that could take the rest of the year to shift... What to do?!

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 23/07/2017 12:38

Right I'm caught up! Thanks for all the great food ideas and advice about the dizzy spells, I do have fairly low blood pressure anyway so could be that too. I do need to take a magnesium supplement any way as it helps my back, I've also got a spray magnesium oil which might help. I barely use salt, years of believing it's really bad for me! But will start to. Yesterday was a bit of a write off due to elderly neighbours wake and cheese scones...but back on it today.

Brunch sausage, mushrooms and spinach in butter.
D. Will be a pie mix we made months ago from the freezer so I think it's chicken, cream, leeks etc. Will do it with pie crust for the others and without for me. Plus mushroms and courgettes and spinach. Others can have fruit crumble I'll just have a few berries and cream.
Aldi have been doing a coconut flour and coconut sugar, not sure what to do with them but I bought them anyway! Also I keep seeing recipes with almond butter, can't find it locally though, normal unsalted would be ok though wouldn't it?

Cherrypi · 23/07/2017 12:40

Right.
B: cream cheese pancakes with cinnamon and half a creamy coffee
S: half a nectarine
L: meatballs, cucumber and cheese
Creamy coffee
T: pork belly and broccoli
Clotted cream.

I think where I'm going wrong is trying to substitute my normal food for low carb alternative which aren't as good. I think I'd be better excepting I can't eat certain foods at all. I also have lost the self hatred I need to force me to lose weight I think. Maybe I should read some women's magazines ha ha.

C4pinkwheels · 23/07/2017 13:09

C4 checking in, I slept like a log and still feel tired now. Got up late and missed breakfast

L yogurt with berries
D chicken, courgettes, green beans

Naschkatze · 23/07/2017 14:40

Youcan't Depending on the recipe, I don't think substituting almond butter with normal butter will work. I think you'd need peanut butter, obviously one of the ones with no added sugar.

FinallyHere · 23/07/2017 14:57

Loving the photographs, everyone, even though I'm very, very glad that I didn't see everyone else 'til I had been going quite a while on LCHF. I know there is no point comparing but.....

I know what you mean about clothes ragz: loath to buy more as I still have 21lbs to go. I am about there too and have loads of clothes just waiting for me to fit into them. On the way, though, I treated myself to a new bra, because it was really, really necessary and it felt like a reward for sticking to the new WOE. Goodness knows, that it really is no penance. I feel so much better for this WOE that, if it did make me put on weight but feel better, I would be really ton.

New underpinnings made me feel better about myself, which might helped me with better posture. I feel it made a hugh difference to the look of my tops, too as it was a halfway to new clothes treat.

ilovecherries · 23/07/2017 15:05

youcan't, most supermarkets sell almond butter (in jars beside the peanut butter). Sorry if you know that, but my DH spent ages looking for almond butter in the chilled section the other day, before phoning me for help!

Cherrypi, I made the decision in week 3 not to do substitutions - I realised all I would be doing is thinking about what I couldn't have, and I never believed that a slice of flaxseed bread would really compensate for fresh sourdough. I'm better just not thinking about bread/pasta/pizza/cake and doing my own thing.

Ragz, I'm in the situation of nothing fitting but a long way to go as well, but I'm determined not to look like crap during the transition because part of this entire process for me is about self esteem. I'm just getting some supermarket basics, wearing a lot of jersey trousers and a couple of wrap dresses that will bridge at least two sizes.
