Week 9 - Summer Low Carb Bootcamp - let's get focused!

Morning campers

Here's the spreadsheet

So we start our last two weeks. Let's get really focused - think about the food you're eating, pinpoint any carb creep and eliminate that cheating!

If it helps, post what you're eating each day. Or even consider going back to strict Bootcamp for the last fortnight!

Flowers

Good luck to everyone

@ilovecherries - I feel your pain! And I hope very much that the hotel were able to make you a lovely, low carb fry up this morning

Anyone else lose weight if they weigh again after breakfast or are my scales scuppered? I can't understand it.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 17/07/2017 09:52

Cherry - no, I get the opposite. Was going to post about it then forgot, because, according to my scales:

First thing weigh-in + 1 cup of coffee + few mouthfuls of water - (3 large poos + lots of wees) = gain of 2.25 lbs!!!!! That equates to over a litre of fluid without taking the losses into account, and I certainly didn't have that much between my two weigh-ins this morning!!!

I am eagerly waiting for some new batteries, mind. One day last week I gained about 3 lb just getting off and on the scales. I put a battery from my kitchen scales in, but I think they were nearing the end of their lives too, so I'm not convinced I'm getting accurate readings.

StarStarStar for secret, goodbad and YoLo!

prettybird · 17/07/2017 10:01

....depends on whether you've had a decent bowel movement inbetweentimes (TMI alert Blush) cherrypi Shock

2lb down for me to 14 stone - only one lb to go before I can book a cut'n'colour Grin (Promised myself one when I lost a stone).

On a more negative note: still 1 stone 2lb to go before I get into the "overweight" bracket in the BMI index Shock (Currently 14 stone 0lb and 5' 5")

Trying to remind myself that the BMI calculation is flawed and that I should go with how I feel. The top end of "normal" weight for me would supposedly be 10stone 11lb - at which point I in reality would be skinny.

YoLoZammo · 17/07/2017 10:12

Thanks oldbooks Smile

I have not lost much since the first two weeks of bc (when it all dropped off) and have gone up and down/stalled for ages so this week And on the whole I've been quite strict with my eating (minus a few minor aberrations), so it is a real victory for me. I'm in this for the long game though. Only 5 or 6 more stones to go Shock

Imstyledilemma · 17/07/2017 10:15

Still here!

What a week.
We had a minor family crisis which resulted in me going completely off piste food wise Blush so my weigh in is up by 2lbs.
Which I'm fairly pleased with considering the crap I've eaten.
Then to top it all off I had 'words' with some SW people and surprise surprise could no longer log on Shock
So, I now have a new user name.
Which means I can't log onto the spreadsheet and record my weight, but that's not important.
So, I'm still here, by the skin of my teeth. Despite fate's best efforts to thwart me and chuck me out.
Onwards and upwards! Grin

ps
I can see now why people want to keep in contact away from MN. Hmm

And now I'm off to have my breakfast

B - 2 egg omelette, cheese and butter. Back On It!!!

ilovecherries · 17/07/2017 10:32

Pretty the absolute top of the healthy BMI for me is 11 stone 6. I know I was fairly slender at that. The bottom is 8 stone 4 or 6 (can't exactly remember). But I DO know having been that weight after a terrible bereavement years ago that I was stick thin, my hair fell out and my periods stopped. But increasingly I see people talk about that as being a barely acceptable weight. Loads of people seem to want their bmi yo be in the underweight category. If I ever see 11 stone something again I will be turning cartwheels, and sod whatever Bmi says.

Imstyledilemma · 17/07/2017 10:40

My perfect BMI is the 10 stone mark, either 2pounds under or 2 pounds over.
I can get away with 9 1/2 stone, but anything under that and I struggle to maintain it.
I think the human body tries it's best to 'hover' around it's perfect BMI point.

Bibs2014 · 17/07/2017 10:41

Well done for reaching your goal weight, secret! I'd love to be that weight and had less to lose like you. Do you count calories?

1lb down for me, now 10st 8 Smile

HemanOrSheRa · 17/07/2017 10:47

Morning! You been causing trouble style Grin?

Veryflummoxed · 17/07/2017 10:49

It might not be strict bootcamp Goodbad but it appears to be working so well done

Oh well done Secret and other people's successes are inspiring. You must not apologise for them or feel mean

Well done to everyone doing well and Flowersfor those not so happy this morning.

Stunt its very reassuring to hear you talking about your slow weight loss in such a positive way. I've had to accept that a quick fix is definitely not going to happen for me but sometimes I find myself questioning whether I'm kidding myself about this WOE.

FinallyHere · 17/07/2017 10:56

Hurrah and congratulations secretsignal Halo (how secretsignal looks to me)

Imstyledilemma · 17/07/2017 11:02

Morning! You been causing trouble style grin?

Shock I think I'll stick round here from now on. Can't be doing with drama.
Kleptronic · 17/07/2017 11:07

I'm on holiday so can't weigh in. I'm not eating carbs (we have a dining package. There are So Many Delicious Carbs) but I AM drinking like a fish. Glug.

HemanOrSheRa · 17/07/2017 11:15

You stay here with us style Smile.

Ooh are you somewhere nice Klep? I've been moaning all morning about how I need my holiday to come now. I've had enough and need a break.

Imstyledilemma · 17/07/2017 11:21

Aww thanks Herman.

that's the only reason I wanted to get back on, was to be with you lot
((((((((()))))))))))))

and I'm determined to see this thing through to then end.
I've put 4lbs back on in 4 days, so I need these last 2 weeks to get back on track.

Imstyledilemma · 17/07/2017 11:23

It's back to basic bootcamp for me.
I feel like I've been sent to the naughty step Smile

I'm off to read the rules again.
Were we allowed cream on Basic? Hmm I hope so.

It'll make it more bearable.

ilovecherries · 17/07/2017 11:30

style, spent ages trying to work out how a fall out with social workers would get you chucked off MN. About an hour later, while mindlessly heading home, I realised you probably meant slimming world fans. Glad you are back, wouldn't be the same without you!

Kleptronic · 17/07/2017 11:39

I'm in Somerset Heman it's lovely weather! Butlins. I love Butlins!

ninnando · 17/07/2017 11:39

Well done to all you successful bc'ers. It's your successes that keep me going. I am rubbish at posting but I read every single post and absolutely love this bootcamp and identify with lots of issues.
I am 3.75 lbs down this morning after being away last week bringing a total loss of 9.5. I am a few weeks behind so just starting week 6 now.
It's been an absolute revelation and with 3 stones to lose I am just hoping to keep chipping away whilst eating lovely meals.
I will be joining ilovecherries turning cartwheels if - sorry when! - I see 11 stones on my scales.

AdalindSchade · 17/07/2017 12:02

Style, I got banned right before bootcamp for telling a woman it was sad that she felt the need to rip all the hair from her body. She was posting about how painful her wax had been, she had her fanny waxed but also her belly iirc and some other random body parts. Some huns objected to my 'robust' support and I got banned. Tbf I've been robust several times before and I think I had a rep for it so get myself reported more than most.
I begged to be let back early so I could do bootcamp and name changed. I've been trying to stay off other threads for the time being anyway!

OldBooks · 17/07/2017 12:18

style I have this on my fridge. Blue = enjoy, green = enjoy with caution, and blue box were BC light additions. There are probably veg missing off eg the slimy evil of mushrooms

Week 9 - Summer Low Carb Bootcamp - let's get focused!
Imstyledilemma · 17/07/2017 12:26

Adalinde Glad I'm not the only one it's happened to Smile

Old I'm making myself that list to put on the fridge. It's a good idea.

secretsignal · 17/07/2017 12:41

ASD, Old, flummoxed thankyou for your kind words you are all very lovely.
Bibs no I don't count calories, but I've pretty much stuck on BC rather than BC light. And I eat a lot of salad.
Finally sadly I'm far from Halo. I still have a very shrivelled and wobbly tummy. I'm going to try some more exercise to tone up, but I fear it may be a lost cause.

BIWI · 17/07/2017 12:57

Brilliant, @secretsignal! Please, please, please don't feel bad for doing so well. It's lovely to read such positive news Grin
