Great picture, @OldBooks! Enjoy the birthday
@Grah0SoontobeaFatty - I had no idea you were a bloke either! Not that it makes any difference, although perhaps when others started posting about boobs/bikinis etc it might have been nice to have said sooner
Re those coconut bars, I don't they're too bad - although I'd swap the stevia sweetened chocolate for high cocoa dark chocolate instead - if you used Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Belgian chocolate for cooking (from memory that's 76% cocoa), then it would work out at around 3g carbs per bar.
The whole recipe makes 6, and as long as you were only eating one at a time, overall it shouldn't be too bad.
@YoucantscaremeIhavechildren
I've been struggling with feeling light headed and dizzy a bit, I do get this sometimes anyway but it's happened a few times this week.
Electrolytes! How much salt are you using? Are you cooking with it/adding it to your food? Try getting hold of a magnesium supplement, and also look for sources of potassium - Lo-Salt is good. There is a low/zero carb electrolyte drink you can get hold of as well (can't remember what it's called) but see if you can find that.
And also you and @cherrypi, and anyone else who is claiming that you're bored - step back a bit. Think back to what you were eating before Bootcamp. If you genuinely think that that way of eating was more flexible, and more interesting, (whilst also giving you the chance of losing weight without being hungry all the time), then be my guest and go back to that WOE.
But IME and IMVHO this WOE is much more flexible and enjoyable - it's much easier to go out to eat (as long as you're not hanging out at pasta/pizza joints all the time!). If you're on a low fat or low calorie diet, practically everything you might choose at a restaurant will take you over whatever limit you've imposed on your day.
If this WOE isn't working for you from the point of view of weight loss, then look at what you've been eating and drinking honestly and make sure that you haven't allowed carb creep.
What are your portion sizes like? Whilst you can eat to satisfy yourself o a low carb diet, it isn't carte blanche to stuff your face! Perhaps it's time to consider cutting down?
If you can, hand on heart, say that you're following the rules, and you still aren't losing, then you could be one of the people for whom low carb just doesn't work.
But, when you say your weight is 'flatlining' what, exactly, do you mean? Have you seen no weight loss for more than 4 weeks? Or is it just that the rate of loss is slowing? Are your expectations unrealistic? If you're nearing your target, then weight loss will slow anyway. But you should be expecting a weekly loss of around 1-2lbs.
If you're just bored because you're not a very good or imaginative cook - sorry, I can't help you
- but go and read through the recipe thread for some inspiration any way.
Sorry for the mammoth post - this may be my only one this weekend. I finished work last night, was having a very enjoyable dinner with my colleagues who are also here with me, waiting for DH to arrive - only to hear that his flight was first seriously delayed and then cancelled. So once he gets here he won't be too pleased if I'm on MN all weekend!
