Morning all

Flowers

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness once more

So the finish line is almost in sight. I see from the last thread that some of you have been struggling to stay on track - just three more weeks to go, so stay focused.

That 'it's only one piece of bread/one glass of beer' moment really isn't worth it. Been there, got the t-shirt.

If you're bored with the food - there are two things that could help you. Firstly, think back to the last time you were doing a low calorie/low fat diet - how awful was it to have to scavenge the shelves looking for something low calorie enough, and how often were you eating food that didn't actually taste that nice, but delivered only on the basis of being low calorie? Rice cakes that might as well be polystyrene ceiling tiles, for example!

And then go and read the recipe thread for some inspiration, and find something new to cook. There's nothing on there that's difficult to do.

I'd also say that I see a lot of you are trying to recreate things that are high carb - pizza or bread, for example. These things are very unlikely to be the same, or as nice, as the high carb versions. And all the time you're trying to recreate something you're missing, you're just reminding yourself that you're missing something!

So try not to do this, but focus on things that are beautifully low carb and that you can enjoy for their own taste and benefits.

Here's to a successful week for us all.

Yolo - He is on Instagram, not Pinterest.
Adalind - aha, I may be able to convince DH to try cauliflower then, he's quite competitive when it comes to omelettes so if I tell him someone else is doing it he may be tempted!

HemanOrSheRa · 16/07/2017 21:43

Mmmmm. Meatzza! It's seasoned beef mince pressed into a pizza shape and baked then you top it with pizza toppings of your choice and bake again. It's gorgeous!

secretsignal · 16/07/2017 22:02

Oh my goodness that sounds awesome! Have just found the Nigella recipe for it, yum!!

MOIST · 16/07/2017 22:05

Oh god. I thought my life couldn't get much better after fathead pizza but that sounds A Maz zing!

YoLoZammo · 16/07/2017 22:11

cherries you poor thing. Hopefully it'll be a full English in the morning.

Ragz doh. Blush . I will check out Instagram then. I'm looking for eggy ideas. Eggspiration if you will Wink. See what I did there?

Thanks oldbooks. I'm not very social media savvy. Can you tell? Lol.

YoLoZammo · 16/07/2017 22:15

Has anyone got a recipe for making pizza without the dough base? What do you use instead?

YoLoZammo · 17/07/2017 00:21

Here you are user pin.it/AK8lQSx

Thanks Grin

littlebillie · 17/07/2017 06:51

3lb up today 😩

ASDismynormality · 17/07/2017 06:52

2lb gain this week, not happy!

MOIST · 17/07/2017 07:11

I'm about the same which is fine after holiday carby twatness. And I'm back on it properly.

OldBooks · 17/07/2017 07:14

I am 2lbs up as well. Currently indulging in some woe-is-me self hatred, recrimination and making threats to myself

Craftypuss · 17/07/2017 07:26

.9lb off - better than I thought, as I'd written last week's numbers down wrong!! Would dearly like to be under 190lb before the end of bootcamp, though this seems unlikely. Just have to keep on trying.
One thing that really hit me this week: this is a way of eating/living, not a punishment. It's not meant to make me feel guilty or left out - I have to find ways to work with this WOE, not fight it!
Ah well, the sun is shining... off we go again.

CodLiverOil556 · 17/07/2017 07:28

2.2lbs down today, am now at 150lbs I've not been this light since way before kids. Target for SW is 147lbs so hopefully won't be long til I get a shiny sticker (only going as I've already paid and supporting another lady)

KOKO everyone, the end is in sight Grin

FinallyHere · 17/07/2017 07:34

ilovecherries. Sounds like a horrendous journey, but I'm loving the idea of getting naked to stop yourself getting more to eat.

ilovecherries · 17/07/2017 07:35

Slightly ashamed of my tantrum about food yesterday considering the state of a large portion of the world's population, plus the fact I could probably live off my fat stores for a month :(. It's a cold breakfast of juice, cereals, pastries, bread etc. Apparently it's impossible for them to supply me even with cold meat and eggs. Heading off to the Tesco I spotted last night while trying to find this place in the hope they have a cafe.

SayrraT · 17/07/2017 07:35

Well done kermit Grin

Sorry for those of you who gained, maybe just take a look back and see if you can spot anything you did that might contribute to the gain.

Common things are:

Cheating Grin even just a wee bit
Not eating enough fat
Water retention (period related)
Water retention (exercise related)
Carb creep (accidentally eating too many carbs in the form of "allowed" but higher carb foods)
Alcohol

I've been well organised and have made muself 5 wee boxes of veg for everyday this week.

ragz134 · 17/07/2017 07:37

1lb down here, happy with that as last week was a gain.

SayrraT · 17/07/2017 07:37

cherries it wasn't a tantrum! I think most of us would have been upset by that! Rubbish breakfast offerings too, hope Tesco has a cafe.

ASDismynormality · 17/07/2017 07:40

SayrraT. I wish I had cheated, was so tempted to have a piece of cake that as I have had a gain this week I wish I just had done!
From your list I think it's most likely exercise related water retention. I always drop weight the day my period starts and it didn't happen this month (started Saturday). I'm going to sulk about it today but still KOKO.

SayrraT · 17/07/2017 07:43

Except ASD it might have been a bigger gain then!

OldBooks · 17/07/2017 07:48

Probably a little carb creep for me in the form of dark choc. I have no off switch and can eat a big 90% bar in one go if I let myself. Also too many almond milk hot chocolates. AF is in week 3 so shouldn't be retaining water from that and don't do exercise. No cheating at all.

I am realising that I have a choice. The weight can come off slowly, very slowly but surely, if I allow carb creep. Or I can stay on strict BC and lose it a tiny bit faster. Either way my body is not letting go of this fat without a fight Sad
