Morning campers!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some good losses reported already this morning!

Four weeks left, so we could still see a good half stone disappear if we're vigilant.

The hot weather looks like it's disappearing this week, so hopefully anyone still struggling with water retention should find some relief.

But good luck to us all

wombat wedding dress isn't ordered or even tried on yet! Going at the end of September to try some on, hope to be in the 14st bracket by then and in a size 16 comfortably, possibly a 14.

I'd love to be in a size 12 dress in the day, so a 1 size difference should be fixable. Apparently you can adjust most dresses down 3 sizes and up 1 Confused

StuntNun · 26/06/2017 11:35

Jim I heard they sew extra materials into the seams of wedding dresses to make them easy to adjust. I remember the lady that sold me my wedding dress was annoyed because I hadn't lost weight before the wedding. She was probably hoping to make a bit of extra cash for the adjustment.

ShastaBeast · 26/06/2017 11:45

Wooo. I'm on a roll. Missed the weigh in last week as I was feeling negative. I did it midweek and was down 2lb but only recorded 1lb. Another 2lb down today so I've added the extra 1lb from last week.

Except I'm weighing on the Wii which I don't trust. After boot camp I'll buy some batteries for the bathroom scales and do it properly - it has a fat percentage thing which I need to figure out, so it is more useful than just weight as I'm working out too, building muscle. Either way I'm still down 10lb in total since stating - straight after stuffing myself with chocolate on Easter weekend.

I'm a few weeks ahead and can show anyone struggling that stalls can go on forever but do pay off. I lost 1lb in over a month before losing 4lb in two weeks.

I was losing faith and my carbs have crept up a little, especially with nausea and the hot weather. I suspect I will go up a little after this weekend. I'm back on it right now! I need to get more food ideas too as I'm getting sick of my previous favourites.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 26/06/2017 11:48

C4, when was the last time you did low carb (with your 15lb weight loss after this many weeks)?

And we're you more mobile at the time?

ClearEyesFullHearts · 26/06/2017 11:48

Ps--you have a beautiful figure.

NamelessEnsign · 26/06/2017 11:52

Hi guys, chaos at work today so just enough time to find you and say kudos to those who have lost weight and condolences to those who haven't.

Scales not especially kind this morning but in general I know I am about half a stone lighter than six weeks ago, my skin, nails, and hair are looking healthier, and my next half stone is just there waiting to fall off if I KOKO!

cabbage67 · 26/06/2017 12:10

Well done to all you losers and KOKO to those of us who haven't had the results were hoping for.

Jim that is incredible C4 I agree with everyone else that you look slimmer in the second photo

Way to go me with my 0.2lb weight loss! (thats sarcasm in case you didn't notice)

Thats only 1.4lbs since we started. Confused

I cut out cream and yoghurt a week ago and have reduced my cheese intake. That hasn't worked so might as well go back on the cream.

I did have a few proseccos on Friday night and an Indian, but shared a mixed grill and brinji bhaji. I didn't touch the rice, naan or poppadoms.

I have just done day 6 of The Shred and ran 4.5km with the dog this morning.

AF did arrive yesterday so am hoping that might be buggering things up. I was 2lbs lighter on Friday morning Angry

Oh, and I also did IF twice last week.

I WILL KOKO

secretsignal · 26/06/2017 12:23

After last weeks stall, I am 3.4lb down this week. That's 12lb since the start of boot camp, I still can't quite believe it's possible to eat such delicious, deprivation-free food and still lose, it's a revelation! I wish I'd found this woe years ago. Still, I'm v grateful to have found it now!

wombattoo · 26/06/2017 12:58

secret that is a great loss Star
Mandelinka It's no trouble at all. Now up to date.

wombattoo · 26/06/2017 13:00

cannage stick with it. The rewards will be yours! Did you start a bit later than bootcamp?

wombattoo · 26/06/2017 13:00

cabbage Doh. Blush

AdalindSchade · 26/06/2017 13:02

cabbage the wine and curry will have caused water retention. As others have said you can't have a cheat on this woe without seeing gains on the scales for quite a while after.

FinallyHere · 26/06/2017 13:07

Congratulations, starksy on seeing temptation and just ignoring it. The feeling when I do that is my absolute favourite (well, one of 'em) in all the world.

OldBooks · 26/06/2017 13:11

jiminny those photos are amazing, and that is only 7lbs loss?

C4 there is definitely a difference, as others have said your tummy is getting squishy.

YoLo, I love your post, full of optimism and enthusiasm

May I make a possibly controversial suggestion? Next BC, do we have to have the spreadsheet and weigh-ins? Obviously people can weigh as much or as little as they like & the spreadsheet isn't compulsory, but it feels really important and then like we spend a lot of time explaining temporary gains, water retention, af due, worrying about stalls and getting despondent or even giving up because of scales not moving enough. Yet as we know it doesn't matter and doesn't reflect the true benefits, the NSVs etc. A lot of us are in it for a long haul which isn't supported by the short termism of a weekly weigh in.

Maybe next BC we could do monthly or beginning, middle and end?

Just musing and happy to be shot down in flames. I am eating goats cheese salad drenched in olive oil, all is well with the world

MOIST · 26/06/2017 13:15

Morning.

1lb off. still fat but my skin is looking good.

MOIST · 26/06/2017 13:16

This week I'm out for dinner on Wednesday and Friday. Will eat first then attempt to avoid carby shit.

AdalindSchade · 26/06/2017 13:20

I like the weekly weigh ins tbh. You could always update yourself monthly if that suits you better? It looks like lots of people don't update the spreadsheet anyway.

JiminnyCricket · 26/06/2017 13:23

oldbooks yep! That's just 7lbs. The first photo I posted on the first day of this bootcamp, second one was this morning!

Just had a chuckle, check out my drinks laid out for the afternoon Grin

1 litre water
500ml green tea
500ml coffee with coconut cream
All to be polished off before 16:30!

ilovecherries · 26/06/2017 13:24

We've arrived :) :). It's hot! Changed into shorts and sleeveless vest in airport toilets. Had travelled in linen trousers and the vest with a shirt on top, but I just thought, FFS, lighten up, no one cares. Certainly feeling more comfortable. Haven't eaten yet and we've got a fair drive to the villa we've rented so stopped by Eroski for some ham, babybels and water to keep me going. Others had breakfast in the airport at home, and have bought pastries for the journey so I'm feeling very Halo.

ilovecherries · 26/06/2017 13:27

Oh - and I had about 8 inches spare on the seatbelt. Always a terrible fear of mine. Although I think Jet2 do have quite long seatbelts, as I was ok last year as well - although didn't have anywhere near 8 inches spare.

prettybird · 26/06/2017 13:42

I actually like the spreadsheet. Helps keep me on the straight and narrow Wink.

I understand about stalls but it helps keep me focussed so if I stall for too long, I know I need to review what I'm eating (even if I've still maintained the HFLC WOE, have I also been eating extra HFLC through boredom/comfort rather than listening to hunger cues), am I having enough water, am I being active enough or going to bed early enough?

L238 · 26/06/2017 14:01

Not weighed this morning as woke late and in a mad rush. Will do tomorrow.
Everyone seems to be doing really well! Flowers some great pics too.
Weirdly I was not at all hungry last night and this morning - cooked a lovely meal of pork belly and cauli mash for Sunday dinner but couldn't eat more than a few bites. Most unusual.
Just black coffee for breakfast, flax bread with pate (homemade with lots of butter and some cream Smile) and cucumbers for lunch. Leftovers for dinner I suppose
It's not much cooler here yet but I think it'll break tomorrow! Feel a bit waterlogged too but aiming to drink lots today

FinallyHere · 26/06/2017 14:01

Hi Oldbooks I so understand where you are coming from. I tend to either ignore the spreadsheet, or as I have had the courage to try on this BC, just record start and end weights. I use a set of 'scales' at work, called www.boditrax.com (hope that doesn't take anyone else straight to my account) I gather lots of gyms have them now. While they cannot be absolutely accurate, they do give a separate reading for weight of water, fat and 'everything else' broken down into individual arms, legs and trunk. It's very encouraging to notice the weight of fat melt faster than the rest.

I still only weigh once a month or so. I'm just not strong enough or comfortable enough with my results to weigh any more frequently. I'm afraid that a bad result might just time me over the edge.

Maybe, just maybe when i get to my target range (i used to say if, but I am confident that this WOE and the support around it, is going to do it for me OK), I might use the scales to check any drift upwards but meanwhile, once a month is fine for me. Even so, I always take my ( very small, lightweight) earrings off before stepping on the scales and wear the same lightweight outfit every time I step on the scales. Avoirdupois has quite an influence on my psyche. Im looking forward to being in my target range exactly so that this influence is at least somewhat lessened and I can feel more self motivated.

Don't have any trouble with others doing whatever works for them, but weekly or even shudder daily weighing is not for me just yet.

JiminnyCricket · 26/06/2017 14:52

Had a horrible call this morning Sad my dad was taken into hospital last night, suspected bowel obstruction.

I'm convinced it's his gallbladder though because exactly the same thing happened to me 8 years ago and they initially misdiagnosed me with a miscarriage Hmm the fact I was 18 and doubled up on contraception, not bleeding and had just had a normal period didn't seem to dissuade them.. until they gave me an ultrasound and found 26 grape sized gallstones roaming about in my abdomen and a very off looking gall bladder Hmm

Nipped into surgery and was gallbladder free and coming around 4 hours later!

Weirdly, exactly the same thing happened to my grandad, exactly the same symptoms and they initially thought his was an obstructed bowel too and now it looks like my dad might be having the same thing Confused

Me and grandad both had what felt like trapped wind after dinners for a few weeks, then one day an almighty pain in the tummy, collapse and a blue light trip to a and e.. dads had exactly the same symptoms. Bad tummy for a few weeks, then last night the poor bloke collapsed.

I've bet dad a fiver that's what it is, although he's currently so doped up on mophine I'm planning to convince him it was a £20 bet Grin

All I want to do is dive head first into biscuits, skip the gym and go and see him Sad
