Morning campers!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some good losses reported already this morning!

Four weeks left, so we could still see a good half stone disappear if we're vigilant.

The hot weather looks like it's disappearing this week, so hopefully anyone still struggling with water retention should find some relief.

But good luck to us all

Morning all Grin

Today is day 140 for me, so 20 weeks of this woe. I started at 15st Shock (I'm only 5ft 1in) At 100 days I was 23lb down, today I'm 31lb down at 12st 11lb. There's no doubt about it, I'm still very chunky. But, I feel soooo much better and that's more than half the battle for me.

Thank you all for your contributions to BC, it really makes a difference knowing others feel the same as you and that a crap day doesn't mean the end of everything - it's just a blip.

Flowers KOKO x

cathyandclare · 26/06/2017 08:26

Just checked and it's 8g Chester

AdalindSchade · 26/06/2017 08:27

Tried bullet proof coffee this morning. It's ok! Tastes like coffee with cream but smells like coconut!

B- BPC, 2 fried eggs
L- avocado and hard boiled egg salad
D- veggie sausages and vegetables, yoghurt and blueberries

PlymouthMaid1 · 26/06/2017 08:27

Scales are moving I think but fluctuate so wildly that I am reluctant to log it. However I have lost at least seven pounds since we started. I never lose quickly so this is fine for me.

bellalurgy · 26/06/2017 08:28

Forgot food!

I don't usually eat breakfast but I'm having a scan at 3.30 and am not allowed to eat for 6hrs before. I thought I'd have a couple of boiled eggs at 9.30 and then just have dinner early.

B - boiled eggs
D - pork and veg
creamy coffee and some yoghurt if wanted later

boldlygoingsomewhere · 26/06/2017 08:37

Half an inch off my waist and round my belly for me which I'm pleased with. My c-section overhand is reducing nicely and my stomach looks flatter overall.

Well done to everyone reporting losses and NSV. Everyone else, KOKO.

Nice low carb deserts with a bit of tweaking are cheesecake (try ground almonds for base) and dark chocolate mousse made with avocado. The Ditch the Carbs site has some lovely ideas for special occasion recipes.

OldBooks · 26/06/2017 08:40

I have just put beef mince layered with courgette and aubergine in the slow cooker. What would you pour over that sauce-wise? I have run out of eggs, but have creme fraiche and cheddar cheese, could mix them and pour over?

C4pinkwheels · 26/06/2017 08:43

Oldbooks I would just put water or stock and then stir in some creme fraiche just before you eat it.

cathyandclare · 26/06/2017 08:44

I think creme fraiche and cheese on that would be delicious!

Sunborn · 26/06/2017 08:46

I'm trying not to snack so much on the nuts at work this week. My goal is no nuts.

Breakfast: Greek yogurt
Lunch: feta, courgette and asparagus quiche with packet of seaweed thins.
Dinner: lamb stew with herby cauliflower rice and bonus chopped courgette.

I have a mini bar of dark chocolate with me, in case I need to defend myself against the free nut machines - but hopefully I won't eat it.

Kleptronic · 26/06/2017 08:48

1.2lb on but I am not despondent. I did lots of exercise yesterday and my arms are killing me! AF due next week so I'm putting it down to water retention. It's not the wine, ho no...

Naschkatze · 26/06/2017 08:57

2.5lb off! That's a record for me. I didn't reduce dairy as much as I wanted due to bad meal planning but it looks like it might have made a difference. I'll try to keep up with the reduced amount this week (but I'm quite glad to know I can lose while having a bit!)

Well done everyone.

C4pinkwheels · 26/06/2017 09:00

I've stayed the same - what the hell am I doing wrong?

I don't snack, I don't cheat, I don't drink, I eat small portions because I know it doesn't take a lot of calories to run my broken body yet I've only lost 7lb in six weeks. I know this WOE worked for me when I was fully functioning and able bodied but I find myself doubting if it's right for someone with the health problems I have.

BIWI if I write down what I eat will you analyse it for me please.Sad

Bibs2014 · 26/06/2017 09:00

1.5 off! Proper chuffed with that!

Sick of eggs for breakfast now though 😂

CodLiverOil556 · 26/06/2017 09:01

Only 0.4lb off for me this week but fat content has dropped so am happy. Also I've got a squidgy belly so hoping for a whoosh at some point. Am 3 days into the shred and muscles no longer hurt so any water I'm holding onto will bugger off soon

Some marvellous losses reported and we're nearly there Grin

Keep going peeps

dustmotesinthesun · 26/06/2017 09:07

I've stayed exactly the same since last week. Have eaten good foods every day so i'm obviously due a loss. It just hasn't turned up yet. Not worried at this point. Will KOKO.

AdalindSchade · 26/06/2017 09:11

C4 7lb in 6 weeks is good loss!
It is working for you. Look at the spreadsheet - 7lb is more than most have lost

TheWayOfTheWorld · 26/06/2017 09:14

2.8lb on for me. I was a bit of a carby twat on Friday and Sunday during my weekend away...

Friday:

  • did 5k run and had creamy coffee for breakfast followed by egg mayo salad. So far so good.
  • on train with friends had a gin and tonic and peanuts. Plus a few crisps Blush
  • dinner was a BBQ. Had a burger (with some bun) and salad. Plus a small slice of birthday cake.
  • where it really went horribly wrong was the alcohol. Large glass of champagne followed by large glass of prosecco followed by large glass of white followed by large glass of red.

Oh dear.

Saturday. Stuck to LCHF like an angel.
B: none. Had hangover from hell (actually vomited a couple of times, I was mortified) and was not in any fit state to go near food. Felt so foolish.
L: ploughmans without the bread. Plenty of water.
D: pork steaks, sausages and salad. Had cream and creme fraiche for pudding. Small glass of fizz.

Sunday
B: still going welll. Creamy coffee with bacon and eggs.
L: roast beef with cauliflower cheese. Also had a bit of Yorkshire pudding and 3 roast potatoes (which were worth it) followed by an ice-cream sundae (which was mainly cream and strawberries).
D: none, too stuffed from lunch.

So, nearly 3lbs up on the scales but I know I haven't put that on in "fat" - I've listed everything because I need to be held accountable.

I am putting the weekend behind me and firmly back on track today: I really want to be in the 130s by the time I go on holiday in 4 weeks and I also want those new shoes!

Well done to everyone else Flowers

B: creamy coffee, will see how hungry I feel after that
L and D: TBC. Am working from home today so may whip up something eggy for lunch. Thinking of courgetti carbonara or Parmesan chicken for dinner.

styledilemma · 26/06/2017 09:20

For the gin drinkers, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but I think the Fevertree light tonic is not good for LCHF. It -or the gin kicked me out of keto on the weekend and from googling it appears to have fructose in it, which is bad for triggering an insulin response. Schweppes slimline is the tonic of choice but lots of places don't do it anymore

I find Gin & Soda tastes really nice, especially if you have it with ice and a slice and squeeze the lemon or lime slice into the drink and swish it around a bit, so that it gives the whole thing some flavour.
I've got that I prefer it to tonic.

I haven't weighed yet, because I've had my two cups of tea and breakfast, so I'm waiting for it to get out of my system.
Every little helps Grin

prettybird · 26/06/2017 09:20

A little woosh and 3lb off for me Smile That's 10lb off since the start of Boot Camp Smile - down to 14st 3lb.

Being more active and getting to bed earlier also seems to help Smile

In a NSV, I can now do up some cropped linen trousers that were big in me 2 years ago but I couldn't even do up at the beginning of Boot Camp Blush. Still a bit tight to wear outside - but it shouldn't be long before I can. Smile

styledilemma · 26/06/2017 09:21

So I have a cream tea to get through later on today.
Any suggestions for navigating my way around it?

TheWayOfTheWorld · 26/06/2017 09:30

style eat the sandwich fillings, swerve the cake and scones and eat the cream. Try to make sure you have had something to eat beforehand so you are less likely to be a carby twat tempted

TimeIhadaNameChange · 26/06/2017 09:31

Not a brilliant weekend. DP has done all the food shopping for the last few weeks (he's been away at the weekends, so did the shopping on the way back) which has meant we've had a large quantity of bizarre stuff (he bought two large bags of carrots the second time, despite their being most of the bag he bought the week before left, for the two of us). I really didn't want to throw it all away. So Friday night I made a pavlova (only way the, many, raspberries would be touched) and ended up making a pasta dish as well, to use up some of the veg. (I know, I know, but any ideas I had for non-carb meals were thwarted by failing to have vital ingredients in, and by the end I just couldn't be bothered thinking of anything else. Mea Culpa.) The pasta was an interesting lesson, mind, as it was so unfilling. Not doing that again. Oh, and I had a wee glass of wine as well.

Sat was better, as everything up to dinner was BC, my main course was a bowl of French Onion Soup and then some more pavlova.

Yesterday I has a potato scone with my fry-up, then avoided the tatties and carrots with dinner, but did have a very very small portion of sticky toffee pudding (by very small I mean an cubic inch).

Not brilliant, but that's been reflected in the fact that my weight's gone back up this morning. But that's ok as I'll do BC proper this week again.

prettybird · 26/06/2017 09:34

For a low carb desert, I was also going to suggest the chocolate pots. Essentially just chocolate and eggs, with a little bit of orange zest and juice (one orange divided amongst 8 portions so not much), cardamom infused milk (next time I'll try infusing cream rather than milk). Very rich so a little one is plenty.

JiminnyCricket · 26/06/2017 09:38

Morning! Well today was my last weigh in and I'm at 15st 10lbs Grin

In much cooler news though, check out my bad self in my target shorts!! Grin

For anyone using weight as their only measure of success.. there's a measley 7lbs between these 2 photos.. yup. This is why I'm not weighing.

I've also decided to stop tracking my food for a while. This is a BIG deal for me because my trust in my own hunger signals etc is not good, but if this is going to be sustainable I need to be able to not track everything I eat. You can't do it accurately anyway so I KNOW I only do it for my insecurities and not because it's actually useful.

So. 100 days, no tracking my food, no weighing myself and absolutely no fixating on either. Argh.

Had a very chilled weekend at home as planned hence why I wasn't active on the thread Blush

Today:
B: fasting
L: tuna, ff mayo, lemon juice, fresh dill and salad
D: Not entirely sure but it's post gym, so probably stir fry with peanut butter and prawns in it or something to that effect!

Gym session tonight is spinning and then a PT catch up, going to tell her my no tracking and no weighing plan and see what she thinks!
