Morning campers!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some good losses reported already this morning!

Four weeks left, so we could still see a good half stone disappear if we're vigilant.

The hot weather looks like it's disappearing this week, so hopefully anyone still struggling with water retention should find some relief.

But good luck to us all

Me too style. 6 whole weeks! It's unheard of.

styledilemma · 02/07/2017 22:27

I know we're supposed to weigh tomorrow, but I have to leave early in the morning, so I've had a sneaky weigh now and I've lost 1 pound! Smile
I'm ecstatic as I've slipped a little bit this week (because of being on holiday)
But even though I was a carby twat at times, I didn't eat and snack in between meals and I was doing a lot of walking and swimming, which I think counter balanced things?
So, to me 1 pound loss is a result.

Mandelinka · 02/07/2017 22:28

notso and cherries
Thank you for the recipes, it's exactly what I was looking for.

oldbooks we love Hungary, never been to Budapest but spent really lovely week by Balaton few summers ago. I remember some awesome red wines... And always wanted to go to Bslqton Sounds. Hopefully one day Wink

Thanks for the welcome. Yes it seems I'm doing Bootcamp Light.

We've had a weekend of entertaining but I've managed to resist most of it, thank god for low carb ice cream! I tried the suggestion of having sort of fajitas in lettuce wraps. I did use a bit of a shortcut by using Waitrose Salsa and their Easy To Cook Salt Beef but I had no other carbs so was fine and really delicious, didn’t even miss the tortillas.

I really have to recommend the Oppo choc ice cream, I assume only OK for those on ‘light’ like me but, its almost Nutella like and about 7g of carbs per 2 scoops. Did Tiramisu (my favourites ever dessert) for friends and if it weren’t for the ice cream I’d have completely gorged on it. Have still lost weight this weekend and still in ketosis.

Frustratingly despite the weight loss, my jeans that were lose last week were hard to do up today! I’m a ‘babe who bloats’ so putting it down to that or DH has been hot washing them (again!). Hopefully will see better changes again soon.

Mandelinka my parents live next to Balaton, beautiful views of the lake from their terrace. Gorgeous part of the world

secretsignal · 02/07/2017 22:34

Thanks BIWI, guess I'll find out tomorrow!
Great quote flummoxed/old, think I'll borrow that one.

OldBooks · 02/07/2017 22:34

flummoxed so pleased that mantra worked for you today!

Mandelinka · 02/07/2017 22:44

Cleareyes C4 Jim

Sounds like the last few days were rather hard on you/family. It's wonderful you are still here with us, chatting about food, life and Kokoing.

Hopefully the second half of 2017 is going to be a bit easier on our bodies and minds.

Mandelinka · 02/07/2017 22:53

Food today:
B: the morning was beautiful so we had our fryup in the garden (bacon, egg, mushrooms, avocado, radishes)
L: picnic in the park, was hoping to get something from the cafe but ended up nibbling on some peppers, carrots and radishes.
D: roasted chicken drumsticks in homemade BBQ sauce. Asparagus, broccoli and green beans. I boiled some rice for DH and had a taste to see if cooked. It tasted incredibly sweet! I was shocked. Confused
S: 2 coffees, ff Greek with nectarine and chia seeds. Small piece of exploded Edam
Water 2.5 l.

There is a lot of veg in the fridge I need to use up as I'm going away soon to visit my parents. My DH won't do any cooking while I'm away, so tomorrow will be spent doing packing and prepping food for the next few days.

Kleptronic · 02/07/2017 23:48

I seem to be eating every 12 hours.

Fri evening, dinner at 8 as usual. So Sat day, fried egg, 2 rashers of bacon a sausage and a protein roll. Mega french mayo. Last (Sat) night, after picking up returning child from school trip, herring in tomato and pepper sauce and scrambled eggs, 11pm.
Today (Sunday) keto coconut pancakes at 12pm. Mega butter.

Then (loads of inconsequential faffing about, 3 bourbons and 3 wine and sodas) steak, swede fries, edam and creamy coleslaw at 11.30pm.

Is it bad to eat so late on? I know there's no green in there, but I spent all week inhaling spinach, broccoli, cauliflower and kale. And belly pork. I know the booze is bad. Baaad Kleptronic!

naschkatze when I was in labour at home I got transferred to hospital due to having lots of ketones in my wee for two tests in a row. The ketones were high because I'd been throwing up constantly for 72 hours. Apparently the reason why they dont like the high ketones when in labour is that its strongly linked with ineffective contractions. I don't think they tested me for ketones while pregnant I thought they were testing for proteins in my wee but I might be wrong.

Naschkatze · 03/07/2017 01:42

Thanks Moist. I like post gin explanations!

Scooby You're right. I think they do test for ketones too though. I had a nosy at the test strips when I was in for monitoring once and pretty sure it was on there.. You can find out for me in a few weeks! Grin I'd say 72 hours of vomiting is a severe way to try and get into ketosis!

OldBooks · 03/07/2017 07:27

Does anyone else spend too much time on Monday mornings refreshing the thread to get the link to the new thread? Possibly before realising that BIWI probably hasn't got up with a teething baby at 4.30 and hasn't made the new thread yet....

BIWI · 03/07/2017 07:34
Grin

Sorry to keep you waiting!

And thank goodness I don't have a teething baby!

Glad to 'hide' this morning's result on the 'old' thread. Despite no cheating, I've gained nearly 4lb. Not a happy cat! Mind you, the scales were giving all sorts of readings so who knows what is going on! It's quite humid here at the moment, wonder if that might affect me?? (Grabbing at any straw I can find!).
It's a good thing the food tastes so good, or I'd really be struggling Oh well, let's see how this week goes!

MOIST · 03/07/2017 07:38

Bastard bloody alcohol and sugar. Angry

BIWI · 03/07/2017 07:38

@Craftypuss - it could be water retention (drink more water!) Or, it could just be that the batteries are going in your scales (assuming they're battery-operated).

Anyway, here's the link to the new thread

Thanks BIWI! Teething is the absolute worst Sad

Craftypuss · 03/07/2017 07:43

Thanks, BIWI - I'll hope, and keep on drinking!! (Somehow, that sounds wrong....!)

Naschkatze · 03/07/2017 08:27

Oldbooks I'm with you on the teething...

JiminnyCricket · 03/07/2017 12:18

My lunch Grin

Feel like I should add some token salad leaves to make it less beige Blush
