Remember, week 4 is, like week 3, a time when weight loss tends to be pretty slow, if not non-existent. KOKO and persevere, and things will get going again soon.

But not if you cheat! Whilst many of you have been very honest about your transgressions, just remember that this WOE is not a very forgiving one. It's not like a calorie-controlled diet, where you can compensate for one 'bad' day with a 'good' one. As some of you have already found out the hard way!

I too have gained according to this mornings scales insult. I did have flax seed bread yesterday so hope its that as I havent cheated but did have a glass of wine both sat and sunday. Will reweigh later after a gallon of water.

I've not been much of a carb twat but keep falling face first into a bottle of wine.
I have a too tight dress I need too be in for a wedding on the 9th of July. Need to stop cheating!
1.6lb off this week, and i need a belt for my jeans so things are happening!

NSVs - can now fasten a teeny-tiny vintage watch I own once more, albeit on the largest buckle hole!

I can do up my too-tight skirt ... if I suck my stomach in and don't breathe, that is!

Morning! KOKO everyone Smile. I'm not weighing in officially but I did jump on the ancient and wonky scales yesterday and appear to have lost 4 or 5lbs. I checked again this morning and it's still the same - not a fluke or my eyes deceiving me Smile. I am closer to 13st than 14st and so close to moving into the 12st bracket.

Stunt I like the taste Marigold organic swiss vegetable bouillon powder. It seems to be quite carby though. I haven't had it as a drink since week 1. I've got some miso soup sachets buried somewhere. I'll try and find them to check the carb content.

Morning all. Week 3/4 are tough, aren't they? This is where I have given up before twice. Flowers for all and koko.
So, it' snow 3 weeks since I last weighed and I do find it liberating. It was difficult at first and sometimes, especially when I'm feeling thinner, I have a strong urge to weigh. But I haven't. May weigh in 2 weeks at the half way point, may weigh at the end. I'll see how I feel.

So, my news is that I CAN KNIT! Grin Well, sort off. Had a great day, although not the most active. Food wise was fine, I avoided the biscuits, but was a bit down on my water. I tried to catch up yesterday evening.

Food today:
B: black coffee
L: leftover roast chicken, mashed cauliflower, buttered leeks and broccoli
D: something with sausages and veg
S: creamy coffee, one or two.

Also, hoping to go for a run tonight.
KOKO everyone, it will be worth it in the end.

I'm 11st8 this morning, 3 lb loss this week, but I had remained the same last weigh in. A week before BC started officially I started meddling with LCing and that week I was a whole stone heavier than I am now! And I'm 1 lb of being in my bmi's healthy range. Feeling very pleased with myself. I wasn't expecting that as I've been feeling quite bloated the last few days, so I'm made up. Going to have a week of no snacking and posting all my meals on here. I might try intermittent fasting some days.

I'm really pissed off I've gained 2.6lbs, I know I don't move much but I had one slice of birthday cake on Tuesday, one gin and tonic and no other cheats. That means I've only lost 5lbs in three weeks and I feel a bit pathetic I'm also back to 11st, it felt so good last Monday when the scales said 10Sad

Does anyone know if antibiotics can affect weight loss? I've been on Trimethoprim, co-amoxiclav and Nitrofurantoin, last day today.

I can only think I'm eating far too much. Sad

Found you. Sharing sympathy with those of you having bad weeks! If BIWI says it is to be expected, then it is expected I guess.

I'm 0.2lb down on two weeks ago - that's it! But 5.8lb down overall since I started (a few days ahead of BC) . Still plenty to go. And I'm trying really hard, doing 16:8 five days a week.

C4 I don't know the answer to that but I had a week's course of high dose Clarithmycin in week 2-3 and put on half a pound despite being strict, so I had a similar experience.

I'm not for a weigh in until tomorrow, but have a feeling there won't be much to celebrate. Too much dark chocolate is definitely staling my progress. Will collect all the bits of chocolate hidden around the house ( my work bag, bedside table etc) and put it in the freezer. I hate cold chocolate so won't be tempted

I am otherwise very happy on this WOE and enjoying the food so much. My body shape has changed so much in the last 2 weeks it's incredible. I feel slim and confident.
I can really see myself eating like this forever.
B: prob egg with cream cheese mixed with beetroot pure. Radishes.
L: cauliflower, haloumi, salad
D: chicken drumsticks with broccoli

Have lost 2.8lb since last Mon - but had fallen off the wagon completely in first weeks of BC so am not back to starting weight yet. Last week I was better, although barely hanging on by my fingertips to BC rules and not been posting. I think I'm slowly starting to get back into the right mindset. Just had breakfast today but will try IF this week to give myself a boost.

Did I miss an exciting discovery about LC squirty cream in the fast-moving early threads? I saw a reference to it, but couldn't find the original comment...

Well done to those who've lost and Flowers to those who are disappointed this morning.

Baby seems to have hit the 4 month sleep regression. I think I've had 3 hours sleep because he would not be put down and at 4am I nearly fell into all the carbs. In the broken sleep I did have I even dreamt about cake! BlushGrin My 4am pick me up was a large spoon of peanut butter - could have been worse. The only thing that stopped me hitting the toast and biscuits was that it's weigh in day if I'm honest.

I've stayed the same, again (well 0.2lb down...) I guess considering I had a couple of days off plan while away this isn't bad. Will keep on.
Wombattoo can you add it to the spreadsheet please? I didn't manage it last week - 138.2lbs

Just checking in - as mentioned on the other thread I am just starting, if anyone knows how to add a line to the spreadsheet then please can they add one for me?

Got a wedding in 2 weeks and the most flattering dress I can find still makes me look like a sack of spuds! I know I am not going to dramatically change my appearance in 2 weeks, but if I have lost a couple of pounds then I may just feel a little bit better in myself.

Breakfast of egg in a cup today!
Plan carrot and ginger soup, plus salad today for lunch
Dinner will be tofu with veggies fried in coconut oil.

I know carrots are quite carby, but they are on the allowed list so will my (homemade with no thickeners etc) soup be ok?

Pleased with that. 1 week to holiday. Would like to shave a bit more before we go so another week of BC for me.

As BIWI rightly says, this WOE is unforgiving if you cheat as I've been reminded. I'm really pleased to have lost 2.2lb this week but because of the 3.8lb gain last Monday because of a carby weekend, I'm only 0.6lb down from my starting weight. I've done low carb before so I should know this but it's a good reminder of why it's important to stay on track.

Well done to everyone who's lost and FlowersKOKO to those who haven't.

I've been pretty good this past week just need to carry on with more of the same, make sure to drink my water and focus on only eating when hungry and stopping when I'm not. The first bit I mostly do, the latter needs some work.

Game plan:

  1. DON'T FUCKING CHEAT
  2. Don't eat so much dairy. Dairy (cream & cheese) to be component of meals but not main part or snack. Greek yog to be limited to a few spoons for dessert if needed.
  3. Up the salad and veg.
  4. Try not to eat for emotional reasons. If feeling snacking/craving urge then drink big mug of hot tea

I will stick your game plan to the fridge for reference as all the above seem to apply to me ...BlushHmmShock

Heman That's the one I use. It is carby but I only have half a teaspoon in a mug once a day cos it's quite strong. I figured it only adds 1 carb, I can live with that Grin

only .25lb loss this week. was hoping for more as I had stuck to Bootcamp because of the disastrous eating out the week before.

i am managing to stick to this diet really well. However I think I need the sun to shine for me to lose weight.

Cherry to reduce the carb count of your yogurt you just need to leave it to culture for longer.

C4 lots of medicines affect your weight. KOKO.

I like the look of OldBooks's game plan so I'm going to steal that idea...

  1. Have three 16-hour fasts this week.
  2. No dairy apart from butter (I can't be trusted with access to cream!).
  3. No alcohol until the weekend.

After a minor cake-related transgression last weekend, stuck to the rules religiously this week. After what seemed like days of scales-watching stagnation, finally...success this morning! Holiday coming up so looking forward to wearing shorts I thought I'd never get back into.
Today's plan:
B: coffee with cream; Greek yogurt.
L: cold roast chicken salad
D: omelette with mushrooms fried in butter, salad.
Lots of water.

Morning all, batteries run out on scales so will get some and weigh in tomorrow am.

Managed to stay on track with food despite massive foodie and party weekend. Too much wine though, hoping the scales are kind tomorrow. tried my dress and it's wearable now, although there's a bit of back flab overspill. Three weeks to go...

B: Oopsie roll, butter and marmite
L: Chicken and avo salad
D: Asparagus and parmesan frittata

One pound off. Pleased with that. I'd promised myself that after the initial woosh, I'd be happy with an average of 1lb a week for a year.

6lb since I started (upped my start weight a lb as I only weighed in 3 days in, having low carbed a couple of days before that, so I'm making an assumption) so that's me down to 14st 7lb Smile

Did get down to 14st 6lb one day last week after 7 hours out leafleting, but then was up all night on election night (with some bubbly Blush) and have been a bit slow since then parked in front of the TV in fascination at the clusterfuck being played out
