I don't think that BIWI has managed to post a new thread so I'll do this one.

I don't have the wise words of BIWI so I'll just say that by now you should be more in the swing of lcing so just keep it up and remember, only 1 week until bclite.

Hopefully you all have a successful weigh-in but if not, don't be disheartened. Post for some help and we will do our best.

Looks like moussaka night on here tonight, very nice. Grin
We're having creamy broccoli and fish casserole - lots of butter and cream - with buttered spring greens.
social 1.5 stone in 3-4 weeks is amazing. And as Sayrra said, week 4-5 is notorious for weight plateauing. You are doing fab, just koko. If you post your food, then I'm sure the knowledgeable ones will be able to critique it.

HemanOrSheRa · 02/06/2017 19:17

Oooh. ilove I love you Grin. The Moussaka is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for creating such a delicious dish and taking the time to post the recipe Smile.

CaptainBraandPants · 02/06/2017 19:18

Thanks Chester. It's a fast moving thread, I keep missing things. I think we are going to fill this one up before Monday, too.

LadyMaryofDownt0n · 02/06/2017 19:45

Hi, well done everyone so far!

I started on Tuesday & so far I've lost 6lbs. Feeling a lot better & healthier. Even squeezed into a pair of shorts today. However I lifted a handful of chips if the kids plate & ate them!!! I seriously hope I haven't reversed the process 😭

Yorkshirebornandbred · 02/06/2017 19:47

Today I wasn't really hungry at all and out and about all day so just had creamy coffee and a cold sausage for breakfast, lunch was a little egg mayonnaise from yesterday and another cold sausage grabbed on the hop. Dinner is nearly ready .. chicken breast cooked in the oven with butter with wilted spinach and French beans (? The long thin ones .. I'm not sure which they are on the spreadsheet so will only have a few) and more butter! Snacks: several creamy coffees and a bag of pork scratchings.

GetReady · 02/06/2017 19:52

Social - well done! Baby cake weight is a bitch nightmare 😂😂😂

I'm crap, sorry. Had a Diet Coke and 3 glasses of red :-( could be worse, could have been a massive slice of chocolate cake! But, I resisted the food!! So, technically should burn off the alcohol and still be in ketosis!

styledilemma · 02/06/2017 19:54

I'm jealous of those who say they're not hungry.
I wish I could lose my appetite Hmm When does that side of things happen?
I'm think I'm doing everything right.
I haven't cheated. I eat enough fat.
I'm eating 3 decent size meals a day
I have more than enough water, ditto salt.
and yet, about an hour after eating, I'm hungry again Sad

Still, the weighing scales have been steadily moving in the right direction, so I need to look at the positives. Maybe I have a naturally large appetite.

explodingkittens · 02/06/2017 20:03

Bit of an odd day today, food wise. BIWI may wish to get her stick out...

Had a work thing all day where (yet again) much baking had been done and the table was piled with brownies, pastries, etc. But a colleague who is also low-carbing brought along some cheese and cocktail sausages and strawberries. So I ate a handful of almonds, a couple of sausages, a couple of slices of cheese and maybe 4-5 strawbs. Really didn't want much else.

And a thumbnail sized bit of homemade choc caramel brownie

Came home and dp had bought cottage pie which I didn't fancy, especially the thought of having to scrape off the potato!

So I chopped an avocado in half, filled the hole with cream cheese, covered that with a slice of smoked salmon and put a fried egg on top. Bloody lovely and am totally stuffed now!

But obvs not enough veg or water (and not enough brownie either tbh Wink)

Cookingongas · 02/06/2017 20:12

Is fennel allowed? The my fitness pal listings are wildly varied and I can't access the spreadsheet on my phone Hmmstupid iPhone.

styledilemma · 02/06/2017 20:15

There's no way I would be stuffed after that. My obviously gigantic overstretched stomach would think that was a merely a 'snack'.

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 20:17

Laughing at all the mousakka! Glad you like it, I'm going to have a play with some other meals next week, see what I can make work. Today was clearing the fridge out day before the big drop again tomorrow. All we have in it at the moment is water, a few eggs for breakfast and a few snack cheeses. Anyway -

B: poached egg on left-over long stem brocilli quickly heated up in butter Grin
L: Left over mousakka and a few sad spinach leaves
D: Leftover chicken thigh, half a bag of mixed leaves,a celery stick, 1/4 avocado, two mini mozerella balls, and a couple of inches of cucumber. Olive oil dressing. Couldn't actually eat it all.

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 20:19

Big shop, not drop (I wish!)

notevenamum1 · 02/06/2017 20:19

Silently watching and avidly participating. Am I skinny yet??

glenthebattleostrich · 02/06/2017 20:20

Congratulations on the NSVs so far.

A funny couple of days, it's half term and we've been out and about loads so having loads of picnics and picky food so I've not really managed many meals. Been quite active though so happy with that.

The scales this morning said 2lb off this week so planning a very good weekend with no snacks and lots of healthy choices. Also not going to be out and about much this weekend apart from the normal shopping etc so can get a couple of runs in and possibly an exercise video. I really need to end the week well.

Slightly random, possibly daft, question but with the fruit infusion bottle can I add fruits like apple or mango? I know they are off the menu to eat but just wondering if I could get my fix that way.

secretsignal · 02/06/2017 20:35

Phew! Took ages to catch up with thread again, getting sidelong glances from DH coz I'm always on my phone!
Brunch: Lovely breakfast out, 2 fried eggs, crispy bacon, enormous sausage.
D: Green Salad with fried chicken pieces, lush Cornish cheddar, avocado and marscapone
S: 2 teaspoons Greek yog, 2 slices halloumi

2.5l water, 3 teas with almond milk, 2 black coffees.

MOIST · 02/06/2017 20:36

I've given in and having a glass of red. Got some life pondering to do.

B. Cream coffee
9.30. Yogurt
L. Cabbage, courgette, mushroom ricotta mix
S. Celery, cheese, avocado
D. Avocado, olives, cheese

Got career decisions to make. Difficult.

HemanOrSheRa · 02/06/2017 20:44

Oof. I'm in bed so I can avoid the temptation of wine. I knackered anyway and I've got an early morning Ocado delivery tomorrow. Wine will NOT help!

WaaWaaWaaa · 02/06/2017 21:07

Style! I'm like that I look at things like 1/2 an avocado and think AND!!! But I guess A that's probably why I'm fat and B it's early days yet! Give it another few weeks and we too will have the appetites of sparrows!

I remembered I had this tonight... Is it okay? I'm guessing it is as slim n save is a ketogenic vlcd.

Any way out dinner was lovely had steak with mushrooms and a baked aubergine with cheese on it! Yum. Hubby turned down the offer of chips to be supportive!!! 😘

Goodness, this thread moves quickly, thank you everyone for contributing to this amazing place.

Just home and I had just put a celeriac au gratin in the oven and wondered what i could possibly do to keep myself busy for 45mins. That was before I saw how fast this thread has been moving. Thank you i think it was styledilemma who suggested celeriac to get the old digestion going and whoever very kindly posted recently in the recipe thread ((sorry, cant look back to see names from here) ), so i found it quickly.

And to Stuntnun for suggesting that i try to adopt a squatting position. Who knew?

Cherries Moussaka is on my meal plan for next week. I'm very much looking forward to it!

Dinner was delicious, chorizo and prawn courgetti. I did not miss the pasta. I've been avoiding pasta dishes because I love pasta so much I thought I'd miss it. The spiralizer made all the difference Grin

Was craving hot chocolate. I made a warm almond milk instead. It wasn't nice.

Just seen a photo of myself from a year ago, just before I found out I was pregnant, when I was two dress sizes smaller and confident enough in the size of my thighs to wear brightly coloured jeans. They are in the back of my wardrobe and I will wear them again! No more flapjack

MOIST · 02/06/2017 21:37

Oh lord. The wine! The cheese! The wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

secretsignal · 02/06/2017 21:41

Oooh just had my first NSV!! Put on pyjama pants and they didn't need to stretch round my tummy. They just sit there. Not stretching. Will not weigh coz like others on this thread I get a bit fixated, but will go to bed happy tonight.

Jim you look lovely.

OldBooks · 02/06/2017 21:49

Have a great night Jim

Feeling a bit bloated and ugh today, for which I blame AF. Was very very tempted to get a cheeky chocolate bar earlier, you know the mindset, eat it on the way home and it "doesn't count". But I didn't! Stayed on target. Have probably had way too much cream, but at least binging on approved foods.

Style KOKO and the appetite may reduce, I would never ever ever have thought I would not be fussed about meals yet it is happening. It is strange! Is this how 'normal' people feel? Those ones who stop eating when they're full or refuse a cake because they don't fancy it and who put half a mars bar in the fridge for later?
