I don't think that BIWI has managed to post a new thread so I'll do this one.

I don't have the wise words of BIWI so I'll just say that by now you should be more in the swing of lcing so just keep it up and remember, only 1 week until bclite.

Hopefully you all have a successful weigh-in but if not, don't be disheartened. Post for some help and we will do our best.

cherries I just saw your link.
That's the one I wanted! Smile I had a look and it doesn't seem as if they have any 'long' left, in any of the sizes. Why do they never get enough made? Beats me.

styledilemma · 02/06/2017 13:08

Happy to report that in the last half hour,

Elvis has finally Left The Building.

Grin Grin Grin
must have been all the celeriac at yesterday lol.

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 13:09

Yes, they didn't have the long even a month ago. I'm 5'7, and decided to risk the regular, and it's sitting right on my knee, so I'm ok with that.

MOIST · 02/06/2017 13:26

I am happy for you style.

It would be useful Ito eat celeriac but it makes me vom.

And while I'm discussing body fluids (like I do all day every day - am MW!). My wee smells most peculiar. I'm at work and drinking lots so not dehydrated at all.

WaaWaaWaaa · 02/06/2017 13:31

Snork @ @Elvis has finally Left The Building.@

ShastaBeast · 02/06/2017 13:41

I was very bad last night and had a few g&ts. I hardly ever drink so it was good to get out I was well behaved with food. Carbs slipped over 50g as a result but ketosis stick showed purple when I got home so maybe it wasn't too bad. I'm drinking lots and eating well. My body isn't appreciating the alcohol as I'm not used to it.

Yesterday -
Creamy coffee and yoghurt
Salad, avocado, olives and mozzarella
Tea and coffee with cream
Chicken thighs stir fry - DH made "boodles" but butternut squash is too carby so I had a small taste - it was unpleasantly sweet. I usually enjoy butternut squash, especially soup.

Today so far the same minus avocado. Salmon and veggies possibly for dinner.

Going to a wedding tomorrow but I'll be bringing some food for the buffet anyway so I'll be covered along with the hog roast. Yum.

Bibs2014 · 02/06/2017 13:58

Ended up not going to Nando's last night so dinner in was beef kebabs with salad and roasted asparagus - yummy!

Today's menu:

1 egg, creamy coffee and a pot of greek yoghurt
Chicken, coleslaw and salad for lunch
Dinner probably same as yesterday as it was so yum! Beef kebabs with salad and roasted asparagus.

RedBeanie · 02/06/2017 14:37

Coleslaw! Why didn't I think of that!

Cookingongas · 02/06/2017 14:37

Breakfast- asparagus wrapped in prosciutto dipped in eggs

Lunch- meats and cheese probably. Might do a spinach gogonzola salad.

Dinner- chicken stuffed with cheese wrapped in bacon, with roast med veg.

Creamy coffee for desert.

Facing down the weekend is hardest for me. I know dh will suggest wine tonight "it's Friday"
He'll no doubt suggest takeaway or cake or chocolate or wine gums as a weekend treat tomorrow. And I've to contend with Sunday lunch and it's dessert Sunday.

But I'm feeling better today. My ibs has been improved since I started and yesterday's flu has gone.

I'm going to plan some very nice lc meals for the weekend- things that the family won't notice so much.

GoodBadOrIndifferent · 02/06/2017 14:41

Is anyone else losing weight specifically off their stomach? (NOT complaining!)
I lost 2.5 stone years ago calorie counting and it was pretty equal all over, of course I then put it all back on and more Sad
I'm only 7lb down from 17.5 stone but my belly has really shrunk!

FinallyHere · 02/06/2017 14:49

Gratters style

[adding celeriac to shopping list]

JiminnyCricket · 02/06/2017 14:58

goodbad my weight loss has been really odd on LC:

Wierdly my measurements didn't budge for the first 20lbs at all, but from 20lbs - 30lbs I lost tons off my belly and went from a 22 to an 18 in 2 weeks pretty much. I'm shaped like a number 8 (very sticky out hips and big bum and massive thighs, tiny waist for my size but broad shouldered although not big boobed unfortunately). It seems to have come off my arms, belly, waist and a bit off my face but none off my bum or thighs! So now the 8 shape is a bit wierd looking and I'm bottom heavy...

Just this week I've dropped 4 inches off my bum and 2 off my thighs (doubt the scales have changed much though) but none off my top half at all so I think im going top, bottom, top, bottom Grin

I reckon your body accesses fat from where you have the most initially which for me is my hips, bum and tummy.

GoodBadOrIndifferent · 02/06/2017 15:14

That's amazing progress jiminny! How much weight have you lost overall?
I'm assuming it has something to do with lower insulin levels. I know I'm insulin resistant (weight, and had gestational diabetes with DS). It's good. I hate the double belly look especially now everything's high waisted!

L238 · 02/06/2017 15:15

Feeling a bit crap and sorry for myself today although I think it's partly weather related - horribly muggy today.
The scales haven't budged all week and I'm feeling weirdly bloated. A skirt that felt loose on Weds isn't loose today. Don't think I'm constipated.

I'm sure I've been sticking to the rules so hoping it's all just water sitting in the fat cells, will keep going. Very inspired by everyone on here & enjoying reading your posts

JiminnyCricket · 02/06/2017 15:17

GoodBadOrIndifferent I'm insulin resistant (well, pre-diabetic) too.

I've lost 32lbs on LC since feb and 42 in total since new year :)

L238 · 02/06/2017 15:18

Also didn't mean to sound self-centred, I know there are lots of ppl on this thread battling way more problems than I am. Just having a little moan. Will give myself a talking to shortly and then lunch!

ASDismynormality · 02/06/2017 15:32

GoodBadOrIndifferent. I seem to have lost everywhere but my belly! I lose from my back, boobs arms and legs then eventually my belly so for a while before it goes down I look pregnant. Then the cycle starts all over again whereby I have a huge looking belly again.

I was pre-diabetic when I started but am hoping that my blood glucose levels have now dropped to normal range.

WaaWaaWaaa · 02/06/2017 15:34

Hey everyone

I cant wait for the official numbers on Monday. However I do have the weekend to get through first!!!

Today - Breakfast Muffins
L - Pork, Salad, avocado
D - Steak, mushrooms courgettes
Creamy coffee

Tomorrow I reckon

B- 2 sausages, bacon, mushrooms
L - Not sure.... maybe a salad
D - well.... I have some chicken thighs.. could do a chicken pesto cream sauce combo or a curry.

That's as far as I've got... Need to look up some exciting recipes and sides. I'm going to need HELP to get through the weekend! EEEEEK :(

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 15:41

You know, for years I thought the double belly thing was down to me wearing skirt suits at work. I thought it was some sort of compression thingBlush. For ages after I started to work at home, I was sure it would go because I was wearing leggings with tunics/loose dresses/yoga pants. I've only very recently realised it was a thing. Anyway, the top one seems to be where the weight is starting to shift from, although I thought this morning that the bottom one seemed a bit soft and jiggly. Not any smaller, just drooping a bit whereas normally it's quite firm. Such an attractive image.

MOIST · 02/06/2017 15:50

I may need wine this evening. I have to make a firm decision about what to do as a clinical project thing and also I've just been surprised by a potential job/role move I need to ponder on.

I am a very very wibbly indecisive person.

GoodBadOrIndifferent · 02/06/2017 15:53

Jiminny That is amazing! I saw your dress pic earlier in the thread, you look wonderful!
ASD I'm hoping the rest of my will start shifting as well. Do you check you blood sugar at all? I still have a meter from gestational diabetes, my fasting level was only going up.
L238 The last time I low carbed I stalled for 3 weeks really early, then whoosh! The storms have hit here in Essex so hopefully they'll make their way to you!
ilove The same, it's my upper belly that's going. Lower belly is still a flabby overhang

wombattoo · 02/06/2017 16:04

L238 You are entitled to have a moan Thanks

If you like, you could post what you have eaten in the last couple of days and we can see if we can spot anything that shouldn't be there.

I am sure that if you have stuck to the rules - you will be rewarded Smile

ASDismynormality · 02/06/2017 16:05

Goodbad I do sometimes check my blood glucose, after a meal it's never higher than 5.8 sometimes as low as 4.6 but fasting it can still be as high as 7 Confused. My last hba1c was 42 ( that was after 2 months LCHF) which is just in the pre-diabetes range. It was 44 previous to that. I had a blood test last week but the lab forgot to check my hba1c so need to go back for a retest!

ASDismynormality · 02/06/2017 16:07

L238. Could also be hormonal bloating. I personally bloat when ovulating and in the week leading to my period - so basically for half the month!

HemanOrSheRa · 02/06/2017 16:09

My top belly (lovely Grin) is definitely going. Bottom belly is squishy. I'm not too bothered about that. It can be dealt with - spanx etc. The sticky out top bit is what bothers me, making me feel fat and really uncomfortable.
